So many reactors just say "wow that beat boxer is really good". Your expertise and talent on the topic provide so much more depth and insight. Thank you for educating us non beatboxers. You provide some of the best reactions I've seen. Hope all is well with your job. Take care
I really appreciate the demonstrations you give us. The camera never focuses on Adam (or Kevin) long enough for us to see what he's doing, but you give us a closeup demo. Thank you!
Definitely watch Adam Rupp's "Drum Solo". The first half is all drums, and the second half is DJ and other mixed sounds. Another excellent a cappella beat boxer is Layne from Voiceplay. ... Guy
Tim Foust the Base of the group actually does some of the beatboxing. The part where he looks like he’s spitting on Rob in front of the cloud scene backdrop so Adam can do the DJ mix
There's a point, when Adam is doing the scratching, Tim is doing the beatboxing and Chris is covering the bass line. All the guys in the group can beatbox, not to Adam's level, but they help cover when Adam is doing something else.
In the Sing Off (HF won season 4) Ben Folds commended Adam for great, restrained and appropriate use of percussion. Thanks for your great technical analysis !
He’s added more sounds to his arsenal since being in quarantine. And he uses them in the newer quarantine series of videos. They’ve been very creative since they are stuck in three different states around the country.
Oh Honey Please! You are amazing!!!! I have never seen anyone that explained the sounds of beatboxing in a way that I could understand. You are seriously brilliant. And, may I just add, gorgeous. I am seriously dumbstruck by you. Can't wait to see your next reaction .
Adam does not play drums... he does play trumpet. He's totally self taught but has been learning and perfecting since 2000. He keeps adding new sounds! Thanks!
I think he does play drums. I recall him saying at one time that he took them up to help his beatboxing skill. I don't think he's as proficient at them as he is with the trumpet, but enough to help add some additional authentic vibe to his beatbox performance. (if we rely on Wikipedia's wisdom, he also can play piano and bass guitar)
Adam knows how to play drums enough to mimic drumming in his beatbox solo. His mother says he is most excellent in playing bass guitar. He majored in trumpet playing. I believe he can play any instrument he picks up😄
I've been binging peoples reactions to Home Free and its super cool to see an analysis from the Beatboxer perspective. I see a lot of singers and voice coaches, but this is new and I love it.
I loved your analysis! Thank you for pointing out all those different techniques Adam uses. You are one of a kind reactor. Looking forward to more Home Free videos where you concentrate specially on beatboxing! Maybe Fishing In The Dark/Boondocks and Elvira..
Love it! I’ve mentioned before but it has been a long time. If you really like what Adam Rupp does, you should check out a video of him live drum solo.
Glad to see that you're back! You have such a nice smile, it was great to see you laugh and have fun :] And as always, it was enjoyable watching you dissect and shine a light on their beatboxing techniques. Thanks for reacting!
Yes, please be sure to watch Adm Rupp do a full demo solo of his talents. Incredible. During each live show he does 7-9 mins by himself to show what he can do with just that voice of his! The crowd goes crazy and you leave shaking your head. Seen six live shows, still am shocked what he can do! (By the way, you sound great and give great demos! Like it. Thanks.) Take care.
I'm so glad I stumbled on your channel! I used to play piano and sing (a little). But I don't know anything about drums or beatboxing. I just think "that's cool". I appreciate the demonstrations and easy explanations you give. And there's nothing wrong with your English. I understood you perfectly. ❤️❤️❤️
Welcome back, Xureck. Glad to see you again. Don't worry about the times when you have to take off for a while for work, man. We'll still be here when you come back. As always I love listening to you discuss technique. It gives such an insight into what the beatboxer, and perhapse then entire group, is thinking when arranging a song. And, it gives it to us from a perspective we don't get anywhere else. Thank you for doing these reactions and analysis for us. Keep doing you, Xureck, and stay safe and healthy.
I loved this video of yours. Ive seen lots of react style videos recently and they all pretty much focus on the vocals - it is so so cool and refreshing to hear the perspective of a beatboxer on the beatboxing. Love it!
Hey dude good to see you back and two more Home Free songs that you should check out on the beatboxing - Some Girls Do & Mayday....Adam Rupp the beatboxer just SHINES !
I enjoyed your breakdown of what was going on here so much, I had to go find the other one and watch it again. And I'm looking forward to your next Home Free video. Thanks! ^_^
Oh wow, Thanks for breaking the sounds down. Huge fan of HOMEFREE but never could figure out how Adam does it. It was very interesting that you picked it out and showed us the technique. THANKS Looking forward to more
You owe us no explanation. Just glad to see you back. So welcome back friend. There are so many things I would love to see you react. So pick what you like I'm here for the ride.
Beatboxer here is very different from Kevin in Pentatonix. I think Adam is extremely good with the whole drum set sound. He also has number of other skills for various sounds such as a harmonica. React to Adam Rupp beatbox solo on youtube.
I think that when it comes to comparing Kevin and Adam, they are each the best in their respective genres. Kevin does hip hop, pop, and dubstep type beats, while Adam tends to stick to the drum kit and other acoustic sounds. If you compare each of them to just a drum kit, Adam sounds damn near identical.
You are the 1st reactor that I've watched that explained how some of the beat sounds are made. Very interesting and I really appreciated the educational approach. Thank you!
Home Free has a live video of 9 to 5 (a Dolly Parton cover) where the whole group does a beatbox breakdown. They are all extremely multi talented ❤️ Here is the link to a better quality video of it. I hope you enjoy! ruclips.net/video/Tj8dej3CdIU/видео.html
I know these tracks by heart, but you always make me look at them in a new way. Thank you also for mixing the audio to bring out the beatboxing more, it really helps us hear what you are talking about.
Really nice to see a reactor who happens to know what's going on in Adam's throat😁. Thanks for breaking it down so that ordinary folk like me can better appreciate and enjoy the beauty of and technique involved in beatboxing. I'm definitely going to subscribe to your channel. Gracias
Glad to see you back! Great reaction. I know so little about the technique of beatboxing, that’s awesome to hear you explain it and how these amazing gentlemen are able to produce those sounds. I still love Kevin the most, but you have to give Adam big props.
Senor Xureck....bienvenidos atras (welcome back?). That is my poor Spanish skills. So awesome to see you again. This is such a funny Home Free cover and it has many forms of beat boxing in it. Good review from you as always. And your hair still looks so interesting and cool. I think you would really appreciate Kevin's beat boxing in Pentatonix's cover of "Can't Hold Us." Take care. 😀😀
this is the first video I've seen of yours and def subbing, I love the beat boxing in Home Free + Voiceplay (+ of course Pentatonix) but I don't know what the hell they're doing. so this was super fun and interesting. if you're interested in doing a reaction/analysis to adam's drum solo, you should, try to find the most recent one you can though cause its constantly evolving! they also can all beatbox to some level, they do a bit in their liveshow where they're all beatboxing - i think it's during their cover of 9 to 5.
Hi Susan! I´ve already checked Man of constant sorrow. It was one of my very first videos. I enjoyed so much that song, even though my video wasn´t the best. But i loved it! :3
@@Xureck23 as soon as I responded and suggested it, I saw it on your video list...and have watched several MORE as well. I teach a community college music appreciation class and give my students lots of examples if great channels to follow. I plan to add yours to the list because you give really good points (and examples) from a beatboxer's perspective. Thx!!
You really should check out one of Adam Rupps beatbox solo videos in concert. He could run an entire dance club by himself. He has a drum set in his throat. :)
You should check out the video they just dropped a couple of weeks ago. It's a Johnny Cash cover of "Folsom Prison Blues". He's beatboxing himself silly in that one too!
Xureck, as many said in comments below, thanks for sharing how some of this is done. One of the more informative (and interesting) reactions I've ever seen. If you'd really like some diff. sounds (and dynamics) all within a short space, you should check out Adam's work in Ring of Fire: ruclips.net/video/0l3dsHCScxU/видео.html Some superb vocal percussion in there, and I'd love to see you show us how some of it is done. Thanks! PS Somebody below mentioned Elvira. They're right: Adam does some beautiful vocal percussion on that piece as well: ruclips.net/video/Wgm9gZs1hYw/видео.html
In the "Baby Got Back" portion, Tim Faust was the beatboxer so that Adam could do the scratching. And Tim is busy spitting all over Rob. I learned this from Adam's brother Chris Rupp, who did a video about the making of this song/video.
A little trivia - the high hat part that you are talking about (Baby Got Back) is not Adam beatboxing - it is Tim, the bass singer. Check out Chris Rupp's reaction where he explains some of the behind-the-scenes

Yes. I really liked this analysis and would love one of Layne. Very interesting to hear it from the perspective of an other beat boxer👍🏼
Yesss!!! Incredible!
Chris Rupp just analysed this video, and said that during the time when Adam was scratching, Tim (their bass) was actually doing that speed snare!
Tim Foust the Base of the group actually does some of the beatboxing. The part where he looks like he’s spitting on Rob in front of the cloud scene backdrop so Adam can do the DJ mix
Adam arranged “Do you hear what I hear”, so check it out. His percussion takes a bigger role in the song.
There's a point, when Adam is doing the scratching, Tim is doing the beatboxing and Chris is covering the bass line. All the guys in the group can beatbox, not to Adam's level, but they help cover when Adam is doing something else.
yea Adam taught Tim the beats so they could do the song on-stage without any pauses or breaks.
In the Sing Off (HF won season 4) Ben Folds commended Adam for great, restrained and appropriate use of percussion.
Thanks for your great technical analysis !
Check out Home Free's "Man of Constant Sorrow" for their coolest effect. You'll know it when you see it.
He did that already.
What a GOLDEN opportunity to hear a Beatboxer's Pro analysis - THANK YOU for your insights & demo's. LOVED it.

Great reaction, very informative. Adam Rupp is a beast and you are correct that this group is extremely versatile and fun.
Adam won world champ beatboxer two years in a row. Adam also played trumpet most of his life. That helps him with his crisp clean sound.
Love it!

there is a video of their 9 to five cover where all members beat box. it's the "9 to 5 beat box beat down" or something like that.
