Hi I have to be honest I have not seen it done but I'm sure it must be possible if they make the adapter. with that said you could always buy none branded batteries like I do. Very cheap and work just as well I get them of Amazon for around £22 each they last years. Thanks for watching
@@TomMagicWoodworking thanks for getting back to me Tom what brand of cheap batteries are you using there's so many to choose from it's a mine field. I tried de Walt battery in an old Makita brushed drill it worked fine I am not sure if the newer brushless tools are smarter to only work with their own batters but iam going to pull the trigger on that planner and I will let you know how I get on.
To be honest all the batteries that say they are replacement for Makita work on Amazon but I think your idea on the adaptor will work. best of luck with it
