  • the last of our welsh fossil hunting trips for now... we will do many more in the future..
    parking is at cf32 0rp
there is a pub on the main road just before the bend called the three golden cups (very nice food)
turn left there and follow the road there is a car park at the top of the hill but if you continue down there is parking at the bottom by the beach but be aware its not a big car park and gets very busy in good weather so make sure to go early to get a space

Great haul, but at 13:38 the stone with lots of fossils doesnt look to be seeds, on some of them you can see a heart shape which in my opinion determines them to be the cross sections of fossil shells. Most of them are infilled with darker sediment, making it seem they are some sort of seed

Thanks I put the pic up for id and had various different thoughts from seeds to bivalves but they are certainly very small I need to seek further info to get a definitive answer

I often came here for photography, mainly at night as it's quite dark with not much lighting. I know it as Dunraven Bay and Southerndown was the village on the main road but I suppose it doesn't matter. I wish I had paid closer attention to what I was walking on hehe.
