Shehzad Poonawalla is an absolute gem. Wow! What clarity, maturity, logic and balance in thought and eloquence in speech. On top of it, he’s shown such confidence in going above and beyond religion and identity to truly put the country first. How many his age, younger or older, educated or uneducated will have the gumption to not be swayed by religious/political/ cultural/family driven dogmas and ideologies. But he has! Not an easy feat by any standards even as a common man let alone as a Muslim spokesperson of a party tainted as “Hindu nationalist” by sections of the Indian and western media.
He is the face of modern India. He is the face of true secular (not the congress’s’ pseudo-secular) India. He is the face of young India. He is face of educated India. He is face of ambitious India.
