that's what they do in the anime adaptations of persona games like in Persona 3 movie where they really showed Makoto Yuki and Ryoji's friendship like they hangout, go to part time jobs, attend club activities and more. Because that part of the story was when Makoto Yuki is wavering after the turn of many events, Shinjiro's death, Mitsuru's dad died when they thought they just finished the dark hour, it showed how Ryoji made Makoto Yuki feel better or find his way back to his teammates.

Eh, animation is still as meh as ever, but the dub really does breathe some much needed life into this show. Xander and Robbie sound great here. Also, I love how Ren and Goro's batting stances are opposite one another. Another hint at the opposite side/same coin thing they push in the game. Props for that.
^ the in-universe explanation is Akechi’s left handed. He shoots his gun left handed as well. But it also works in this case to represent the duality between them

i read bad things about the anime but the dub make it seem worth it, i think the persona games english dubs are usually better than the original, also its cool to see Joker having more personality outside of your choices, the P4 anime gave Yu so much characterization
I think its like how another person in the comments pointed out, it gives it a little bit more life. Maybe thats because most of us don't even speak Japanese, but I find it better with the dub and actually interested in watching it, even though its not the best.
I agree, the voices and the playful dialogue seems to give the characters a lot more personality compared to the Japanese dub. The japanese wasn't bad, but it felt like they were just reading from a script most of the time and being very literal.
persona series is the only japanese game that made me more comfortable hearing it in english...idk for persona 4 golden i know it japanese game in japanese town but the background song make it more matching with english dub for me at least.
U do know that the Japanese people themselves are the one who sent the pronunciation to them, right? The VA, Erika Harlacher have already tweet this before.
Even still it must have not been a very good one because if you hear the game and then this you'll hear the difference plus if you listen to the Japanese dub you'll hear the difference

Localisation teams are just trying to make it easier to understand the names for western audience, but imo they just end up confusing people sometimes

But man does the dub come through in this animation. dubs for the persona games and anime’s always make them much better than the Japanese ones, also helps my eyes as I can’t go back and forth in anime between subtitles and what’s going on
