- West Coast are facing some big battles at the moment and it doesn't look like it's getting better any time soon... Will Adam Simpson be around at the end of the year? Fremantle are looking good but they need to keep their form up if they want to go the distance in to the finals.

Re WCE's top 12 vs North's top 12, the difference is most of North's are 22-23 and under and most of WC's are over that.

Great question Mark. If Adam answered honestly I hope he would say that he persevered with NicNat, Gaff, McGovern for too long and he didn't renew the list early enough that needed midfield quality urgently. He should have taken action far earlier and for that, he needs to be held accountable and sacked.

Spot on. WCE not replacing Glass a few years back has been the worst decision the club has made.
Yes there were cap issues but our list is average, and there's only so much Simmo can do.

Simmo has the worst assistant coaches on earth around him;
2018 he had Mitchell & Hickmott (hawks) Graham (Freo) Pratt (bulldogs) and VanBerlo((Adelaide) combined with known downhill skiers in the midfield and uncontested possession style defenders who can win one on one contests due to the way they set up. The best guys beat their opponent first then intercept 2nd not occupy a paddock in the hope of getting 4-5 easy marks a game to look cool

West Coast haven’t had a true captain since Hurn.
And the current two are a significant step down from Shuey, who was a significant step down from Hurn.
Come on Skeets McRae inherited a good team that were not in any form of a rebuild how well do you think you would be doing if he came to West Coast instead ?
I don't think Voss is a for sure inclusion against the hawks. Bringing Reidy in maintains the structure that Freo prefer. When you take Dogga and Treacy out of the forward line at times to ruck, the goal kicking suffers. Liam has been dominant in the WAFL.
Great to hear about the player reviews on a Monday morning. I could guarantee they aren’t doing that. Getting away with the same crap every week. How no one was dropped after the hawks game is crazy.
Thanks for being one of the only shows to talk about that North Melbourne actually won that game and that it wasn't just that Gold Coast lost... Norfball is rising, more games into these young kids and our inside 50's and forward 50 work will improve. Lots of missed opportunities in the 3rd and 4th due to inexperience and lack of composure, could've put them away for 5 goals+

Maybe let Simmo see his contract next year but have a succession plan with a Cox or Hansen as an Assistant in 2025 with a farewell game on last game next year. He deserves that after the 2018 Premiership. Need a fresh start.
The whole point of a rebuild is to slowly replace the old guys with the youth, the Eagles are not rebuilding ! They are recruiting and then continuing to play the old guys that have put them in this position and this is why Simmo has to go as he is either blinded by his loyalty or clueless.
Play the youth , get some speed and excitement into the team and some experience into the kids, let them play more than 1 game before getting dropped for a poor performance as the more games they get the less poor performances they should deliver ! Then if there is no improvement you know to also move them on as they aren't up to it.

No clue who the potential other 3 players could be but that’s my opinion on those players at the moment, it’s time to rustle some feathers and make some big changes on our list while we hopefully do a deep dive into potential options of coaches and not just the likes of Cox, Hansen and Graham because there’s plenty out there like Leppitsch, Giansiracusa and such

I wrote this before listening. All about the ruck & midfield.......I was the 1st to jump on Simmo last week against the Hawks. They were deplorable! Having said that, they are very average in the middle of the ground which means they're starting on the backfoot. They must get a decent ruck. Give us a chance to kick it forward, then lock it in. Unfortunately we also have lazy professional sportsmen (edited - midfield) who will not run both ways. Defensively we are poor & skill level is worse.
Fremantle are a strong chance of finishing Top 2 and one thing they have done which is crucial and considered improbable in the last few weeks is an average score of 96.33. If Fremantle wins the flag, you'll know who's a Dockers supporter by the bumper stickers being similar to parents that display my child is a honour student and loud purple blur down the street from Freo markets dropping their pint glass outside a pub. The writing is on the wall seemingly for Adam Simpson's exit and I like the idea of all Australian ruckman Dean Cox stepping in as West Coast head coach. My prediction has the Eagles in the next 128 games winning the Premiership.

If Freo can beat Hawks in Tassie this weekend, they are a lock for Top 4 I reckon
And they should beat them this weekend, they have a good record against The Hawks the last couple of years, long gone are the days Hawthorn bullied us and beat us in the Grand Final. But the way The Hawks have played the last several weeks, Fremantle need to be careful not to let their guard down.
All the teams were told that trying to break contact with a defender and you strike them will be a suspension regardless if you mean it or not. What if he had concussed him, would that make it more "suspendable"? Bit unlucky and a shit way to rule yourself out for the Brownlow, but so have some of the tackles etc that players have been suspended for. They'll appeal and get him off the week on the 'good guy" clause or some other load of horseshizen.

The reason they won’t drop Jack Darling is because they are trying to get him to 300 games and he needs to play every game to achieve that. That has not come from me but from Barra & Quarters. Simmo need to stop being loyal to the senior players because they will survive and he won’t. I want Simmo to stay but he needs to take the Mick Malthouse philosophy “There is no sentiment in Football”. That’s why West Coast played in 10 finals in a row. Hard calls have to be made on senior players.
@@ralphgomeze8873 he’s also the only one who applies forward 50 pressure & takes the best opposition defender so Waterman can kick bags on the 3rd defender each week. Not like any others on the list can play that position ATM

@@trevwilmot2112 So what your telling me when Jack Williams kicks 4 goals in WAFL and is a better alternative for backup ruckman that the best we can do to develop him as a sub and having darling ruck, FYI, when Harley kicked that goal from the centre, have a look who was rucking. And Bailey Williams needs help from someone a bit better than Darling against Gawn. I want Simmo to stay but for far too long he has been loyal to senior players over the kids. In the end Darling will be gone next year and Simmo will be gone because he was too bloody minded to give 2018 Premiership players preference. Maric gets dropped after playing on a wing in preference for Darling. And how would you feel if your being played out of position and get dropped over someone who is not going to be there next year. Are we really looking for the future. Its there for all to see.
The West Coast echo chamber in WA is something else. It’s a boy’s club behind the scenes.
Too much money and success in the past has ruined them. Now the culture is weak. I mean, Simpson is a broken man and yet they won’t let him go. They kept Shuey, Nic Nat, Gaff, etc instead of blooding youth.
They are WEAK.

He did it in the beginning of the year and kept a consistent side, but since Adelaide game, the selection are all over the place.
