All sorts of your postings are coming up on my feed now that I subscribed a monthish ago. Love them, what a great use for the large zucchini in the soup. I have several baking recipes to use them but that’s the first soup one I have seen. As often one checks their plants there is always a few that hide away. I love to garden as well.
Haha the algorithm works! Glad to have you here :) I always plant too many courgette plants, I never learn! xx
Your tasty recipes have given an appetite for meat, chicken and fish. I've been struggling with veganism and vegetarianism, but your videos make it easier to eat. Thanks.
Aw glad you’re getting some inspiration 😊 I wish I could cook more veggie food xx
So glad I subscribed to your channel Claire. Getting some fab ideas. Peppers chop up and freeze (game changer). Tea towels to wipe surfaces etc instead of rolls and rolls of kitchen towel (huge money saver as I was going through loads of the stuff). Each time I watch a video of yours I go away with a great new hack, love it 😊. Meals all look amazing, I'm going to make the curry tomorrow and soup the day after. Thank you so much ❤
I’m so glad the videos have been helpful 😊 ooh let me know how you get on with the curry and the soup! Xx
@@mumthingssoup absolutely delicious 😋 thank you and curry tomorrow xx
Thank you , my daughter is coeliac , so your recipes are really helping with Gluten free . So expensive 😮
Glad to help! Yes it can me so pricey buying gluten free. I try and keep the cost down by not buying too much processed food and focussing on foods that are just naturally gluten free xx
You make some yummy meals. I remember the days of blowing on the meals I used to run outside and hold the bowl in the cold while freezing my bot off 😂 take care lovely 🥰 xxx
🤣 one day I won’t be cutting up food and blowing on it till I’m dizzy and I will be sad about it xx
@@mumthings I agree xxx
It's fantastic you serve baby the same 😊😊 My grandchildren eat three types of cooking.. Mama and Papa, Nana's and Avia's and they love everything 🥰🥰
Oh that’s good that they eat well 😊 it’s such luck of the draw with kids. We’re lucky our toddler is very good with food. I have some friends with picky eaters and it’s so tricky with them xx
Love your super easy way of cooking. It's hard to not feel under pressure every day for dinner, chuck it in the slow cooker and be done.. beef stroganoff will be on my menu next week, thanks for the inspiration x state of your hob.. see mine!!! Let's have no shame!😢
Thanks lovely 😊 there is a time in life for gourmet cooking, and a time for dump it and run meals. I’m knee deep in dump it and run season 🤣 oh there’s no shame here. A messy kitchen is a well used kitchen and that’s always a good thing xx
Lush.
This has got me thinking to do sausage cassoulet. Thanks for the inspiration 👌☺️💕
Ooh love a sausage cassoulet! Xx
@@mumthings yes 🙌☺️ xxx
I love beef stroganoff...am putting that on next week's meal plan!!
Definitely a favourite in this house! I will look forward to seeing it 😊 xx
The in thing at the moment for my teenager are chicken wraps.
Super easy to make and quite tasty too.
Salad / sauce and chicken goujons.
I'm absolutely craving a hearty beef strew !! Just took some diced beef out the freezer so I will prob have that on tomorrow.
Further proof that the kids get older, the food gets fancier but essentially it’s all about the chicken nuggets 🤣🤣 xx
@mumthings exactly !! We will be looking like a chicken wrap by the end of October 🤣🤣🤣
I'm just wondering what the next phase is... we have just got out of the overnight oats phase onto chicken wraps 🤣
It all looked terrific, Claire. It IS difficult coming up with meals over and over. We do the same meals week after week sometimes. Five meals, two days of leftovers. Repeat the next week. You could do that and even just change one or two days per week. I like mushroom ragu over polenta, but you could do it with sausage and onion and peppers for Ed. I made vegetarian and sausage stuffing and used fresh marjoram, sage, and thyme. So good! I also roasted a very lean turkey for Thanksgiving. Barely anything in the pan to make gravy with. Also made a veg mushroom gravy. Two kids are vegetarians, two are meat eaters. They brought potatoes and pies and pumpkin vegan chocolate chip cookies! I think you are doing a smashing job over there, Claire. Wish I could pop by and drop off something home cooked for you!
Your comments are always so kind, I so appreciate it! Yes leftovers are a life saver. Because I’m at home with the kids at the moment I use them for lunches and we have them at the weekend too. It’s such a life saver to be able to pull a full ready made meal out of the freezer xx
@@mumthings Your videos are so good, Claire, and your self-effacing sense of humour and humility are a gift and so enjoyable to watch.
I tried your orange chicken in my mini slow cooker tonight but did it with lemon and lime marmalade - It was really nice I also added a tablespoon of lemon juice too!!! ❤
Ooh that sounds fab! Glad you enjoyed xx
I was watching a Sephardic kosher meal prep ; she made a soup- minced chicken meatballs with lots of fresh herbs and spices + rice. She simmered them in a broth with lots of giblets minced carrots, onions, celery, and leeks. I made it with aboriginal rice and it was great! . Good to freeze too and gluten free.
That sounds so lovely! Thank you for the idea 😊 xx
Ooo Claire all your meals looked amazing this week, wintery comforting food, I'm not quite there yet its been a very warm 20 degs where I am windows wide open weather. Today I made pepperoni tomato and basil puff pastry squares with a little parmesan cheese lovey light and fresh for the weather we had tfs Jax ❤x
Those pastries sound lovely! It’s gotten a bit warmer again this week. I kind of just wish it would hurry up and get cold 🤣 xx
Such great meal ideas, stroganoff will now feature in our meals of the week thanks to you Claire 😁 xx
Thanks! Ooh enjoy it, definitely one of my favourites! Xx

Have a great week xx
Wow that sounds like a fantastic menu! Haha 😂 that soup has gotta happen! Xx
We don’t eat sausage or burgers as they are processed xxx
Ah burgers I can make myself but I think there would be riots if I banned sausages in my house 😂 xx
Have you ever made zucchini aka courgette bread? It’s delicious and tons of. Recipes on the web
I have yes, it’s delicious! Courgette in baking is always a win xx
Have you tried fermented zucchini/marrow? It's delicious.
I haven’t but I love fermented foods so I should give it a go! Xx
Allergic to mushrooms
We are having a egg curry tonight xxx
Sounds lovely! Xx
Is your husband a doctor in a surgery xxxx
No he’s a specialist radiographer 😊 xx
