Next video will be addressing how to actually use these changes to help be more effective in combat. I needed to get this video out of the way as a foundation first. Thanks guys
Good video, now let's see why you put those windows that way in the next video. (using the windows). I understand mostly everything except Overview (how you use those individual tabs), as well as Fleet menu.
Good content, getting into pvp can be rough but if you join a large null sec corp get practice with standing squad get advice on skills/ships you can be winning outnumbered solo fights in no time. o7
Nice video - I'm curious about what you mean when you talk about adjusting the camera (hold RMB and drag to the left and scroll out) - when I do this, it offsets the focal point of my camera OFF of my ship.... am I doing something wrong? Seems counter-intuitive or maybe I am misunderstanding what you're saying. If you could add some detail about how you're adjusting your camera that would be super helpful. I would love to take advantage of this. Thanks!
Yeah no worries man. This part is super counter intuitive. So when you adjust the focal point off your ship, that's correct. Itll do that as a way to look around. When you let go it will reset back to normal. When you have the camera off set from the focal point (holding right click and dragging), that is when you scroll to zoom out (without letting go of right click). Then when you let go, the focal point will reset again but now the camera perspective will be zoomed out. Also, you can use this trick to zoom in on a ship to see what weapons they have or to look at your killer after you kill them 😉 If you still can't figure it out, you can join my discord and I'll be happy to help more.
@@3TEARS Awesome, thanks for the reply. I think I may have a setting that isn't letting my camera reset. It stays on the focal point - I'll check my in-game settings and see if I can figure it out. I did enable the CCP Logibro "Always Show Ship Labels" setting in my pre.ini - maybe that's causing an issue. That's another question I have too - I just downloaded the Custom Ship Labeler and I'm still trying to figure out how to get my settings all correct. Hopefully I can get my game configured to show all the relevant info I need in space. Also, do you have a link to your Discord? I'd love to chat about UI and stuff and pick your brain! Cheers!
Nevermind, I figured it out - I had "Tactical Camera" enabled instead of "Orbit Camera". That's why it wouldn't 'snap back'. I already had the view you were talking about. Also, I saw the link to your Discord. Would love to chat about Custom Ship Labels when you have some free time!
Ah yeah I definitely could see why some people only want ships on it. I like having structures and the gates on my main one so I can use them as align points quickly while kiting.
@@3TEARS yeah my main overview has structures and gates, but sometimes I find a clean overview useful and it can be nice for dscan in cluttered systems when you're just trying to see if anyone's around.

Saw this video in the EVE News app on Android. Awesome information!
Fantastic shit. Ive been playing on and off for years and I learned quite a few things. Keep it up!

Yep, will do soon! Just needed to get this one out of the way first
legend mate ty
Thanks. That was very helpful to me!
Dank, it's all in the ship's name ... Also, First.
How do keep those windows open and still see what's going on in space? Everything's covered up. I have a 24" monitor.
Thanks really helpful. One question where do i go to see loot or how do i put to also show loot in 4 for example? Sry noob here :)

this video was insanely helpful! Thank you! Your sub count is unfairly low
I haven't been making videos for a long time, so its been slowly rising :)
Well done. BZ

this is a game changer
Good luck out there
kewl I'll be using it :)
Great :)
I dont get why people prefere the old map, I´ve tried it and in my opinion is so much difficult to understand (especially for a new guy)
I feel like having an overview tab that only shows ships is very useful.
