REACTION: Hot Toys Batman 89 Deluxe Sixth Scale Figure + Batmobile RE-ISSUE!! Michael Keaton’s return to the role of Batman in The Flash movie gave chills to DC fans! Expanding on the current Bat collection, Hot Toys is introducing a brand new 1/6th scale Batman collectible figure based on Tim Burton’s Batman (1989).
Meticulous and faithful recreation of Micheal Keaton’s remarkable appearance as Batman in the movie, the highly-detailed 1/6th scale figure features a newly developed Batman head with separate rolling eyeballs and interchangeable lower faces techniques design; a specialized body highlighting Batman’s muscular form; the newly designed Batsuit to mimic the material appearance; unique Bat gadgets including grapple, gauntlet with line launcher, rope attached batarang, ninja wheels, smoke capsules; also accessories including a white heel shoe, Batmobile remote, b timer, punch gear, and a display base.

I own the previously released one but I’m actually happy to see its back out for those fans who missed them. I may have to breakdown and get that Batmobile! And I have my doubts about this upcoming Flash movie on so many levels. However, my only interest is The Keats! So I’m sure Hot Toys will be releasing the new suit down the line. 😎🖤
This 89 Pre-CG BATMAN , TIM Burton’s Vision with one of the greatest actors ever, only Batman I’ve seen that got a standing ovation. We were there in theater when he drops down in background with wings spread, theater went apeshit, INTENSELY MEMORABLE. Both of them on order, can’t wait!!!
Isn't just awesome how zany batman is in so many ways yet to see the character and his gadgets in total hold up and be so iconic for many decades in so many different iterations. Really a testament not to just so the writing but how well the core of the characters, of both bruce wayne and batman, hit home for so many people. Many would like to see themselves to be brave in the face of danger, selfless, uphold morals and integrity, and make the world a better place. Plus not to mention the fact that yes he is a billionaire but even still so many people can relate (and it allows for the suspension of disbelief, because how otherwise would a single mere mortal be able to keep up with all of gothams under belly akin to Tim burtons or Nolans take and especially the mutant crime in the comics/batman&robin/batman forever)
I still have the first one unopened still today, I like to see the difference between the two.
I’m glad I never pulled the trigger and purchased batman or the batmobile on the secondary market and placed my preorder for the deluxe as soon as it went up!🦇
I already ordered the 89 Batmobile from Jazzinc to match up with his 89 Batwing which should be shipping soon.
Those resale Batmobile prices on eBay about to drop fast and by alot. Also the original did have those lights. The batteries and switch was under the back hatch.

Personally, opinion on re issue's are that they are absolutely fine as long as they don't have an edition size on them. Hot Toys don't have edition sizes, so this is absolutely fine. At the end of the day, there are always new collectors in the hobby who weren't doing it when these were originally released. They have the right to add this to their collection also. Why would anyone want them to miss out just because they weren't collecting at the time. If they reissued this again in 10 years, that's also fine because again new people. The way I sit on this topic of re issue's is if it has an edition then no, If it doesn't then that's fine. I hope they sell loads of these to keep the passion for the film alive. I hope everyone who picks this up gets the full enjoyment because it's going to be awesome.

They do an incredible job on these 1/6 scale figures, I’ve seen some with better likeness than any 1/3 scale statue.
I have both the original figure and Batmobile. I don’t mind at all that they are releasing them. I might even pick up another figure lol

I’ve pre ordered the Keaton Batman Prime 1 and I’m thinking of going for the monitors and the Batmobile here. Not too bothered about the gargoyle. Interesting to see when this will go up for pre order but we’re only a bit behind you guys over here in the Uk. I had no idea the Batmobile was coming out too ,so cheers for the heads up.👍🏼
I already pre-ordered this day!!! The thing for me is that I have both the originals releases from hot toy both Keaton and the batmobile which was a pretty penny for me to get, but this issue gives me a second one with that awesome gargoyle base and still continue to have the original base. So now I can have one batman displayed with my hot toys batmobile and have one displayed with my order of the jazz Inc's batmobile which I believe will turn out a little better, because there are some inaccurate pieces of the hot toys batmobile all still nice. I mainly bought this batman just to have two different display options and have both stands and the gargoyle base which is the number one reason I pulled the trigger. Still a great looking figure and glad we got another one and not mad with this release with having the original. I'm just glad I won't have to spend a higher price point for a original one for the jazz Inc batmobile when it comes!!!
This amazing the real question is prime one 1989 batman statues and the throne peices they are releasing. Which ones to get? This of course is most likely more budget friendly but 1/6 scale, prime one 1989 batman is 1/3 and the throne peices are 1/4. Do we want two screen set ups? Do we want this and the throne peices instead of prime one's 1989 peices? Finally what does my wallet and shelf space say?

An absolute grail! I can’t believe the time has come for this beauty. I’ve been waiting years since I didn’t want to pay resell price on it. Keaton is, and will always be my GOAT Batman! Day one pre order for sure.
As soon as I got the e-mail from Sideshow that it was live, I ordered the Deluxe Edition and The Batmobile. So F#@%ing excited!!!
Great review. but where's the pers-eye system located I noticed from every picture there's No 360 degree videos clips so far of the cowl. Do you know if the pers-eye system is located on the back of his cowl or not? I hope not.
Too bad the monitor diorama was not offered that looked really cool. I PO the regular edition. Batmobile looks sick but people who are way more familiar than me about it say it’s a re-used mold and there are a lot inaccuracies. Joost’s Batmobile is more accurate but double the price of I am not mistaken. Either way nice for collectors to have options.
Wonder if it will be offered as a separate purchase?

It’s absolutely a fantastic head sculpt. They really did a good job! The one with a smile looks off but the other 2 are amazing. This is a great statue set to have! It’s awesome he is getting some more love! Yes get them both. The Bat mobile is also great to see again as well.
Love the face switch outs this is next level of cool the competition has to take this look seriously, it gives the collecting community another brilliant version of Batman never seen before and is a winner 😊
I definitely have to get my hands on that Batmobile, my absolute favorite of the live action Batmobiles

I'm a big Batfleck fan, but I do find it fenomenal that Keaton gets all the love the last few months/years. Born in '86, I grew up with Keaton. So I'm really looking forward to see him back in The Flash movie. That will be epic, I had the Flash trailer on repeat yesterday. I won't get this , for me it was one Hot Toys and done, because my focus is on statues. But for me its a hit. Congrats for all that will order 👍👏👏👏💪

Chris, when batman opened up the cape, is he able to hold the cape with both his hands as what is shown the Hot Toys photo? Does the cape comes with wires built in?
1989 batman is an iconic masterpiece! I was 14 when it came out. The batsuit, the music, Keaton,Burton,and elfman....just wow...!
From Sideshow $280 the collector edition and the Deluxe $345. Batmobile $715
I have the original DX09 and it still looks great .honestly I think i prefer the face plates on the DX09 better .Though the base on this new one is awesome i wont re buy this.

It's definitely a hit. The monitor diorama is cool, the Batmobile with the shield will be the icing on the cake. Collectors are gonna be stuck between this and Prime 1's version.
Original did have light up features including in the car and dash, rear lights and exhaust.
Cape looks different on this batman vs previous.
Sweet it looks fantastic and I super love the Batmobile so cool!! I might have a chance to get Hot toys Dark knight and Joker at an auction in my town this month...fingers crossed!!

Its a cool piece but JazzInc is another company that makes the 89 Batmobile besides Hot Toys , have a look at both and decide which you like better , I ordered the 89' Batman Cowl from PureArts very cool , have a wonderful day Bat collectors ☺

Yup, super cool but for me is too much money being spent caus too much to spend it on! I've stopped PO's now because I am buying current stuff and all my previous PO's held up during pandemic are starting to shake loose and come back to haunt me. I mean I'm happy to get them but the balances due are hitting out of control and when combined with unexpected life expenditures (need new tires, fix roof, etc. etc.) can put you in a hole really fast if you're not careful. Cheers.
P.S. - I really do want that Batmobile as well but would be hard to explain to my wife why I need two large 1989 Batmobiles since my super cool Lego version has been allowed to stay parked in the TV room for the last few years.

Strangely enough I didn't take to Micheal Keaton's Batman Movies they were ok for their time, but for me he was Mr Mom a John Candy type of character turned serious actor.
Beautiful set. Curious to see you hit or miss video, now that Dark knight returns diorama went on pre order today. I think it'd we'll priced at $1399 for deluxe but the only reason I will not be getting this is that it's too small at 17 inches. Hopefully they make it in 1/3.
I think price is great considering it's three characters.
