A lot of the issues have already been, or will be, addressed (especially the torch puzzle... I'm so sorry lol)! Great demo! Btw Im sure you've heard of ocarina of time and majoras mask multiplayer, but would this/ could this be done in the same way to allow for coop? I loved coop-ing ocarina with my brother and this is too much fun so i'd LOVE to do it in this as well.

I have to say, this is ridiculously impressive. They legitimately added shit into the game beyond the confines of what was initially in the game (every other hack i've seen just is basically level/color swaps). I don't really have words, this is like an entirely new thing
The script though needs polishing, mostly choice of words and how characters act since alot of it is modern day words that you wouldn't see in a zelda game. Everything else is just perfection.
@@GANONdork123 I alreaddy have. It had alot of potential to be a good zelda game, but its strong points were mostly its difficulty in dungeons, however the rest of the game felt like a struggle.
This is just utterly insane, I remember all of my years playing vanilla ocarina of time or any Zelda game at that matter, having to always think outside the box in every situation. This makes you think so outside the box it brings you back in the box.
OOT mods have gotten much more advanced than Zelda's Birthday, which was one of the first OOT mods to have fully new and unique dungeons and areas (despite being fairly simplistic because 2010 standards).

Better late than never for this lol. More publicity is definitely needed for this mod tho. This mod is crazy good and I am excited for the final release. Btw, you can use R to crouch down with the deku sticks, no need to swing them to light them with the floor torch.
I know I've said on another video. But this mod incorporating Capcom game elements like weapons, items, enemies and races is everything! Subrosia from Seasons is going to be an amazing area to visit for sure!

10:50 That criticism resonates strongly with me. Holy crap it was hard to see in a few areas. I was playing on original hardware over S-video on my CRT TV and there were a good number of areas I was virtually blind. Almost just black. Though darker than shown on video, I could still make out more the redead zombies. A few areas in the ship level were also a bit disorientingly dark. Didn't have difficulty with any of the enemies or the torches you brought up, but those poison toads were an annoyance and a half with how short the delay is between grabbing you. Learned to just shoot them from afar. If I could see them, lol.
a lot of these enemies and puzzles are from the gameboy games which is awesome! the candle guys, moving rock crabs, the switches on walls you throw the balls at... etc. so cool
I appreciate the darkness. I feel TotK never becomes night. Of course there's the underground which is VERY dark. But maybe have Tael be able to fly over to points of interest.
This looks really amazing, but I'm gonna wait until they're done so I can play the entire thing without having to wait for new chapters. Good work, everyone involved!
I feel like one way to fix stuff like chests being hard to see in the dark is to add a fairy marker to them. Just because you can't see them doesn't mean that Tatl shouldn't, and he can point them out for you!
Definitely can feel TLC oozing from this mod, and it's inspiring. I think this mod will work well as a tie-between Majora's Mask and Twilight Princess because, in TP, the hero of that era meets his predecessor and his predecessor is garbed in armor and is alluded to having died in battle. I don't think this mod will show that or explain that bit because he would have had to have children prior to his death. Now if this had been modded out to work like a game like Fable 2, then having a family in conjunct with saving this new land would definitely work and you wouldn't have to see a death in the game. You could just assume it occurred afterwards.
You know what would be a cool addition to the mod? After some exploring you find a dark forest and it has a gateway to a secret area. The secret area is Termina. What if Link went back? I’d like to see that. Edit: For context if you don’t know, MM starts with Link in a dark forest
You might be able to fine tune the touchiness of your joysticks in the emulator settings. After years of just dealing with it, I finally tried to modify the sensitivity in my emulator settings and it really helped.

I disagree with you a bit on the lighting thing. The outside shouldn't be as bright as the shop. Maybe a bit brighter, but games so often shy away from true, hard to see, darkness, and use washed out greys instead. It could be a bit brighter, but one of my favorite things about, for example, Majora's Mask and DK64 are just how dark dark areas feel. They could probably keep a similar darkness but just have areas of interest light up with a torch that actually lights the geometry around it. Theoretically the lantern would be perfect for that.
