    Staglieno, Genoa
Perhaps the most famous monument cemetery in Italy, Giuseppe Mazzini, one of the fathers of Italian unity, and the Genoese-born composer-singer Fabrizio de André are also buried here. The tombstones mostly praise the handiwork of local artists. The beauty of the cemetery captivates many people, Hemingway directly declared Staglieno as one of the most beautiful places in the world.
