  • A quick rehouse of our salmon pink birdeater (Lasiodora parahybana or LP for short).
    The genus is such a nice collection of species. We have;
    Lasiodora parahybana
    Lasiodora klugi
    Lasiodora striatipes
    all stunning, all different.
    Sorry for the soft focus at the start, camera needed a bit of a kick :)

      They really are such an underrated species.
      The striatipes is also lovely. The klugi is a menace (well mine is) 😂

      Yeah they have a decent lip on that side and no holes on the side that would become the base

    AWESOME video Matt the LPs are really under rated I think they are a STUNNING species I had the same problem rehousing my Lasiodora Klugi took me about 25 minutes to move it from one enclosure to the new one lol

    You always get the odd flicky ones... The one I gave Kris was a right moody so & so, flicky male. My female she's great, very calm. My 4 juvies are each not too bad. I love their size and were my first t in my 20's.

    I think I know someone who is after a male reduncus, but I think he's wanting it for his female as in to buy. All you can do is ask ... (Well last time I checked he wanted one) Lol

      Yeh exactly, heard you mention in the video. I do have one myself but couldn't tell you if it's male or female, never had a moult, since it was given to me.

    Matt my LP has webbed itself inside her hide hasn't been seen for about 3 weeks now! Is this a normal thing for LP to do?? My one is un sexed to!

      Depends on the size. Smaller ones go off and burrow and do their thing. The larger ones are out on display all their time and tend to bury their hides.
