- The Arbiter is teleported by the Gravemind near Delta Halo's control room, where he witnesses the bloody aftermath of the Brute's genocide of the Elites on the ring's surface....
Fueled by a burning desire for revenge, the disgraced supreme commander and the Elite survivors of the massacre engage on a guerrilla war against the Brutes and the remaining Human forces that escaped the Quarantine Zone.

It’s interesting how the marines are either hyper lethal are totally squishy. There is no middle ground, it’s fun to watch.
Lore wise they should be squishy. The game gives them the most plot armor of any faction in sci-fi
@@first001 That is debatable. in the books as well as stated in lore bits, humans are more than capable of going head to head with the covenant, on the ground. Backed up by 500 years of knowledge and experience in the art of contemporary warfare. So lore wise it’s also canonic that a squad of marines will quickly shred an elite with massed fire.
Johnson is not gonna be happy about those dead Marines
to be fair, no one on this ring is supposed to be happy about anything when you consider the lore...

This narrative doesn’t really work because of how the different factions are spaced apart. It makes it look like humans and brutes are working together. Also the only missions that could have killing humans as the Arbiter canonically make sense would be Sacred Icon and Quarantine Zone since humans were after the same thing as the Arbiter and he was still fanatically loyal to the Prophets at that time

Yeah the author should have placed some Human vs brute encounters to keep those classic three-way firefights Halo is known for...
It would make more narrative sense for brutes and humans to side together, brutes overthrowing highest status elites. Bungie rushed the story and killed off the best sci Fi faction which had to be recreated all over again with 343 games since nothing else can be done with the franchise

that intro song literally never gets old. whenever i think halo its that song and sounds.
Like the mission but feel there's way to many humans near the end. Feel they take over the role of the brutes for the level. Along with that, it just dosen't make any sense that there are so many and how well equiped they are.
Would have been so cool to be able to kill marines in halo 2
technically you can on Sacred Icon, but you have to grenade jump to them or they get killed by the Flood

No the elites usually win those AI battles. But yeah idk why 343 tried to flip that the other way around
I find it funny how the Humans seem to be good at pushing the player and offense despite being weak and squishy compared to Elites and Brutes and even Grunts and much better at ranged combat. You'd think that they would be better on the defense and punishing reckless running and gunning, but apparently it's reversed.
I love the grey/sad sky with sun rays of uprising. Anniversary kinda missed that artistic choice
A smart choice by Bungie's level desginers to show that emotion of betrayal probably felt by the Elites

Man, too bad you cant mod Halo 2 on Anniversary graphics...Reach's armor would look gorgeous with the updated lighting
Glad to see marines not having more health than the chief. Insane how spongy they are thought the games
I mean...would you like for them to be one shot in all engagements, leaving you alone?
Legendary difficulty at least makes it somewhat closer to canon...

I got some news coming in,Halo 3 odst 457's overhaul mod is available.
Alright, I'll look into it....though I was planning on starting a playthroygh for another H3:ODST Mod first...
It's interesting to note that in the original campaign, the marines were actually marked as friendlies in this level.
I do not recall the UNSC actually appearing on Uprising, asides from their weapons of course.
Maybe you mean The Great Journey level instead?
