On Georgetown's very first possession, there are 8 consecutive passes between the top of the key and the left wing (starting at the 6:10 mark) between Starks and Trawick. It's my favorite moment across all of humanity in my lifetime, never to be equaled. Big East basketball forever ✊

Man I really miss the Good Ole Days of the Big East. Syracuse, Georgetown, Marquette, Louisville, Villanova, Uconn, Rutgers, Providence, Cincy, DePaul.
I grew up on the Syracuse Gtown rivalry. Been to 100’s of games at the dome. Leaving for the ACC was the first shot that soured college bball. Now with the NIL and the portal college bball is dead to me. It’ll never be the same. I’m told inhave to give a crap about Duke or North Carolina. Give me SU vs Villanova or UConn any day!!!

I like the ACC. Best conference in the country. I wouldn’t want to go back cause there’s no good teams besides Villanova and there’s no rivalries besides Georgetown. Here in the ACC there’s Duke, UNC, Virginia, Louisville, Pitt, Florida State, the list goes on
such a bad decision to go the ACC
As a die hard New York sports fan I really miss the Old Big East, and as a college sports traditionalist, the 2013 conference realignment hit like a stab in the heart for me. The football schools leaving the Big East, Maryland leaving the ACC, Nebraska joining the Big 10, Colorado joining the Pac 12, and Missouri and TAMU joining the SEC all were a shame the history of college sports. It exemplified to all of us diehard sports fans how colleges now value money over tradition.
I know it’s practically impossible to reunite the Old Big East at this point, but I hope the next conference realignment in 2023 will help restore the tradition of college sports. These are the conferences that I hope to see after the next realignment.
