Buy the vitavon gears for the diff on the Kraton. They make some hardened ones that should hold up better. That paired with the aluminum diff case and m2c out drives should make a bulletproof diff

Another awesome bash mate. Kraton is my main basher and just been upgrading it so am not as suprised as you that it jumps well :P no talion or XL though.. havn't blown a rear diff yet but might have soon if didn't change oil and find that the pin had broken into 3 pieces but was still mashed and holding onto the planatary\sun gear. I'm sure the new max6combo would have finished it off.. decided to put the arrma aluminum diff case I had for the the centre in the rear instead and ordered another.. will probaly do the front too... new motor made my dodgiest tire spew foam soo quick lol. gonna try badlands..
Have u seen the trick with using 2.25 drill blanks instead of those pins? saw it on Hardcore RC and made it a way tighter fit so no slop and play which i imagine would help
@@BarstoneRC Oh wow. Yeah I just got the Gpm rear outdrive cups after wreking a stock one. they look beefier but will see.. You mentioned having no diff probs on the XL. is that because the longer wheel base means less wheelie's so the presure is spread across the diffs more evenly? or something way differnt? was my only thought.. are they lsd? kinda want them but seem like more things to go wrong..
mannn i know the feeling. completely rebuilt my tekno with new bearings and ring/pinion/steel diff cases. not 10 mins into first run. the internal side input bearing totally exploded taking out the brand new r/p. big sad right now on my end.
Yeah it’s definitely be frustrating sometimes you think everything is good and ready to go and then you have some other oddball things breaking and causing all kinds of damage.
@@BarstoneRC ya you just never know haha. when it comes to diffs i guess now ill have to pull seals and check for grease in brand new bearings when rebuilding. ill never trust one again. a 2cent piece taking out 60$ in hardened gears and a gearbox case. it was all brand new :(

Yeah both of them suffered similar issues but I got them all fixed up and running again

Yeah I ordered a whole new differential for this thing should have it fixed up and running again here pretty quick.
Yeah I’ve used them before but it turns out it wasn’t the pin it actually sheared off the input cup right inside the diff LOL

They are the LSD differentials but I’m not sure why I don’t have issues with them to be honest with you it’s just held up a lot better
