Amy Jo and JDF were the only two original Rangers to make an appearance in the 2017 movie. To think they wouldn’t be part of something like this 6 years later is heartbreaking.
To be honest I think Amy is one of the few Rangers to kinda find a career outside the PR Fandom, so it makes sense she wouldn't jump to come back immediately. I always respected that JDF seemingly embraced the PR Fandom and would never let it go.
I think what we can reasonably assume everyone is that Amy Jo Johnson doesn't seem to want to do the PR special without Jason David Frank. Given their 25+ years of friendship, I'd say she's got plenty reason. If you lose someone you love, be it a friend, a lover or a family member, if we lose someone we keep close to our hearts and bounce back to normal immediately afterwards...we're not human.

Once a Ranger Always a Ranger. Even if they have passed on. It’s sad not to see Amy in the show but it’s still going to be a great watch for all of us 90’s kids and it will be great to introduce this new Generation in to some of the OG’s
I'm sure she'll do something in the future. Thing is Austin St John I didn't see in it he was the original red ranger (which he may still be in it) and I like to see Bulk and Skull in this they were the lonest lasting characters through the series. RIP Thuy Trang, Robert Axelrod and Jason David Frank.
Austin is definitely not in it. They filmed this in New Zealand, and because of the ongoing case still in investigation with him (Although I think it's still open) He's not allowed to leave the country until it gets situated. So even if he wanted to be in this, he'd be unable to attend

Though I am glad to see Steve Cardenas, I stopped watching Power Ranger after Zeo, then maybe of and on again through Turbo and Space for Bulk and Skull. But I like Dinosaurs always wished to see them in today's tech and look real. Which I hope is in the special.

@@RedBeardJohnny61 The special was completed before JDF’s passing. The original cast were ALL offered to come back. JDF (Tommy) said no to it as he stated he was done with power rangers completely. He publicly stated his dislike of the way Hasbro was handling things. So he shifted his focus to creating his own original series The Legend of the White Dragon. Which is coming out soon. Austin St. John (Jason) is going thru a legal situation and he can not leave the country to travel to New Zealand where power rangers is filmed. I’m sure he woulda returned if it wasn’t for that. Amy Jo (Kimberly) retired as an actress and is working behind the scenes as Director/Writer. She’s always stated at comic cons she wasn’t willing to return to the series as Kimberly. But she’ll love to direct something for power rangers if given the opportunity.

I believe after JDF's passing, Amy was still in her mourning period and needed some time away from the show, even if it meant she wouldn't attend the reunion special. She had all rights to accept or decline the offer, we as fans should respect her decision and hope whatever she has planned for the anniversary will be just as amazing as the special!
Sounds like she was offered an amount and she didn't like the offer. She and JDF were probably the most successful of the MMPR cast and they likely thought they were worth more than Hasbro was willing to pay.
It’s honestly a shame they couldn’t work something out. It would have been really special getting to see Jason, Amy, and all the OG cast together one last time.
You know, I think some people are not realizing it might be hard for filming that right now because of the passing of Jason, David Frank she may be still hurting from his passing people. Need to realize to that you know what the whole morning process is morning a loss of somebody, they are over a year or sometimes longer before they can do certain things like you know that might’ve been too hard for the do you know my phone is this though yes I would love to see her there, too. She was my favorite one she was always my favorite one, but I’m not upset about it because I respect her decision. She don’t owe us anything. @Tzvi Krasner ohh I think there was plenty of romance. When you watch them together it's there. I think its more that the timing was never right because when they were together they both cheated on their current partners so it would seem but then when she left and he left the show they both went in different directions and by the time they met back up here and there they were again in serious relationships (and not that that necessarily stopped them but still) then there was also the distance. He was in TX she was in Canada. However during the tribute video she made of her singing to him right after he passed; she wrote those songs for him. And the second song she sang she had played maybe a few months before then for the first time and of course she's vague but if you listen to the lyrics it was something like "if you're missing me/ well I'm missing you too /" and with the caption "now might just be the perfect time to start something new " or something. And it just so happens this was shortly after his toxic wife had him served divorce papers.....so idk....to me that's a lot of coincidence to not be anything. But it's just my intuition
The last time she was in PR was back in the turbo movie. Well not counting her cameo in the 2017 movie. And considering she the roomers of PR getting rebooted after the 30th season this was her last chance to reprise Kim
Looking back, I think that Jason David Frank and Amy Jo Johnson really made a perfect couple, on and off the screen. I am glad to hear that both actors were able to find their own loves. Let's not say that it's too bad they never tried dating each other because it usually healthy not to regret the past and each of them are the kindest, most beautiful individuals. I hope to see Amy Jo on screen again, soon.
No disrespect to Amy but the long lasting impact of her being apart of the 30th Anniversary would have been way better than any financial figure they were offering her so she should have said yes. Its quite unfortunate but Im sure Kat will do the Pink Ranger justice.
Yes we all wanted her to be there, but maybe she knows her worth as an actrees. Maybe the timing wasnt there, cause she's busy herself with her own projects these days and then on top of JDF passing. Who knows all we can do is respect her decision, she was down for it though

It could have meant she didn't accept the money they offered, but it could have meant she didn't accept the script they offered, or a number of other things. So it's understandable that some people are still wondering what the reason is.
Amy's never returned to the series since leaving it. If I'm not mistaken, the only one of the original crew who took longer to be comfortable going to Morphicons was David. Not having Jason there would only be more pain, I'd imagine. She's also essentially letting Catherine have the spotlight, and that may be deliberate given how her run as Kat was tainted by comparisons to Amy's as Kimberly. The ones in this special are almost to a one the actors less beloved- with the exception of JYB, because really, how do you top Ichigo Kurosaki- which I think is another great touch. It's putting the focus on the legacy, rather than the people.
I always thought they should've done a movie where Mighty Morphin and Zeo team up as Tommy, Billy and Jason were in both seasons so the newer Rangers could've been in Zeo and the Originals could've been Mighty Morphin'
Well she was absent for a lot of event after she left the series. She didn't want to associate herself with the pink ranger anymore. It was not like 10 years ago or something that she finally started to go to events such as comic con, and if I'm not mistaken, the late JDF was what changed her mind to participate in the fan made events. I was bummed out that she wasn't in the 30th anniversary, but hey she's happy with was she's doing, and the other pink ranger is there so it's all good. 😎 Can't wait for the show to come out in April on Netflix! 😁

@@pa5666 It was filmed in September, as we had a local comic con and Cat and Nakia were our PR guests, and Cat had to cancel because she was in NZ filming.
The reasons for declining/putting the opportunity to come back for the 30th anniversary for the time being or so is fair and justified. That chemistry both on and off camera during the show with JDF was more than special, they were soulmates. The energy between them could not be underestimated. His passing not only shattered the hearts of the fans, cast and crew both past and present, it definitely affected Amy Jo very deeply. The 30th anniversary special will be hard to watch because of two past cast members not being involved in it, but hopefully they will honour both Frank's and Trang's legacies in it because they also helped make MMPR and the PR franchise what it is today alongside past and present cast members.
Disagreed. She never cared about MMPR and showed that due to never showing up to cons for a long time. It wasn't until realizing the money and marketing JDF would get that she then made appearances. Even then, the appearances were awkward as she always reinforced that the characters are fake whenever JDF would play around and speak as if he's Tommy. Amy wanted money despite David Yost putting in a ton of work to help make this. She should have done it for him and for JDF, but nope, more money is a major factor for a dying franchise that barely has a budget. MMPR isn't Seinfeld, Friends, or Fresh Prince. It's MMPR. JDF, Johnny Bosch Young, Catherine Sutherland, and Steve Cardenas have always done episodes for the fans and not for a financial aspect.

Damn! I loved watching the original show when i was kid. There was a special feeling to watching Power Rangers. As I grew older I lost interest in the newer generation. I remember watching the movie too. And knowing the white ranger has passed recently is sad. Only 49 years old. I look forward to the Netflix movie. Massive crush on Amy when I was a kid. Those days before when we had 100+ TV channels, in the UK we only had 4 TV channels. I remember waking up early as 6am in the morning just to watch the episodes.
Meh idc about Jason. He doesn't need to be the third wheel. Besides you'd have angel wings on tommy and prison orange on Jason and well. That doesn't give kimberly much to work with .
@ajax4801 this was filmed in september, two months before his passing. I'm not saying he's in it, but he's more of a likelihood than Austin St john, who has ongoing legal troubles and literally can't leave the state. Though technically even he could have filmed a zoom call cameo or something, I suppose. Don't know how Texas state law works in those regards
Filming of such an episode takes about half a year at least so there is a chance JDF will have a scene. Amy Jo might be playing coy and is also a suprise scene. But I could totally be wrong. Although they kept the 3 spidermen under wraps pretty well.
The only incentive would have been money and they didn't offer enough which is what she alluded to in her response of "I didn't agree with what they offered."

What happened (and the same goes with Sarah Michelle Gellar who thought she was too good for "Buffy" and TV versus film) is decades go by, they realize the one show they had with a cult following is their claim to fame. Not a deterrent from being taken seriously as an A-list movie star. So then they kind of embrace their biggest success because with time, they realized it was the highlight of their career, not something in their past they had to pretend didn't happen if they became Oscar-winning stars, etc. Their snobbery towards "dorky fans" still exists though, even if they force themselves to be around them for money. (I knew both actresses firsthand because I work in TV/film and had friends who worked on both shows.)

She's also not the only actress to ever do this. There had been rumors for years that Tina Louise, who played Ginger Grant on 'Gilligan's Island', hated the show which is why she never appeared in any of the reunion films. However, she said in December 2020 that wasn't true at all. She really loved her character and was very grateful for the amount of fan mail she had received for many years. Despite not appearing in any of the reunion films, Louise did walk-on reunions with the cast of 'Gilligan's Island' on morning and late-night talk shows as well as the 2004 TV Land Awards. The Olsen Twins chose not to return as Michelle Tanner on 'Fuller House', but they both later attended Bob Saget's funeral with the rest of the original; 'Full House' cast.
Considering the story is about Trini the Original Yellow Ranger's daughter becoming the new yellow ranger. Storyline wise it would make the most sense to have Kimberly there who was Trini's best friend.

Austin had some legal issues with the police plus he is under investigation and he is still on community service and he will not go out or return for the role as jason. Plus fans still boycott austin and they refused to see him because they claim he is still guilty for anti covid fraud
She seems to be cool with the dudes who played Billy, Zack, and Tommy (RIP) but I think she has a problem with some of the other cast members....That's why she doesn't do panels with them and won't return to the show.
I think it has to do with Catherine and the replacement cast members. If you look through the history, besides Jason David Frank and David including the 90's movie and the second season of og Power Rangers. You could even sense a vibe she wasn't interacting with the replacement members real well. She wasn't really that personally close with Karan Ashley, Steve Cardenas, and Johnny Yong Bosch. She has nothing against them personally besides Catherine. Plus the money were another issue.

@@KrisBryant99 That's what I had been gotten from her also since Power Rangers started. I sense some kind of aura that she was stuck up in the first season but she hid it better. When they were going through the second season, you could finally sense Amy was a bit open about it because Jason David Frank took over the lead of the show when Austin left. David Yost even explain about the behavior from his castmates once Thuy, Austin, and Walter left. He wasn't comfortable at all with Jason and Amy especially Jason takin over the lead. Hear what I look at it this way. JDF and Amy were more like preps and Austin, David, Thuy, and Walter were more like average outsiders. Amy used to talk down to David about his athletic skills including his acting and JDF used make some horrible jokes on him. They didn't do it as much when Walter and Austin was around because Austin used to make JDF get checked. But once half the original castmates left, it got out of hand for Yost. I don't know how Amy is now personally but I heard some negative story about her in the past especially from Yost.
@@philliplandry4139 Honestly any issue Yost had with PR likely had more to do with the background crew and not necessarily the actors. I've never heard him say anything bad about his fellow rangers except for the production crew. Now far as Amy and Frank go, I dont think Amy has ever liked JDF. Yes they were somewhat of a couple on screen but I never got that chemistry off. Even through Amy's fake tears that I consider to be fake. In fact I would go as far as to say that JDF likely never had any real allies on MMPR and that's likely due to the fact that he got the MOST attention on there.

I was too grown when this show premiered but my oldest boy loves it at the time. I thought the concept was cool but the whole American/Japanese thing was too corny for me. I worked at KB Toys when the toys first hit the stands and remember everyone was trying to buy the Green Ranger stuff. It was insane watching them fly off the shelves. I will check this out. I did like the 1st movie and I did have me a crush on Amy Jo. It's a shame she won't be in this and that Jason passed. I thought the whole Green/White Ranger thing was an interesting premise. I remember years ago a fan trailer was made that was geared more towards adults , with Katee Sackhoff. Would have loved to have seen something like that come to fruition. I'll definitely check this out though.

I meannnn...realistically whatever was offered to her is probably more than she could have made anywhere else in such a short period of time, it's not like she's out there getting work thrown at her. I feel like this was more of a pride thing, believing she deserved more, but she still could have gotten some fast buck by making an appearance and gained back some exposure which could have only helped with her future projects. All in all, weird move on her part.

Well, you have to factor that they probably weren't going to pay for her plane ticket to fly her down to New Zealand. That's one of the reasons certain former PR actors turned down the chance to reprise their roles for past team-up/anniversary specials.

I always wondered if AJJ and JDF actually slept together? Anyways... man the dude who played Zach ( black ranger) still looks young and pretty good for his age! AJJ still looks pretty good, but you can see her aging in the face. Yes when I found out JDF died, I started tearing up and getting emotional because Power Rangers was my childhood... I grew up on that Tv show ever since the early 90's. I would come home everyday after school to watch it on weekdays around 3pm or sometimes 4pm. Then would wake up early mornings on Saturday to watch it on Fox kids... then afterwards would go out to the mall on a Saturday morning or go play basketball with friends. So the point is... Power rangers is apart of me and my life. I was already heartbroken and sad when I found out Trini ( The original yellow ranger) died.. she died in September 2001 in a carwreck in SF, CA. I didn't find out she died until Jan 2006, and I remember I wrote brief letter praising her for the TV show and wishing her family well and rest in peace; I mailed the letter to the funeral home that her services were held at before her cremation!
Growing up me and my little brother loved power rangers and my mom bought us both power ranger Halloween costumes. She got me the red ranger and my little brother the pink ranger lol. My mom told me she thought the pink power ranger was a boy and that my little brother would be to young to notice…he noticed lol.
They had relations back in the day and probably dated as well. They kept that private Im assuming. But that’s why she’s not doing it because he’s gone.

@@MrLobo1024 JDF's movie Legend Of The White Dragon was still in production at the time when the Power Rangers special was filmed last year. He chose to not to be in it (Power Rangers), to do his movie (White Dragon) instead, but he died two months ago. So it's gonna be his last role.

I think what we can reasonably assume everyone is that Amy Jo Johnson doesn't seem to want to do the PR special without Jason David Frank.
Given their 25+ years of friendship, I'd say she's got plenty reason.
If you lose someone you love, be it a friend, a lover or a family member, if we lose someone we keep close to our hearts and bounce back to normal immediately afterwards...we're not human.

Once a Ranger Always a Ranger. Even if they have passed on. It’s sad not to see Amy in the show but it’s still going to be a great watch for all of us 90’s kids and it will be great to introduce this new Generation in to some of the OG’s

Thing is Austin St John I didn't see in it he was the original red ranger (which he may still be in it) and I like to see Bulk and Skull in this they were the lonest lasting characters through the series. RIP Thuy Trang, Robert Axelrod and Jason David Frank.
Austin is definitely not in it. They filmed this in New Zealand, and because of the ongoing case still in investigation with him (Although I think it's still open) He's not allowed to leave the country until it gets situated. So even if he wanted to be in this, he'd be unable to attend

JDF (Tommy) said no to it as he stated he was done with power rangers completely. He publicly stated his dislike of the way Hasbro was handling things. So he shifted his focus to creating his own original series The Legend of the White Dragon. Which is coming out soon.
Austin St. John (Jason) is going thru a legal situation and he can not leave the country to travel to New Zealand where power rangers is filmed. I’m sure he woulda returned if it wasn’t for that.
Amy Jo (Kimberly) retired as an actress and is working behind the scenes as Director/Writer. She’s always stated at comic cons she wasn’t willing to return to the series as Kimberly. But she’ll love to direct something for power rangers if given the opportunity.

I believe after JDF's passing, Amy was still in her mourning period and needed some time away from the show, even if it meant she wouldn't attend the reunion special. She had all rights to accept or decline the offer, we as fans should respect her decision and hope whatever she has planned for the anniversary will be just as amazing as the special!
Jason passed in November. The special was filmed back in September, two months before he passed away.
Sounds like she was offered an amount and she didn't like the offer. She and JDF were probably the most successful of the MMPR cast and they likely thought they were worth more than Hasbro was willing to pay.

You know, I think some people are not realizing it might be hard for filming that right now because of the passing of Jason, David Frank she may be still hurting from his passing people. Need to realize to that you know what the whole morning process is morning a loss of somebody, they are over a year or sometimes longer before they can do certain things like you know that might’ve been too hard for the do you know my phone is this though yes I would love to see her there, too. I think its more that the timing was never right because when they were together they both cheated on their current partners so it would seem but then when she left and he left the show they both went in different directions and by the time they met back up here and there they were again in serious relationships (and not that that necessarily stopped them but still) then there was also the distance. He was in TX she was in Canada. However during the tribute video she made of her singing to him right after he passed; she wrote those songs for him. And the second song she sang she had played maybe a few months before then for the first time and of course she's vague but if you listen to the lyrics it was something like "if you're missing me/ well I'm missing you too /" and with the caption "now might just be the perfect time to start something new " or something. And it just so happens this was shortly after his toxic wife had him served divorce papers.....so idk....to me that's a lot of coincidence to not be anything. But it's just my intuition

Looking back, I think that Jason David Frank and Amy Jo Johnson really made a perfect couple, on and off the screen.
I am glad to hear that both actors were able to find their own loves. Let's not say that it's too bad they never tried dating each other because it usually healthy not to regret the past and each of them are the kindest, most beautiful individuals.

Amy's never returned to the series since leaving it. If I'm not mistaken, the only one of the original crew who took longer to be comfortable going to Morphicons was David. Not having Jason there would only be more pain, I'd imagine. She's also essentially letting Catherine have the spotlight, and that may be deliberate given how her run as Kat was tainted by comparisons to Amy's as Kimberly. The ones in this special are almost to a one the actors less beloved- with the exception of JYB, because really, how do you top Ichigo Kurosaki- which I think is another great touch. It's putting the focus on the legacy, rather than the people.

Well she was absent for a lot of event after she left the series. She didn't want to associate herself with the pink ranger anymore. It was not like 10 years ago or something that she finally started to go to events such as comic con, and if I'm not mistaken, the late JDF was what changed her mind to participate in the fan made events.
I was bummed out that she wasn't in the 30th anniversary, but hey she's happy with was she's doing, and the other pink ranger is there so it's all good. 😎 Can't wait for the show to come out in April on Netflix! 😁

The reasons for declining/putting the opportunity to come back for the 30th anniversary for the time being or so is fair and justified. That chemistry both on and off camera during the show with JDF was more than special, they were soulmates. The energy between them could not be underestimated. His passing not only shattered the hearts of the fans, cast and crew both past and present, it definitely affected Amy Jo very deeply. The 30th anniversary special will be hard to watch because of two past cast members not being involved in it, but hopefully they will honour both Frank's and Trang's legacies in it because they also helped make MMPR and the PR franchise what it is today alongside past and present cast members.

Disagreed. She never cared about MMPR and showed that due to never showing up to cons for a long time. It wasn't until realizing the money and marketing JDF would get that she then made appearances. Even then, the appearances were awkward as she always reinforced that the characters are fake whenever JDF would play around and speak as if he's Tommy.
Amy wanted money despite David Yost putting in a ton of work to help make this. She should have done it for him and for JDF, but nope, more money is a major factor for a dying franchise that barely has a budget. MMPR isn't Seinfeld, Friends, or Fresh Prince. It's MMPR. JDF, Johnny Bosch Young, Catherine Sutherland, and Steve Cardenas have always done episodes for the fans and not for a financial aspect.

Damn! I loved watching the original show when i was kid. There was a special feeling to watching Power Rangers. As I grew older I lost interest in the newer generation. I remember watching the movie too. And knowing the white ranger has passed recently is sad. Only 49 years old. I look forward to the Netflix movie. Massive crush on Amy when I was a kid. Those days before when we had 100+ TV channels, in the UK we only had 4 TV channels. I remember waking up early as 6am in the morning just to watch the episodes.

Filming of such an episode takes about half a year at least so there is a chance JDF will have a scene. Amy Jo might be playing coy and is also a suprise scene. But I could totally be wrong. Although they kept the 3 spidermen under wraps pretty well.

What happened (and the same goes with Sarah Michelle Gellar who thought she was too good for "Buffy" and TV versus film) is decades go by, they realize the one show they had with a cult following is their claim to fame. Not a deterrent from being taken seriously as an A-list movie star. So then they kind of embrace their biggest success because with time, they realized it was the highlight of their career, not something in their past they had to pretend didn't happen if they became Oscar-winning stars, etc. Their snobbery towards "dorky fans" still exists though, even if they force themselves to be around them for money. (I knew both actresses firsthand because I work in TV/film and had friends who worked on both shows.)

She's also not the only actress to ever do this. There had been rumors for years that Tina Louise, who played Ginger Grant on 'Gilligan's Island', hated the show which is why she never appeared in any of the reunion films. However, she said in December 2020 that wasn't true at all. She really loved her character and was very grateful for the amount of fan mail she had received for many years. Despite not appearing in any of the reunion films, Louise did walk-on reunions with the cast of 'Gilligan's Island' on morning and late-night talk shows as well as the 2004 TV Land Awards. Considering the story is about Trini the Original Yellow Ranger's daughter becoming the new yellow ranger. Storyline wise it would make the most sense to have Kimberly there who was Trini's best friend.

I think it has to do with Catherine and the replacement cast members. If you look through the history, besides Jason David Frank and David including the 90's movie and the second season of og Power Rangers. You could even sense a vibe she wasn't interacting with the replacement members real well. She wasn't really that personally close with Karan Ashley, Steve Cardenas, and Johnny Yong Bosch. She has nothing against them personally besides Catherine. Plus the money were another issue.

@@KrisBryant99 That's what I had been gotten from her also since Power Rangers started. I sense some kind of aura that she was stuck up in the first season but she hid it better. When they were going through the second season, you could finally sense Amy was a bit open about it because Jason David Frank took over the lead of the show when Austin left. David Yost even explain about the behavior from his castmates once Thuy, Austin, and Walter left. He wasn't comfortable at all with Jason and Amy especially Jason takin over the lead. Hear what I look at it this way. JDF and Amy were more like preps and Austin, David, Thuy, and Walter were more like average outsiders. Amy used to talk down to David about his athletic skills including his acting and JDF used make some horrible jokes on him. They didn't do it as much when Walter and Austin was around because Austin used to make JDF get checked. But once half the original castmates left, it got out of hand for Yost. I don't know how Amy is now personally but I heard some negative story about her in the past especially from Yost.
@@philliplandry4139 Honestly any issue Yost had with PR likely had more to do with the background crew and not necessarily the actors. I've never heard him say anything bad about his fellow rangers except for the production crew. Now far as Amy and Frank go, I dont think Amy has ever liked JDF. Yes they were somewhat of a couple on screen but I never got that chemistry off. Even through Amy's fake tears that I consider to be fake. In fact I would go as far as to say that JDF likely never had any real allies on MMPR and that's likely due to the fact that he got the MOST attention on there.
@@philliplandry4139 Also to add, I think Thuy, Austin and Walter got fired because they had attitudes about JDF being the main lead so they likely demanded money and got canned as a result.
Now we’ll never sees them on screen again. Wish they could’ve teamed up one last time. Now Billy is gone and they’ll never be on screen with that chemistry again. 💔 very upsetting.
I was too grown when this show premiered but my oldest boy loves it at the time. I thought the concept was cool but the whole American/Japanese thing was too corny for me. I worked at KB Toys when the toys first hit the stands and remember everyone was trying to buy the Green Ranger stuff. It was insane watching them fly off the shelves.
I will check this out. I did like the 1st movie and I did have me a crush on Amy Jo. It's a shame she won't be in this and that Jason passed. I thought the whole Green/White Ranger thing was an interesting premise. I remember years ago a fan trailer was made that was geared more towards adults , with Katee Sackhoff. Would have loved to have seen something like that come to fruition. I'll definitely check this out though.

I meannnn...realistically whatever was offered to her is probably more than she could have made anywhere else in such a short period of time, it's not like she's out there getting work thrown at her. I feel like this was more of a pride thing, believing she deserved more, but she still could have gotten some fast buck by making an appearance and gained back some exposure which could have only helped with her future projects. All in all, weird move on her part.

Well, you have to factor that they probably weren't going to pay for her plane ticket to fly her down to New Zealand. That's one of the reasons certain former PR actors turned down the chance to reprise their roles for past team-up/anniversary specials.

I always wondered if AJJ and JDF actually slept together? Anyways... man the dude who played Zach ( black ranger) still looks young and pretty good for his age! AJJ still looks pretty good, but you can see her aging in the face. Yes when I found out JDF died, I started tearing up and getting emotional because Power Rangers was my childhood... I grew up on that Tv show ever since the early 90's. I would come home everyday after school to watch it on weekdays around 3pm or sometimes 4pm. Then would wake up early mornings on Saturday to watch it on Fox kids... then afterwards would go out to the mall on a Saturday morning or go play basketball with friends. So the point is... Power rangers is apart of me and my life. I was already heartbroken and sad when I found out Trini ( The original yellow ranger) died.. she died in September 2001 in a carwreck in SF, CA. I didn't find out she died until Jan 2006, and I remember I wrote brief letter praising her for the TV show and wishing her family well and rest in peace; I mailed the letter to the funeral home that her services were held at before her cremation!

Growing up me and my little brother loved power rangers and my mom bought us both power ranger Halloween costumes. She got me the red ranger and my little brother the pink ranger lol. My mom told me she thought the pink power ranger was a boy and that my little brother would be to young to notice…he noticed lol.
They had relations back in the day and probably dated as well. They kept that private Im assuming. But that’s why she’s not doing it because he’s gone.

@@MrLobo1024 JDF's movie Legend Of The White Dragon was still in production at the time when the Power Rangers special was filmed last year. He chose to not to be in it (Power Rangers), to do his movie (White Dragon) instead, but he died two months ago. So it's gonna be his last role.
