lol, it was built on soil that was as bad as sand and they tried to build it straight ,but when they saw that it leaned they continued building it in the other angle hoping that it would straighten out when finished. That's why when you take a close look at it, it doesn't just lean to one side you can actually see it straighten out towards the top because of multiple angles....pretty fascinating. Gaileo was on top of it when he tested the law of gravity.
this tower is a nest for the most sophisticated thieves in the world. you'd get ropped in the blink of an eye without noticing at all. I dont know if this is part of the Italian culture or if thaz what they do for living but boy, italy is a scary place to visit. I'd never vacation there again.
@Paterson212 Italy did not "switch sides." in WWII. After Italy was defeated in September 1943, Mussolini went into hiding and was eventually hanged by Italian partisans. The new government, which was anti-fascist and supported by the Allies' cause.
