Funny that Mike basically said if he were President, he would do his job. Main part of the executive branch is to carry out and enforce the law.
The no coal, no drilling put the American economy in a bad situation. If Biden cared there would be more recycling plants. There are ways and means that things need to be done, but energy is highly important and not negotiable. I like it when Republicans put the truth out. Mike Rowe has showed so many industries to prove that. He paints the picture and shows the consequences I like that. Being that country shows other countries and maybe they change. Crime actually increases costs, taxes, and insurance on the people.

Global land and ocean temperature increases; rising sea levels; ice loss at Earth’s poles and in mountain glaciers; frequency and severity changes in extreme weather such as hurricanes, heatwaves, wildfires, droughts, floods, and precipitation; and cloud and vegetation cover changes. Such things will our society have to deal with in a massive scale and it will only get worse.

@@dw2793 China is already on that and further than America is concerning renewable % of electricity generated in the country. You are only mentioning China because they have such a large population but in fact they are only emitting aprox half CO2 per capita compared to America. India is not even worth mentioning in this discussion as they only emit 1/8th per capita compared to America.
If we talk about the historical share of CO2 emissions created by each country then America would be 1st with 416 billion tonnes CO2, EU would be second with 290 billion tonnes CO2, China would be third with 238 billion tonnes CO2 and India would be fourth with 55 billion tonnes CO2.
Yes, all countries need to join in order to decrease the CO2 emissions but you really shouldnt just blame others. America has a huge part in CO2 emissions.

Balanced energy is an infrastructure and daily usage strategy that marries the best our resources to provide and use energy in the most efficient low cost solution. A one stop approach never will be right. Each energy source has to work harmoniously together achieving independence, low cost, lowest impact to the world. The solution must be seamless yet evolutionary to an ultimate solution. Fake deadlines will never work, starving one solution without a timely meaningful solution. The EV strategy is in its infant stage at best and not ready for prime time, plus dependency on other countries will weaken our national security. That can never happen. That doesn’t mean as evolutionary solutions should not be part of the strategy, but can only increase if and when improvements become seamless in conversion for the end users. This is high level view but should define your question. This is a public industry improvement, but 2035 is unrealistic and in its current and neat future solutions. Time for a reality check.

I have always loved Mike Rowe. Love love this guy. Love his everything he has done in the past and present. I’d vote for him. You bet!
Just having a President that you like is not enough. It's the Local and state seats , the school boards , your sheriff if you have 1 , the judges in your courts . These are the seats that we must change.
All other considerations aside, fire hazard would be the number one EV deterrent for me.
Mike looks more comfortable on that couch than any of the people who sit there all the time. Also, part of the reason for his popularity (and that of his shows) is that... he's just talking to the audience normally. He doesn't come across like most people on these shows, like they're trying to sell us something. Mike is just having a conversation, telling us what he thinks. Personally, I think that's a quality that has become lost to American politicians, and it's one of the problems with America today. We've lost the ability to just have a conversation, or at least, the people in charge have.
