One of the many things i ADORE about MYGO is their music. Particularly, Tomori's use of words / poetry in her songs. Almost all of Mygo's songs has a notable portion of Tomori speaking, rather than singing. And it's very intune with her character. Mygo as a band is pretty unique as well. Rather than finding a destination for these lost girls, the band simply aims to be lost together. Also I love the dynamic of the characters lol. If you haven't already, I recommend Silhouette dance, utaimashou narashimashou, kokoro. And their cover Non breath oblige cover. Nevertheless, great video!
BanG Dream! has been around for almost 10 years now and so far the franchise has 7 real-life bands they are Poppin'Party, Roselia, RAISE A SUILEN, Morfonica, MyGO!!!!!, Ave Mujica and Mugendai Mewtype the seiyuus who voice the characters are really skilled musicians and they are the ones who play their own instruments during live concerts unlike in the anime Bocchi the Rock where they don't even bother to hire seiyuus who are actual musicians that could play the instruments of the characters that they are voicing since it's story is just tailor-made to adapt the manga. BanG Dream! has been around since 2015 and the first ever band in the franchise is Poppin'Party they were formed in 2015 followed by Roselia in 2016 and RAISE A SUILEN was formed in 2017 around the same time when the 1st season of BanG Dream! aired. RAISE A SUILEN actually started as a backing band for Anime and game-only bands like Pastel Palettes, Afterglow, and Hello Happy World since the seiyuu for those Anime and Game only bands don't play the instruments of the characters that they are voicing that's why RAISE A SUILEN was formed as a backing band. RAISE A SUILEN was introduced in the 2nd season of BanG Dream! in 2019, Morfonica was formed in 2019 but they were introduced in February of 2020, MyGO!!!!! was formed in 2021 but they were just introduced on April 29 2022 and Ave Mujica was formed in 2022 but was just introduced in early 2023 and both MyGO!!!!! and Ave Mujica are in the same series called BanG Dream! It's MyGO!!!!! and Ave Mujica will have their series called BanG Dream! Ave Mujica which will air on January 2, 2025. The most recent real-life band that came out into the franchise is Mugendai Mewtype which is basically a Vtuber group and the very first band that was born out of Public Auditon which was held in 2022 and at first I didn't pay close attention to it since it was marketed as a VTuber group and I even read the qualifications that though and applicant can't play musical instruments it's okay as long as they can sing but the applicants that they ended up getting are those who can play musical instruments. The band was officially introduced on November 9, 2023, and they held their 1st LIVE last August and regular shows since then but as of now since Mugendai Mew Type is a VTube group their identities are not revealed yet kinda similar when MyGO!!!!! and Ave Mujica were introduced they usually dim the lights during live concerts and they only reveal their identities later on which will be the same case since Mugendai Mewtype has a real-life band their faces are seen by those who attended their 1st LIVE last August so it's inevitable and it's just a matter of time before their identities will be revealed.
Last October 12 and 13 at Ayala Malls TriNoma in Manila Philippines for the Bushiroad EXPO 2024, I was fortunate to meet one of the members of the real-life Japanese all-female rock band called MyGO!!!!! the band's rhythm guitarist and the seiyuu for Chihaya Anon from BanG Dream! It's MyGO!!!!! the lovely Tateishi Rin-chan in the autograph sessions at the event and the crazy part is the autograph sessions are limited to 30 people and are won via lottery kinda of like a gacha that you have to get a number from 1- 30, the fact that I've got a slot for both days is just pure luck, and it still feel so surreal that I didn't just beat the odds but I also managed to meet her in person both days and I swear I just can't explain how beautiful and radiant she is and probably one of the nicest people I've ever met, she's so nice, friendly, and she really is such a sweetheart and I swear once I finally moved to Japan, MyGO!!!!! will be one of those bands that I will going to watch perform live.
