  • In this video, we'll be discussing a reference in Deadpool 2 that you may have missed. If you remember the scene where Cable and Deadpool engage in a gunfight, you probably noticed how Deadpool uses his swords to block the bullets fired by Cable. But did you know that this scene is actually a nod to X-Men Origins?
In X-Men Origins, there's a sequence where Wade Wilson, aka Deadpool, is in an elevator. When the doors open, you'll see the same moves that Deadpool uses to block Cable's bullets in the Deadpool 2 scene. Even the camera angles are the same!
But there's a twist. Deadpool's moves may have been the same, but he couldn't block all of Cable's bullets. The reason being that Cable's weapons are not your average guns. In fact, Deadpool himself remarks, "Your bullets are so fast."
Moreover, in the comics, Cable is known for using his two fingers to trigger weapons and is considered one of the fastest triggers in the X-Men universe. This explains why even Deadpool couldn't block all of Cable's bullets.
So, there you have it! The next time you watch Deadpool 2, keep an eye out for this awesome reference
