When the artist used their voice instead of machines
Have not heard this song in so many years!
Was in high school in 1972. Probably heard it everyday then. This feels wonderful❤️
Takes me back to my youth, probably grade school. Definitely the 70's and a few 60's and early 80's songs mixed in. Each decade has it's special hits but by far the 70's groups nailed it over and over. Thanks for the great reaction!
It was a great time to be young!
Climax is actually the group they sang Precious and Few. I was actually a little kid in the early 70s.
Danced to this in 1973/74. My 7th grade year. What a wonderful year for me.
Tasha, I knew you'd like this one.
In that same album is another song I liked very much called "Life and Breath". I believe it was on the opposite side of "Precious and Few" on the 45rpm.
The 70s had the greatest music ever !
Oh that’s not fair! 60’s-70’s both had great love songs!
Not true. Now... if you couldn't find your way back home, THAT just wouldn't be fair...
Between the 70's and 90's music, the 70's definitely has the better love songs.
Sonny Geraci was a great Singer. He also sang lead on Time Won’t Let Me by The Outsiders of Cleveland, Ohio.
Nice song. Haven’t heard this in years. Thanks Tasha! 😊
1970s has the best love songs! Magic Man by Heart is a prime example!
Magic Man wasn’t a love song.
@@studiosinger I disagree.
I would say that just by virtue of the fact that the guy being sung about is "magic", it couldn't be about love. It's a song about him magically becoming mesmerizing to her, she's basically in a trance-like state. If nothing else, it's about infatuation as a result of being under a spell. Love doesn't seem to be a component of what's going on there...😁
The song is Precious and Few by the group Climax.
Sweet song. Thanks Tasha
Had my first "love" in the 70s...this song and the song
" He's so fine" I would sing and dream of him
Precious and few is the song. The name of the band is Climax, which is a different group than the Climax Blues Band - very different styles.
Thank you I was gonna make that correction but you did it first😊
Don't forget there was another group call Klymaxx and one of their hits was "I miss you".
The best songs are from the 50s and 60s. ❤❤❤❤
The 1970s had the best love songs as well as many from the 60s.
I'd have to agree with you and Beth.
Beautiful music from my early teen years thanks for making this Texas cowboys day darlin 🙂
Great song! Brings back many memories.
"Precious and Few" is the song title, Climax is the band.💯😂🤣❤️✌️
The 90s were virtually bankrupt of love songs, very few, even fewer good ones...and one group, Sade, had about half of them!
The 60's had great love songs ... just to name one group - the Righteous Brothers - and there were many others.
I'd like to recommend Paul McCarthy and Wings; My Love. Right up there with Precious and Few. And Gordon Lightfoot's If You Could Read My Mind.
Come on now, you know the 70's music was the best for all things music.
Yeah but so are the 50 s 60s too
It’s a shame David Cassidy turned down singing this song. He would have done even better.
Just called climax
Climax was the group name
Good job! How about reviewing “Me And Mrs. Jones” Billy Paul 1972 for us?
My fault the name got put in. Here wrong I think I was on some pain meds trying to pass a kidney stone so I have no idea what I put. So. Give. Tasha a break. And I’d be glad to battle 60s 70s and even some 8os had better live songs than the 90s by far. Lol😅😂😂
Check out If by Bread.
In my opinion, I believe the 60s provided better love songs than the 70s, the 70s were good but especially in the early 60s before the British Invasion. The 60s gave us a new sound using the combination of strings and horns and introduced us to blue eyed soul artists such as the Righteous Brothers and The Shades of Blue. The Delfonics in the late 60s pretty much solidified why I think 60s love songs are better than the 70s. The British Invasion would add their own flavor to the genre too - setting up the next great love songs of the 70s and adding the disco vibe to love songs.
Far as Climax, their lead singer was named Sonny Geraci from Cleveland Ohio. Prior to moving to California to start up Climax, Geraci was lead singer to the group called The Outsiders in the mid 60s. They had a huge hit with the song 'Time Won't Let Me'. 'Precious and Few' would be Climax's biggest hit.
Hi Tasha the song is good. The fashion made me gasp.
Oh maybe the Best decades of love song is the 70s & 80s 90s were just late rejoinders....
This is not Climax Blues Band. Climax, blues band is much heavier rock in there from the UK. The song is called precious and few not climax. Climax is the band that played this and they are an American band. Climax blues band is so different from this band climax. Huge error because these bands are worlds apart and the way they play. Climax plays bubble gum music while climax, blues band plays, hard, rock, blues
Band is climax the song is precious and few is the song.just saying!lol
70's were far better...bands like BREAD and THE CARPENTERS along with virtually everything written by Jimmy Webb trump the 90's love songs by leaps and bounds!
Precious and few is the name of the song, Climax is the name of the band. If you're doing a "reaction" video to this song and band you should at least get the names right.
