Theres no way someone can read the lyrics to this song for the first time and go "Oh ya I know EXACTLY what this song is about." Some of SOAD's lyrics are so out there for me.
"Meeting John at Dale's Jr...." is about when drummer John met David Hasselhoff at a liquor store in LA. Most of the verse is about Knight Rider, and the solo is Knight Rider's theme.
12:08 Even if the Drums sound simple for this song, its actually pretty hard to play. John is an impressive drummer who has definitely practiced Paradiddles for infinite times. I think its just an ok System of a Down song. Its a great song, but for System of a Down I think its just ok. I heard it was originally a warm up song for them or something, which I can definitely see in this song but i don't know how true it is. Its a great song for them to play live though, the crowd always sings with them. Great score but I would personally prefer Sugar over this because it just has more life to it.
Also drumming that hard requires a lot more skill than just the rhythms themselves. He's not just hitting, he always got a pretty hard intensity ground level. Other good examples are the RATM drummer (always very laid back as well, much practice was required) or the Soundgarden guy.
@@THEDavidHeretic Yeah I watched it on there, what I meant was you gave Sugar a lower score than IEAIAIO, while I personally would give Sugar a higher score than IEAIAIO, because it has more character and life.
Man, David - I love the record this is from (Steal This Album). I'd be thrilled if you did *"A.D.D. (American Dream Denial)".* I get the vibe you'll like it as much as I do, if you liked this.
There are a few words out could mean but those vowels are "idealization" without consonants.. also the bridge if you only take the first let of each word can make a statement i don't recall right now what that is though
I remember stealing this album. Loved this track. Pretty sure the album was of leaked unreleased songs/b-sides. They figured people liked the leaks, so they just mixed and mastered it into an album call "Steal This Album". Some real good tunes. Walmart made me pay for it, which was false advertising.
I can't believe you didn't pick up on the Knight Rider theme! I was expecting you to crack up at that. I know I did the first time I listened to this...
This song is a banger man; listen again. This is Serjs time to shine. Basic heavy riffs and let Serj go. The fast rap, and them friggin vowels in a goosebump chant. pretty powerful. blew my mind. the guitar solo was a satirical thing since it sounds so goofy. Its the night rider theme. long story. but anyway this is 9.6 for me. 😊
I-E-A-I-A-I-O is also Idealization without the consonants.
Also illegalization, liberalization, internalization and ‘illegal migration’
"Question!" Has to be the next song you react to. Vocals are great there too
ABSOLUTELY AGREE!!!
Most underrated System song. So good
AGREEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

One of the few bands that has a FLAWLESS discography
The beat during the middle part was basically the knight rider theme
Song has the most bonkers heavy inspiring chorus!
Steal This Album has so many great songs.
Mr. Jack would make for a great reaction, if you haven't done so already.
9:00 Lol, did not expect David to be into Borderlands :D
LOVE the whole series, but BL2 is my favorite.

My reaction to Sugar was blocked, so I had to put it up on the Patreon page.

i think they just made this song for fans to sing on concerts its such a great vibe for the audience
That song among other by them hides a lot of subliminal messages in the lyrics.
The vowels means IdEAlIsAtIOn at first.
I have just always liked their range their sound, have always loved them

Mind Delusions Acquainted = MeDiA
Plutonium Wedding Ring = PoWeR
Something like that...
"MeDiA Back-End PoWeR IS BullShit Opposing Force, For Benefit Of ProPagandA" is the popular consensus.
Re. that little guitar solo/ breakdown; I always thought 'That's the Knight Rider theme - can they do that?'
7:33. yes it is
its on purpose. The verse right before is about meeting David Hasslehoff. No BS.
SOAD songs with great harmonies (best songs): Mr Jack, Question, Dreaming, Hypnotize
Isn't the short solo a bit like a 80'/90' series theme? I feel like it's knight rider ?!
That's because it is... also michael knight was a former cop who got shot undercover and went to work for the foundation after he recovered
Isn't P considered a plosive?
Old McDonald had a farm I E A I A I O
dang, my (then) childhood will never be the same 😂

Great song!
On of my favs from System. Amazing live!
Another great song by soad. Hearing this live is amazing.
as a long time borderlands player; i appreciate you!
he didn't noticed that the solo is the knight rider theme xD

Question it an awesome song u should check out also spiders and Mr Jack
One thing’s for sure. No one is going to try to remake this song. Even with the lyrics on the screen I can’t keep up. lol.
Voice of Baceprot did a nice cover, and I give them credit for doing it because their first language is not English
Do they break into the Knight Rider theme song for the solo?
Yes, yes they did.
Do you hear the Knight rider theme there or am i mistaken i have heard it used in lots of rap songs but never in rock
Was so sure we were getting babymetal following the Kari band. Can’t complain about system though I suppose lol
Knight ridership in the middle of the song
My favorite SOAD song
His delivery vocally towards the ends actually reminds me none other than... Tenacious D
Good
Almost like a machine gun… machine gun. Machine Gun Kelly covering Aerials by SoaD. It’s so bad.
I was so ready for you to hate this, instead you seem kinda mad you liked it. 😂 Did you give this the same score as Chop Suey though???
I'm not sure.
He has the ability to win an argument with a woman, without using anything else but his vocabolarity 😂😂😂😂😂😂
No offends mrs,H 🤗🤗🤗🇩🇰
IEAIAIO are the vowels in the word Idealisation :)
666 views nice
Nnnnnnnnnnnnice.
One of the 3 songs I like by this band. This one, Sugar and Spiders. Other than that they're annoying to me.
