Pavement and Leopard Lounge are Austin outposts of Houston vintage shops from the Montrose neighborhood. Houston’s thrift scene is vast and warrants its own exploration. Austin has amazing home grown vintage as well. Garment. Howdy’s/Long Goodbye. Revival. Room Service and Top Drawer for both clothes and decor and furniture. Prisma. Treasure City. Just to name a few.
^ this. I love Prototype for higher end garments and Blue Velvet for affordable styles. But there are also secrets to be uncovered at spots like St. Vincent du Paul and Thrift Land.
The best Austin thrifts are still a secret. Most of the "vintage" stores in Austin now are overpriced and full of garments that weren't cool or quality even in their own era. For better or worse most of the folks that live there now wouldn't know real vintage anyway or care. The kind of people who think the price tag is a measure of quality. Austin is a very different place now. Glad I left before it was gentrified.
I’d love to see a compilation video of people walking by as Beth is trying on clothes! Some of the people in the background are hilarious! Love Beth!!! ❤️ I found her channel while recovering from stem cell injections in my knees! Thankyou for all the fun!🎉
Sunday is my birthday, so today I treated myself to a thrift spree (only 100$, but still a full bag of great “made in Italy” finds). And I layered them together today (in your honor), and I’ll have you know that the compliments were many. I usually dress down to deflect attention, but this was fun. Thank you, Beth. I’m fairly new to your channel, but do you have a Poshmark or other resale account somewhere, so when you clean out your closet, your fans can buy the things you’re tired of? You could also specifically pick up some pieces for sale since you travel around and fans would have no access to those items otherwise.
With your slim built you are able to slide into most everything and that is usually why some items are left on the thrift racks by me, because they don't fit my body parts. The apron type top you have on (you trusting that tape) is such a great out in the sun look and then it never fails for you that there an mix print moment used to pair the skirt. MY favorite item is the green skirt I like the drop waist and the flow of the fabric and trims on bottom portion, and also those colorful soft blazers. A thrift store by the pound? I would lose my mind and probably be put out the store because I would still be there when it closing time. Thanks for sharing and blessings to you and all in the days to come.
So i went to the goodwill bins store yesterday (its the first local bins outlet here in bay county).... I found the most awesomeness vintage 80s chic barrel legged pleated front jeans that fit me like a glove.... Thought youd have been proud😂😂😂😂
That spider corset is everything. When I find things like that I always snag them, and if I don’t wear it as an every day I pop it in my costume bin. Ya never know when you might go to a dress up party🖤
Hope you had fun in our fair city....There are so many great thrift stores - you'll have to visit again to take in some more! And don't forget the GW Outlets - they are awesome
The next time you are in Texas, lower Westheimer in the Montrose neighborhood of Houston is a must stop for vintage clothing including Pavement and Leopard Lounge.

I was so confused for a second, like that sound like GD 😂 thinking it was my mind playing tricks. And not even like the most popular song, so Definitely a vip in there.
Im am very into boho right now but I am so not able to make it work. Wouldn't it be a nice serie? "My take on boho/grunch/fifties/romantic style..." what ever....?

I love Austin but have not visited since January 2020. My daughter and grands lives there.
I would love to see how you would style some overalls ?
Aw - why did you leave the "sailor" skirt - the length and fullness was v attractive?
You pulled that diy Olympic shirt the moment GD That XX came on… that was either a sign from the thrift gods or there’s a VIP working in that store 👑
I was so confused for a second, like that sound like GD 😂 thinking it was my mind playing tricks. And not even like the most popular song, so Definitely a vip in there.
Very impressive!!
Love all of the stores how were the prices in Austin?
I like the striped polo top on you. 👍
We need an updated video about your daily workout routine. Those abs!!
Are prices reasonable there in hipster Austin?
Im am very into boho right now but I am so not able to make it work. Wouldn't it be a nice serie? "My take on boho/grunch/fifties/romantic style..." what ever....?
Does Madi still work with you? Does she have her own channel? I miss you two together!
Seems that Flamingos is permanently closed.
