K-Speed Grips Install for the Honda Rebel 500

- In today's video we install a set of K-Speed Grips onto my friend's bike, Brucie. You've seen a few mods for Brucie on this channel, and this was one of a couple of things looked at which can be ticked off as completed.
You can purchase these directly from the K-Speed website, either the official Thailand one, or the Japanese agent.

I think this is a must have upgrade, as the stock grips are very thin walled. This mod helps you to slightly smoothen out your controls.

My Rebel 500 is silver in color and I installed the Vans Grey Color Grips and they look great. I think that the softness is very similar to the K-Speed grips you installed. I paid $20 for my Vans grips how does that compare price wise with the K-Speed brand?
Hey man! Awesome video, straight forward. One question I’m curious with, the Diablo K-Speed tank cover he has, does the colour match his tail fairing? Thinking about getting it myself.

Looking good, man. Ive got some Kspeed parts because of you. Although I went a different route. Put on an 1100t front fairing, belly fairing, side farings, tailight strip with stock fender, side mount license plate. How are your bullet turn singals holding up? Are they decently bright?
Good to hear. This is my friends bike. Hers are working well. I had bullets as well but I ended up changing to a dome top on the front fairing

Hi James, thanks for watching my channel. There's a lot of parts for the 1100, but not quite as much as the 500. If you go to kspeed.net and search Rebel, there should be some 1100 products there. As well as webike Japan. There are some American sites as well but I have no experience with those manufacturers as the Asian market has every part I've ever needed. hey, i see that you changed your tank cover, it actually look better than previous diablo tank cover. But doesn't the rain or water leaks into the cut out? Or doesn't it collects dirt and dusts?
This isn't my bike it's my friends bike. Yes it would collect dust and dirt but so would mine. I think you need to rethink your question buddy. No one is going to want to remove the tank cover to clean the OEM tank underneath that no one would see, just to cover it up again. Do you know what I mean?
@@TweakedGSX thanks for answering the questions, but i don't have to rethink the questions. Different people have different preferences, and I have my own as well. You might not care about dust/dirt/water collecting because no one would see it, but i prefer my original tank exposes less to the weather or other elements when I install a tank cover. Different preference, no right or wrong, hope you also know what i mean.

Hey ive also just installed new grips on my rebel 500, is it normal there's a little tiny gap after pushing it in to the Max on the throttle side?
There may be a very small gap to the wall of the controls, but should be no gap between the throttle tube and the grip.
I have 2021 Rebel 500. Cannot find grips to fit. Throttle is 27mm . Any ideas ????
The throttle grip is measured by the inside diameter. On a 21 model it is the same as 2019. The kspeed site listing is what you will need. Alternatively webike Japan has kijima grips add the rebel to your garage and then you will see listings for your bike.
