Y'know what , that's a great idea , l can see an alternate scenario in which the Empires of Serbia & Bulgaria were to unite like Austria-Hungary was . I would like to see how would the south slavic languages were to evolve in such a timeline ? I can see a possibility of them being influenced more by Latin ; Greek and maybe even Hungarian , especially if the ottoman empire doesn't arise like in our own timeline , furthermore l can see this hypothetical empire replacing the Byzantine empire like how Charlemagne's Empire did to the western roman empire (if l didn't misremembered it) , and if this empire enters the lavant l can see it being influenced by Hebrew ; Aramaic & Arabic .
I'd hardly call a man who massacred his ethnic kinsmen after meeting them under false pretense "the great". His treatment of the Saxons is deplorable beyond measure
