Home Depot dudes had a candlelight vigil and released some paper hot air balloons into the skies the night Foresty left. Sharing stories today about how much wood he had them cut lol
the goats: "shhhhhhh.... don't move. We don't want to scare the biped. But watch it in the scree, I am telling you, priceless... "
The positivity with FF, his content, and his fans are unmatched.
This van is going to really be great for your adventures Man! Way to Go !🤜🏾 Don't stop.
"I never design stuff on purpose"
A man after my own heart.
"Alright, tool review time"
"So all my tools suck, would not recommend"
That was so funny
Lol 😆 the drill and jigsaw are good. I'm just not using the drill for its intended purpose.
Exactly what I was thinking. I guess they're not paying Forest to review their products.
@@forestyforest Andy over at @it's a farming life for me got sponsor deal from Milwaukee, farming guys love em.
@@forestyforest makes for a half decent hammer when in a pinch though
The Home Depot guys wondering where the homeless guy in the van went. 😂. So excited to see adventures again.
Hopefully they are subscribers!
Dude.. house less... his van is his home.
@@b1tsd sure, but it's unlikely the employees at home depot think that way ♡
He's not homeless, he's home free 😄🙏
...hope he had a loyalty card
Dude as a drone pilot i've watched your progress with your drone footage. And its absolutely insane man! You went from beginner to cinematic shots while driving! Great add-on to the show
I sat there trying to figure out why I like the foresty forest show... and I came up with so many answers it was amazing. It's a how to Home Building, outdoor adventure, cooking show and minimalist extravaganza. It is like no other show I've ever watched.
I don’t know if it is it the topic nature or is it because he is Canadian but Foresty has the best Community... Never seen anything negative or salty in the comment section :)
Everybody just rooting for Foresty!
Love you all!
The Crockpot has a travelling “cooking nest”. It also needs a “chin strap” to stop its rattling lid.
This video had everything..
..building, cooking, camp fires , mountain climbing, indifferent Big Horn sheep and of course ..frozen beer!
Never a dull moment ..great video and take care 🇨🇦 🍺
That's what I said! Greatest hits!
You can use gum bands to hold it down with.
@@cindythecatwoman1601 Curious where are you from? I've never heard a rubber band being called a gum band and I had to google it to know what you meant!
@@fireworkmuffins elastic bands in the uk. Scotch syntax in Peru.
bungee cords, my dude.
Should be a requirement for any traveling.
His climb would not be as long if he didnt keep repositioning the camera- but i got to the top too and never left my chair ! Thanks buddy.
I'll be honest and say what we're all thinking: We're jealous and want to be you!!! Mad building and cooking skills and live in a beautiful country with tons of great camping.
Ah to just never show up to the office ... !!!
We appreciate your getting a bigger van purely to better accommodate the croc-pot.
Ol’ Croccy was tickled pink and gave Foresty a perfect first meal. Need some chains for Vanny’s tires !!!
Yes. That was nice of him
Haha! His priorities are definitely in proper order 😂
Foresty Foresty does the most casual, nonchalant yet straightforward product reviews on RUclips.
On the other end of the spectrum check out project farm on RUclips...best reviews on RUclips
How a Canadian does reviews
I appreciate his honest appraisal of Milwaukee tools. Many would have us believe that Milwaukee tool products somehow walk on water and are perhaps far above their own competition, when in fact some of it is on no better par than Harbor Freight, who seems to be constantly raising the bar and up-ing the cordless tool game.
Foresty, i gotta say, thank you. Bc of my anxiety and epilepsy, i really dont have many friends other than my lovely wife and family. So i guess, watching and listening to you helps. Thanks man.
Man, I have straight up watched every single one of your videos, probably twice or three times all the way through. Ive said it before,, and ill say it again, im absolutely in love with your content. I would probably watch you watch paint dry, and I'm sure that stands for all of us here. We just love who you are!! Keep killin it homie. So proud to see how far you've come 🙏🏼
Buddy climbed the mountain twice with all those camera shots
@David I own a civic and yes it does have winter tires would have to she fucking pissed down a meter of snow last night and is still giving er
First cooked meal..... “CHANNED KILLY” 😂
Thought that is what I heard
The comment I was looking for.
I was getting gas yesterday in Barstow... And i was listening to you on audio so when I got out to get gas I was singing the intro jingle and someone else recognized it!! We laughed and found out we're both subscribers..
Watching from Albuquerque, am I the only one that caught the “alright Jesse, let’s cook” reference?
Caught it too! Loved it!
I caught it too! But am I the only one who caught channed cilli?!?
got that!!!! bad boys
What’s that reference from?
I missed it till you mentioned it.
Sorry, I'm a bad Santa Fean, though I take my meth with "Christmas."
(That was a joke nsa/yt overlords, don't do meth kids)
(Deaddrops; it's a Breaking Bad reference)
I work 50 hours a week at a job I despise. Meanwhile, this king is living it up and eating ribs in a van. Love your videos man. One day, I’ll get out of corporate America and join the van life.
Do what I'm doing. I'm plotting a 4-month course in figuring out how to buy a van, then the 'non-existent' skills to build the essentials needed, to quit my job and move about mid-country to be closer to my son and grandson on retirement. YTube videos, God bless them, have been giving me hope I can do it.
I want a Ram Promaster 1500 or whatever those are van... they look roomy
@@museluvr you can do it!
Understand stand you Paul!! 70 hrs a week here , jealous of this guy
Do it... grin
“I’m out of shape” and climbs something like 9,000ft. I go on a 3 mile hike and am huffing and puffing.
I go up the stairs....huffing and puffing
That's very concerning. At hiking pace you should have enough breath to hold a conversation easily.
Climbing higher than the sheep impressed me.
@@zarb88 were they sheep dude? I was wondering what they were
@@ghostrider7688 no expert me that was a guess
The drone shots are spectacular! Breath taking
What a good mix of comfort food, home renovation, car suspense, tool review, animals, fat biking a
nd beer. + the chill music!!!
I’ve been watching for a little over a year now and you’ve never ceased to entertain.
couldnt agree more!, truer words were never spoken!
He should try to summit that Home Depot, just for good measure.
🤣🤣🤣
lol that would be a great move. all the big box stores.
Best comment!
😂😂😂😂
What’s not to love about this video???!!! Van build. Ribs. Fat biking. Mountain climbing. AND...a tool review. Love it.
I guess I'll say stunning!...but that doesn't describe how awesome I feel this is and what you're doing! Remember...I'm that 66 y.o. lady who watches your channel. So so very cool!
"They are not even slightly concerned I'm here" .... falls down. Maybe thats why :)
LOL. They're thinking to themselves 'what the hell is this dumb sob doing up here.'
Somehow, “lazy” would not be a word I would use to describe Foresty Forest.
Crystal Clark, your comment is very positive and deserves a heart from Foresty Forest! 👍 I can only dream of doing this.....but it inspires me to do a little...I think I'll sweep and wash the floor 🧹. Thanks for getting me going!
Not in a million years!!
yea when he say he'll be "lazy" and use a premade barbeque sauce.. i had to reflect on myself lol
Thinking back to when I was Foresty Forest's current age, I can understand and sympathize with feeling lazy if you are not completely wearing yourself out.
I grew up in Calgary, hospitality is awsome there. awsome day to hike the mountains🤍
The van was screaming SHOW ME MORE SNOW ❄ !!
THIS IS MY FAVOURITE RUclips CHANNEL. forestry Forest is the fuckin man
Oh don't worry, the rams were just surprised to actually see the RUclips celebrity they've heard so much about. LOL!
What an awesome place to end the video!
Love that you watch Forest too! That is way too awesome mate! Hope you're having a great day.
GENERAL PSIVEWRI, you are a bold one!
I don't like that Kira girl.
Obviously the mountain goats consider Forestry Forest one of their own!
That comment about seeing a different type of stars got me cracking up. Your sense of humour, just squeak the smart remarks in there 🤣🤣
Only the people that’s paying attention could get his jokes. I love it when he sneak those jokes in.
"Doesn't suck in a good way" lol
“Foresty Forest, he lives in our hearts...”
Congratulations, Good Luck, Thank you
When the crockpot was plugged in and fitted perfectly 🎊🎉🎊🎉🎊🎉🎊🎉
Easy Asian BBQ rib glaze (from my dad). Equal parts Hoisin Sauce & honey (1 cup each should be enough for 1 rack). Some chilli pepper flakes (pizza condiments), some diced garlic and ginger (fresh grated is best but powder is fine). Thats it! Mix well and coat the ribs before finishing over the fire.
I see the van doors open and hear my mother in my head yelling at me. "Shut the doors. You can't heat the outside."
Lol 🤣
Driving a van and controlling a drone at the same time is pure talent .
As is scrambling up a mountain holding a selfie stick!!
Except when it’s on auto? 😉
@@jonny_drury You still have to compose the shot, plan the waypoints (Altitude, heading airspeed, etc) , and drive correctly. FF does and outstanding job. I've seen dozens of van life channels that use a drone. Nobody else does it as well as FF does.
@@briancourtice2858
Yeah great production quality
@@briancourtice2858 There are plenty of drones with "Follow me" auto settings, just tell it where it should be and how high and it'll do the rest.
Great shots nonetheless.
F.F. : feels shame when he cooks canned chili
Me : feels like Gordon Ramsey when I cook canned chili
(Amazing drone shots as usual.)
Or ‘channed killy’ which is what he called it this time.
I live in south Louisiana where it’s unbelievably FLAT as far as the eye can see. That last shot just has me in awe. Unreal.
Home Depot will miss their best customer.
Finding a fossil makes your day. Seeing you posted a new video and you brought out your crock pot makes my day
You got the life man. You're living a lot of people's dream my friend.
NOW I understand why Canadian winter van life is appealing--that backcountry summit was stunningly beautiful.
It’s all coming along nicely. My customers are getting concerned about me as I keep singing “forestry forest, he lives in a van” so catchy. Good hike there, you must be running out of summits by now 😂😊👍👍
“It’s good to be back”
Your damn right it is bud!
Could feel it when he said it.
I absolutely love your foresty forest intro...i wait for it every time. I get caught singing it from time to time to reset my brain. It's probably worth a million dollars if you were to try and have it produced.
It's funny how charming that tiny thing is! I sometimes talk to my dogs under my breath at work, because they give me so much consolation and joy. I could see myself singing this song at work too, when I need it!
Forestry Forest leveled up! New territories have been unlocked!
If we could have seen your face when you shifted into 4 wheel drive I think we would have have seen a massive smile. Can't wait to see all the places you'll get to with the 4wd home.
I know I thought the same thing.
I was smiling too.
Anyone else get exited when this releases new content?
It is pretty dang cool this is all working out, everything about this channel is great FF, we love it! My wife is not impressed with anything I do these days thanks to you.
I never thought I would be so invested in a youtuber ever in my life but here I am
i'm here wondering how the f, he pulled of drone shots while driving.....
i dont get it
Foresty climbs mountain, while holding selfie stick in one hand and sporting a genuine grin. Meanwhile, his audience is feeling a little dizzy sitting at the kitchen table.
Am scared watching him climbing and holding a selfie stick
I love how the crock pot has it's own little designated area 😭 yay glad that you are back out in nature Foresty!
Omg we cooked your ribs today but with onion powder and I swear you’re the best cook ever. We did it just like you in the slow cooker and then on the pit! Thanks for sharing! Ps we’re from south Louisiana! So you’re videos are reaching way down here 💜
Glad you liked them! They turn out amazingly good like that!
@@forestyforest I can’t wait to try what ever else you cook! I love your videos!
Those mountain goats are like “who the hell is this up here?”
The third one to the left looked rather shocked.
i sing this goddamned theme song every day now.
Me too
I cannot believe how much I’ve missed your hikes and scrambles. I have thoroughly enjoyed watching you build out the new van, but it’s just so refreshing sharing the amazing views out in the mountains. Not going to lie, but it brought a tear to my eyes seeing you “home”
Yeah I dunno maybe it's lockdown or because I've barely done any hiking this year but I get tearful watching his videos too 😅
I think you might be the only youtuber that I look forward to seeing weekly videos from. I’m not a van dweller, although I spent many months on tour living in a van very similar to this. I yearn for this lifestyle. You are someone I very much look up to Foresty! Thanks for all the amazing content. A true inspiration
Your climbs scare the crap out of me, but you always manage to leave me smiling. Thanks for that!
Clearly the slow cooker helped get the van unstuck
I was smiling so hard you would have thought it was MY van! Then the classic 4wd stuck trick! Then the sheep enjoying your rock sliding antics! And finally...wait for it...the beer is FROZEN! Thanks for sharing the Foresty Forest world with us!
FF, watching your breath fog the air makes me wonder how cold it is in your van. I had to put my hoodie on. Lol. I got cold just watching you. Glad to see you hiking again.
The “all right Jesse, let’s cook” before grilling those ribs was top notch
I've never tried Channed Killy before, what is that exactly? LOL love u foresty
Lmfao I was hopping I wasn’t there only one that heard that
God I've missed those amazing drone shots, amazing nature and last buy not least, a rib slow cook!
It's great that Forresty can just laugh at getting stuck in the snow!
Did anyone else catch "channed killi" instead of "canned chilli"?? Lol
I came here to say that. 😂😂
I had to rewind thinking "did I hear that right?!?"
Yup haha
"Did I design it that way? Haha". Love this. 4x4 light - shit just got real.
Really makes me reflect on my diet and cooking efforts when I have a full kitchen and refrigerator and yet forestry forest who lives in a van both eats healthier and prepares better quality and probably better tasting food
Couldn't have said it better myself! 😅.
1: The new van is awesome!
2: I can't believe you fit all that stuff in the old van.
3: Enjoyed following the build but good to see you in the back country again.
4: The crockpot returns.....'nuff said!!
I love that the crockpot has her special spot !! Those ribs look so moist, tender and tasty !!!
That summit is exactly 10 meters above the highest peak in Germany. Not a bad finish for a vanlifer's handcrafting / tool review / cooking video.
What an obscure fact. Who cares about the height of a mountain in Germany?
@@trailerparksupervisor7046 a German
@@stephaniebeaton3939 probably not most Germans. Only the ones with a particular interest in the heights of mountains in their country and how they compare to the heights of mountains in Canada.
@@trailerparksupervisor7046 I forgot to mention that I'm from Germany. To see how Foresty "easily" climbs a mountain higher than our highest peak impressed me. But in general the answer to the question "who cares about..." is that everyone cares who is interested in facts about the world we live in, and you would be surprised to know how many we are.
@@mranonymous8815 facts about the world certainly can be interesting sir, but the one you choose to share with the audience is so obscure that it would hold very little interest to all but the smallest cohort of German/Canadian mountain height enthusiasts.
Locking diffs would be a pretty sweet solution to that "getting stuck" issue. Have that on my truck front and rear and it's a game changer. Love the vids.
Even just locking rear with open front is still a huge improvement.
Is it possible to do the front on a Quigley transfer case and cv joints?
@@forestyforest Should be the same as whatever 3/4 ton (2500) Chevy truck they used as the basis of the front-end conversion. I'm going to guess it was the 9.25" but you'll have to look or contact Quigley to be sure. Any good drivetrain shop could do the swap for you pretty quickly, parts aren't cheap though. Your transfer case won't know a difference; if you get a mechanical locker instead of a LSD it will drive a bit differently in 4wd.
I'd suggest a set of chains too though, you'll be far better served by chains and a good set of aggressive all-terrains than a ~$550 locking diff (part cost alone) plus labor to install it.
@@forestyforest The van most likely still has a G80 auto-locking diff in the rear (check the glove box for the G80 RPO code).
Two words....TIRE CHAINS....!
Then get her outfitted for some serious out back roads......Chrome is going to be sooooooo.....jealous.......gotta love that yellow button...4X4......!!!! Enjoy the van, going to be great!
As soon as that 4x4 light came on the happy tears started rolling! Lol This was a nice release to a few LONG weeks of anticipation ❤🙏 so happy for you!!
The slow cooker is on.
This is officially the first episode of the new season.
Society, be gone. Back to the real world.
Forest never dissapoints...
Hey Foresty, I'm sure people have already said or asked but see if Quigley or GM put a Limited-slip differential in the rear. It will help immensely with off-road travel. This episode is great! Keep on truckin.
Eventually haha! So much to do. It needs some bigger tires to fill out those wheel wells too. One thing at a time!
Just what I was thinking.
Lockers in the front and rear will make that thing unstoppable, I'd get a winch though just in case. No cell service out in those areas, I'd want all the help I can get.
Chains Foresty ,chains and weight in the rear . I had a Chevy C20 in up state New York , 300 lbs of sand tubes and chains applied and I could climb a tree ! Two wheel drive but if the snow floats the chassis, well you’re done .
At 0:59 PRIVATE PROPERTY sign clearly visible. Foresty Forest he lives wherever the hell he wants :)
A word of advice concerning Quigley vans: I drive a Ford Quigley for work and it is the roughest riding vehicle I have ever driven. It messes up my back every time I drive it. I sincerely hope your Quigley rides better than mine but if not an upgraded seat with independent suspension could literally save your back. Great job on the build! I've really enjoyed following you and look forward to more.
Glue stars are the most beautiful.
Dude I literally started watching your videos again yesterday and here you are lol.
You're here?! YES!

Love from Mississauga
A set of chains for off-pavement winter exploring would make a huge difference. Maybe you could rig up a compartment to store them under the van? This avoids the cost of more aggressive tires. Nice to see you back out in the wild!
It's a slippery slope, (hmm..should dig for a better metaphor.) Chains will just get you further into trouble. The guy making the track ahead of you probably has another 6" of clearance.
@@aboversite or chains wouldn't have let him stop possibly. He just needed more speed
What he actually needs is LSD/Posi axles
@@radcheckinski6300 cost of a lsd or posi vs chains??
Put the chains on the front and you can steer better and drive abit faster!
From Australia....1..I just love your countries landscape, stunning mountains and snow. 2...my mouth was watering watching you cook those ribs. 3....it's just wonderful to see you back out where you belong. And finally, you're camera/ drone work is stunning !!!
You have so much room in this van. So glad for you. Room to breathe finally. You are quite the chef. Out there in the middle of nowhere, I truly hope you have a 45 in your backpack for protection. It is always the smart move to have it and not need it, as apposed to the other alternative. Rock on Mr. Forest.
Idk how I ended up on this channel, I have absolutely no interest in living in a van and watch no other van lifers. When you post a video though I seem to be here watching and singing "Foresty Forest He lives in a van" the rest of the day 🤣
Sheep look at Forrest navigating slopes... “two legged amateur” say they. Lol
I think they said, no worries, it's just Foresty Forest climbing another summit...hahaa
Actually he kicked but and made it to the summit. He’s in great shape.
I’ve enjoyed the car park build era, curtains & fridge will have to wait!
Been watching this channel for a while. Especially the Van build series. Notice something when you got stuck in the snow. Your tires weren't spinning together. 1 front wheel and 1 back wheel were spinning. This could mean that you have open diff's in the front an back differentials. If you are going to be relying on the 4x4 system it would be best of you upgraded to true lock systems.
The other thing is check out weldtech designs (youtube channel and website). They have some improvements for the Quigley systems.
Man, putting a bit of counter top on hinge over the new "crock-pot holder 9000" and making it a permanent spot for using it safely while driving would be awsome!
Nothing like having a long drive rewarded by a slow-cooked, tender meal!
“One drill to rule them all”...YO DRILL, suit up...get er’ done eh?! Home Depot is gonna miss you. Slow-cook vibes coming in HOT. My life is now complete. That little cubbyhole hole for Crock...applause, applause, APPLAUSE!! Our (subscribers) lives are about to get better because your adventures are BACK. HOORAY! Wishing you safe adventures ahead!!
