This kind of video is super helpful because it's something to go apply now instead of seeing you catch 'em one way and then realizing that you were out 2 weeks ago and that technique may not be as applicable aster the weather has changed or the season, etc. Appreciate it!!
My 5 for fall 1. Walkers 2. Poppers 3. Jerk 4. Mid to deep cranks 5. Spinnerbaits A jig and a spybait is always tied on. Those 5 are my fall bank busters.
Great video. Two other baits I throw in addition are a flatside crank and a 1/0-2/0 free rig. The xzone ned zone is hands down the best all round NED bait. I use it on my pitch and swim jigs, spinnerbaits, free rig, drop shot, Texas rig.
Thanks Debo! Great video. We are without power this morning, and have a lot to clean up after getting hit with another hurricane. I'm loving the Rebel crickhopper poppers, I got from your giveaway! I just got a new Karashi (white butterfly 🦋) yesterday. Of course with Helene hitting us, not sure when I'll get the chance to try it. Hoping they restore the power soon, it took 9 days after Idalia, and 5 days, after Debbie. We have a ton of downed huge limbs, and the tin roof pretty much completely ripped off the pole barn......FishOn.....Jim
Oh now I have to narrow it down to 5 🙂 1. Ned Rig (yea I am a Ned Rig Nerd) 2. Jig 3. Texas rig craw 4. Spinner bait (not inline) 5. Underspin/weighted EWG hook with a paddle tail or creature bait. I have been walking the Root river for over a month and i use a ned rig almost exclusively with a paddle tail from @MuleFishing 1/32 or a 1/16 oz head and a Donkey Tail.
Great Vid Debo! I'm surprised that the OG spinnerbait didn't make your top five! LoL I get it you definitely need to go finesse when fishing public lakes. That overspin and underspin are killers...
Omgeezy! 14lb. Trilene XL ! If everyone, especially beginners used it, it's great! No hassle, no problems, screw braid on baitcasters, no leader tying! Love it, all I use😅
Debo!! Man i started watching you a almost 4 years ago, maybe longer.. glad to see youre still killing it. Its rare i have time to watch youtube these days.. Keep up the great work brother
Phenomenal presentation as usual Debo keep up the great work. I can’t wait to get out next week the smallies having been on 🔥 where I’m at. I’m gonna always pick top water as my favorite, that bite is just to good !!! Tight lines bro !!
As a bank angler, I have to agree with you about the EWG ned rig. I have more success with that one, compared to the non EWG ned heads. The lure I want to try is the Thunderhawk Poppa Walka. Looks cool, and helps support small/local businesses too. The flashy swimmer has been my go to underspin using an Xzone Swammer trailer. Thanks Debo!!
I enjoy using TNT 🧨 as my fall bait. That tends to stun the fish just right! 😂 JK!!! I like using the Ned rig and spinnerbaits. Ned ?like you stated) works well for the bottom feeder bass. The spinnerbait works well for the middle of the road column up to just below the surface. They are chasing bait so these tend to work for me in the fall. Thanks for another amazing video!
Dude, ive got this hidden gem of a lake, all my PBs have been caught here over this past summer. This lake produces 7 pound largies and 50 inch muskies and these fish are extremely aggressive but over the past month the bite has come to a complete stop. I cant get bit on a senko, fishing it all day long and not even a bite! This has got me freakin screamin inside, friends at work are completely oblivious to my struggles!
I'm only confident in 5 lures. But I'd start with a spinnerbait and underspin in the fall. Usually I don't need to try anything else 😅 If they fail I'd try the jerkbait.
@debos fishing I run straight braid on my top water and add some superglue to 6 to 8 inches of the braid to stiffen it up so it won't get caught on the trebles when working the bait
It's always interesting seeing others top 5 list's, your 2 and 3 would not make my 9 or 10 list ! I have not thrown a Jerkbait or Lipless Crank ! have a box full of each, some pricey, but have zero cofidence, pretty sure I could toss them in without tying them on, and acieve the same effect. 🤪😜 Thanks Devon for the video, loved it.
this comment is for my broke, non-gearhead, old school brothers. been fishing the northeast on a shoestring budget the last 2 months, (i spent $400 and got a 14' aluminum boat with a 15hp merc 4 stroke, and a trailer. I couldn't pass up a $2500 package for $400, the motor alone is worth double that. huge shoutout to my neighbor for letting the mice and trees have it the past 5 years.) and i've been consistently catching 2-4lb largemouth fishing in 6-10 ft of water (4-8 ft of grass) right on the edge of lily pads. the bait that's done the best has been a 6" or 7"? powerbait powerworm, black, weightless, on a 4/0 worm hook. toss it up to the edge of the pads and let it do all the work. after 15 seconds if my line doesnt take off i pull up about a foot and let it sink again. after 2-3 pullups i'll recast, working my way around the entire pond/lake. rod is a 6'6" medium action ugly stik from 10-15 years ago (i have multiple) with either a shakespeare or daiwa spinning reel (from other broken walmart combos.) 10 lb trilene xt in green. old school as it gets. sometimes i"ll throw a frog as a search and then toss that worm right on their head, works almost every time.
The top spin has been hitting for me, but that wire is not very durable. Couple bass and it's gone for me...pretty expensive bait if it only lasts a couple bass. Then it just turns into a jig head.
Debo.. As always great information on all your videos. I've been watching all your videos for a long time now and I've really learned a lot I'm still pretty new to fishing so keep up the great information. Also what do you think about the Academy brand (H20X) stuff? And until next time... Keep up the good work..
I want to see Debo review the Walmart brand soft plastics! It’s the ozark trail brand but they are cheap and seem to be decent quality. They even have a stick worm and a few good shapes
@@brucenichols9206 that makes sense because one of them I know is just a knockoff because it’s the same bait but cheaper. But they definitely have some unique ones like the stick worm because it’s like a pocket rocket from Reaction innovation. Can’t speak for the other baits though because I’ve only seen the craw, stickworm, and swimbait. There’s a curly tail worm and a creature bait as well as a fluke but idk when I’ll get them

The lipless is soooo underrated!! My boy pat fishes them all the time and kills!

1. Walkers
2. Poppers
3. Jerk
4. Mid to deep cranks
5. Spinnerbaits
A jig and a spybait is always tied on. Those 5 are my fall bank busters.
All solid picks. I can't argue that why are wrong or that is rather use this over that. The ned and the jerkbait are my go to.

Have you tried the bass pro shops xps staredown Jerkbaits? I heard they are like a copy of the mega bass.
