100% I’m terrified of death. I was massively triggered yesterday when Eriksen collapsed on the pitch and needed CPR - i haven’t stopped thinking about it since. I have health anxiety and it’s a daily struggle not to contemplate every horrible way I might die. It’s awful, I know there’s nothing I can do about it and we’re all going to die someday but it’s hard. Thanks for your videos they always seem to pop up at the right time 🙏🏻

Lemon Wedge...wasn't that the worst thing? Omg...a top athlete, gone through all kinds of tests and boom...just collapsed and would have died if not for a very swift intervention. So, what about us? We are just biding time..it can happen to us too, at any moment. I guess we can react in two ways: One, total panic and paralysis. Life becomes just a constant worry about dying. Second, a feeling of liberation...since death is always so close, why not enjoy what little time we have?

Definately, nothing triggers me more than seeing top athletes collapse. Just got to remember, although it was live on TV and distressing to watch, it is a very rare occurence.
The flip side for me is, currently seeing my mum fade away with a terminal illness has made me think a sudden death (albeit terrifying to contemplate) might be a blessing.

Kind of hard to try when you have a demon in your head constantly putting you in a death simulator.

Wow, I am so grateful for this video, these are my thoughts exactly and I believe to be the deep roots of health anxiety. I too used to cry when I was little and realized mortality, gripped with fear my parents would die and leave me. I know it is morbid to think about, but I always said I would much rather get hit by a car and die instantly having know idea what happened, then get riddled with cancer or ALS (top health anxiety fears) and spend days withering away knowing my end is near while my loved ones live life around me. That thought alone sends me into a horrible mental spiral

I suffer terrible health anxiety. I've actually been to my gp this afternoon thinking I've got a blood clot in my leg.. I've had them before and I have symptoms. He checked me over and he said he is 99% sure that I don't have a clot and he wouldn't send me to hospital..... I'm sat crying my eyes out but this has jus made a lot of sense to me... I have noticed when ya distracted an ya doin something an not thinking about ya health or ya anxiety ya OK.. so surely if it was summit sinister u wouldn't be able to not think about it.... I'm agorophobic because of this.. thankyiu so so much for this video I'm subscribed to u.. x

Thank you for your videos it helps me a lot. I know my health anxiety is driven by fear of death. I used to be terrified of flying for the same reason but I managed to overcome it by positive self talk and taking several flights for work over a short period. For my fear of death I tell myself everything is born and everything dies which is the circle of life/nature. No matter how much money you have or famous you are we are all ultimately on the same path and will have the same fate, no one controls death. I often think if someone gave me the option to live forever would I be happy without my family, children watching them come and then go? The answer is no. This is how I accept death.

You're right, most people manage to filter it out, the difference in people with health anxiety is we are unable to control the awareness of our mortality on a daily basis. I'm saving up for cryonic suspension when the time comes, that's how scared of death I am.

@@cherellethinks Hi there I had to have anxiety and think about death all the time because death is around us all the time but a friend want to say that death is the best way out of this world of all things that we are going through in Jesus will deliver us and we will be in a better place than what we are now so in all what I’m saying is that we have a second chance to a place No anxiety no worries no hunger no war just peace with our maker so we can’t hide from death because as part of gods design and we have to except it and move forward until that day comes and we will never know when it comes

I also suffer from health anxiety and am very afraid of death. Especially now that I'm pregnant. I'm so afraid of getting sick (ALS, cancer etc.) and having to leave my partner and child alone. What comforts me sometimes is to realize the great appreciation for life that lies behind my fear of death. I want to live on because I want to be part of this world and my loved ones. That is actually beautiful. When I'm just afraid of death in general sens, it helps me to think that when I'm older I might have a different outlook on life. That being old and having lived a long life makes death more acceptable and maybe even comforting. We simply can't imagine that at this age. Of course this doesn't help when we've convinced ourselves that we're going to die early, but still.. Sorry for my english hope it makes sense.
@ Cherelle, thank you so much for your videos. You really helped me climb out of the 'ALS rabbit hole ❤

I am one of them who had sleepless nights because of anxiety of death…. But after watched your video somewhere i feel normal or trying to be normal .., no one is talking about this … I just tired of taking anti depression medicines , i just want to be normal like other peoples out there but I can’t 😒 I can’t focus on my works, study ..! Tired of visiting psychologist every month ! I am just tired of life ..! Anxiety is not letting me enjoy my life or whatever …! I am just tired of everything !!!

I love it when you upload videos, this one was particularly good as I often have that thought of wondering how people are walking around normal when we all know we are going to die, I also used to have the thoughts as a child of oh my gosh one day me and everyone I love will be gone, its such a horrible feeling but comforting I'm not the only one who thinks this way.
I spoke to you on facebook a while back, I'm also from Cardiff (Llanederyn) and I have two children similar ages to yours!

I do suffer with this fear of dying. But it’s more the process of dying or dying young etc or going to hell but knowing Jesus Christ is with me gives me some faith that I know will live for eternity as energy never dies I believe in the paranormal so there must be something on the otherside

All pathological anxiety is fear of death. The psychologist told me to seek a spiritual solution.

I think there's more to it than that. For example, I would consider myself a health anxiety sufferer, but honestly, the fear of death, or even a bad diagnosis doesn't bother me. What I get worked up about are medical procedures, especially intrusive ones that may cause pain. I think the fact that I build up fear around these gets me worked up about having symptoms that could lead me down the road of having to have one.

I have a large fear of death and cancer. As I’m currently battling my own health issues, I find it terrifying. Yet intriguing. But you’re right. We’re all giving a time and neither of us know when that’ll be. The only thing to do in life is to live. Because life is hell if you don’t. And then it’s wasted. It’s difficult to manage, especially me being so young. But it’s a reality and unfortunately, I will always get a little scared. But death is inevitable. Radical acceptance is key but also truly living is important.

I remember feeling like that too when I was a child I think I was 11 at the time and I kept thinking about death and I kept thinking I'm going to die soon or my Mother's going to die soon and I remember just siting on my bed thinking about it, it took me about a year after that to accept it but I still have those thoughts but very rarely now I just think to myself don't ever think about that just be glad and blessed that we're here and we've been given another day to live

That's is definitely amazing about how as human beings we absolutely will and can disagree on many topics except death and we know that one day we will perish and yet are blessed to just live.....now for me I havent really had much of an issue with death....well as far as having an anxiety over it but recently I loss my father lived with me for nine yrs and 6 months b4 that I loss my 27 yr old brother/only brother and amazingly after that I started washing the bodies of the deceased...then one day I started having chest pains which of course mad more more aware of my mine demise...and from there it turned into full blown health anxiety aka fearing death...truly it's like u can be sad If a loved one dies or maybe even fall into depression but it's truly different when u have to come to terms with your own!!! On top of that it's like ok u can gain knowledge about tough situations and by that I mean like maybe the pains of child birth freaks some women out or let's say having to get a tooth extracted because men will never experience that pain!!! It's like I can find thousand ppl tell u their experience but it's absolutely impossible to ask I dead person theirs....and I'm not speaking about the near death ppl because near death isnt death at all... for me I am a Muslim and I love my faith and my faith gives hope of attaining good after death however the process of my sould leaving my body and the pains that comes with that it's really deep for me to handle...I know my peace safety and salvation comes from turning to my Lord and that's what I will continue to do to achieve that peace until I return back to him...we have a saying in Islam which is from Allah we come and to Him we shall return.... enjoyed the video btw💞💞💞

After about a month it went away. I still seal with anxiety and it's symptoms but I don't think it's in relation to the meds I took for it. I also gradually tapered off of them because I stopped cold turkey at first and that's when things went very bad. So I got back on them then slowly for off. What is it that you feel ?
