    Glad you took time for yourself and live your life. You work hard and deserve those few moments to enjoy your passions outside the OR. Grateful for your videos and hope you can continue at your own pace. I have a periop assistant (non CST position) interview coming up Wed here in PA and am a bit nervous because it would be a great first step into the field before I enter school to get certified.

    I started watching you when you first started your channel at the start of my schooling. Now a CST, trying to get the career started and stuations didn't allow me to keep giving in patreon. But I been here since then and we (subscribers) will continue to be here because your videos and you are awesome! It is okay to take a hiatus. Stay healthy!

    Youre not obligated to make videos. All these people will stick with you if they want you. You make amazing context. Id wish i had found you sooner.     Brilliant!
    I think burnout is a major danger in healthcare. And one we don't talk about often enough either... there is a recognition of some of the sacrifices healthcare workers make, especially in terms of lifestyle, even some of the physical dangers especially in frontline jobs.. but something we don't deal with enough is compassion fatigue and a lot of it stems from losing the personal-work life balance and overlooking self-care
    And it can be so easy to do.

    @SurgicalTechTips Question: I was done with school since 2005 and have never been able to get a job as a Surgical Tech but Love the OR. Since it's been over 13years should I go back to school or just take the State Test?

    Can you please talk about it give tips on the CST exam?? I take mine in 3 months and I am so scared and nervous I feel like there is a lot I still do not know an I need tips on how to study for it !

    Keep doing whatever you love outside of work and RUclips! Your confidence gained through those experiences will translate into your usual charisma on camera. Looking forward to those BIG videos! Maybe save them for the beginning of every other month? It will be something for us viewers to look forward to! Anyhow, do what ever you want to do. We will be here whenever you post.

    Congratulations on the national conference invitation. You'll do just fine.
    Thank you for all of your videos. They're a great source of information and very inspirational. Don't feel the need to produce them on a schedule. You have given every aspiring CST a wealth of information and your great attitude is something everyone should strive for. Lastly, never neglect your workouts. They're good for your brain, body and mental health. Be kind to yourself!

      Yes and no. Where I worked it could be 3 RNs scheduled in a room for the day. We had to scrub too. We all worked together as a team.

    Knowing you are experience w so many smells in the OR Do you know any health conditions that have a foul odor and can be smell from a far? for example dead rat or feces.?? Or when people start to cough alot around someone because of a smell. Please and thanks. Would gladly apreciate it.

      Ana Lopez Feces, gangrene, and patients with poor hygiene are some of the bad smells you will encounter in surgery. Wintergreen oil is your friend! Dip a cotton-tipped applicator in a bottle and dab a little onto the outside of your mask, and it will “mask” the bad smells.

      JDMNicanGirlSwagg depends if you do algebra or contemporary math class for your associates it’s rlly a pain in the ass more than anything the only other math is pharmacology
