    Great, practical advice here. Thanks. I set a timer today for 30 minutes to work on my novel, followed by a reward pork pie. It worked!

      Thanks! haha. I like to work for 30 minutes or so, then take a break for 10 minutes, and then continue again.

    Wow, you nailed it Cookie! Good stuff :) Procrastination is my biggest issue and I find it super difficult to fight it. I just realized after watching your video why that is. I just don't think that whatever I should be doing is worth it. But maybe I am fooling myself so I feel better about procrastinating? :) Awesome video, great info, great everything. Go Jason, Go!

      +Marilyn Yusuf Haha, That's very introspective of you. And I thought I think a lot.
      But yeah, you'll figure it out, it just takes time. It's probably more about eliminating pointless things rather than to not procrastinate, because if you think about it, what's there to say that doing Activity B while procrastinating on Activity A wouldn't be worth it? It might even be more worth it. So as long as it's not something like watching a pointless TV show. That's what I think

      Well Cookie, my problem is more like is it worth it to film a video that will take me many hours or is it actually much better to cook something or watch your videos for example. I know I should be doing things but I feel like nothing is worth it, help me :D

    • @LearningREADefined
      @LearningREADefined  8 лет назад

      +Marilyn Yusuf Well I guess you 'll have to decide and weigh your different options or opportunity costs :p But yeah, I think you should really do a "Vegan Eats Meat for the First Time" video, it'll go viral. I was watching Indians Eat Beef earlier, the dude is hilarious!! ruclips.net/video/TtdnMghZT_Q/видео.html

    These are very good points, however, where you fall short is the fact that these are tips to boost your motivation. Sure, I feel great once I complete a task, however, motivation can only go so far. It takes discipline to truly get things done and actually beat procrastination.
    If you are not disciplined enough, you will never have accomplished your goals. You need to just do it, however, these are AMAZING tips in order to beat procrastination. If you implemented this for a while, overtime you will surely beat it! This is still a great video, :)

      Hey Damian!! Yeah, good points.
      Yeah, I remember someone once said "motivation is a daily routine" because it dies down after a while. It does take discipline to truly get things done.
      I'm glad you enjoyed it though!!! :)

    A great video... Sir, please research and make videos on "How to study & MEMORIZE formuale in Technical fields such as engg,medical,etc" This is a most needed video as majority of youtubers are students (Hence hopefully you will get ample amount of views,subscribers,likes and broadcasting...) & No other channel has touched this topic of memory in DEPTH...
    It will be much better if you could make a whole series of videos on MEMORIZATION

    my problem is that I have so much to do that I know once I finish it I won't have time for my reward.. I need every second pf my time to finish my homework. so I'm trying to watch youtube for as long as I can before I have to sit down and do all my assignments for the next three days.

    • @LearningREADefined
      @LearningREADefined  7 лет назад

      Ehh, I mean, rewards can be anything. You could even do your assignments and then watch youtube AS the reward, but if you're watching these kinds of videos, you'd probably learn more from these than assignments, but that's a good thing, you can reward yourself with learning :p

    I like your videos in general, but you're copying FightMediocrity.
    I'm only watching these videos, because he's not doing much.
    But as soon as he does posts again I will stop watching your videos.
    Why try to copy someone else?
    The concept is good, but try a path that is a little different.
    I mean at least use different software and build up the videos differently, too..
    Check out the Nerdwriter. He distances himself through his graphics and the design.
    Try things out. Do 1000 experiments, but don't try to create a copy of an already successful channel.
    Maybe collaborate with FM.
    Just an idea.

    • @LearningREADefined
      @LearningREADefined  8 лет назад

      +Roberto Maddaloni Hey Roberto, Thanks? I guess haha, not sure if that was a compliment or not: "I like your videos but I will stop watching them when FightMediocrity posts more". Haha, but I see that you care and want me to succeed and come up with something unique!
      I'm getting there :) I learned a few new animation types I'll incorporate soon into my videos, just practising a bit more first. But yeah, I know what you're saying, actually, I was thinking the same thing, and this video is actually my first step, a video that's not a "book review".
      But yeah, I'm glad you like my videos, hopefully they'll get better and you'll still watch them in the future haha! -jason
