The Aegean Sea has always been known as a sea of particular importance. As a marine route, it has contributed to the exchange of ideas and goods, while also to the development of Mediterranean civilizations.

So the briny deep, the hals (άλς), became a route (πόντος, pontos) and a crossing (πόρος, poros). The role of the islands in this transformation was seminal and substantial.

Swastika-type designs on the peplos of an Archaic kore, Acropolis Museum. The intersections of lines defining a solid repeated motif on the edge of a depicted piece of cloth resemble a swastika.

The unifying role of the Aegean Sea seems to have begun long before the inhabitants of the region adopted the Neolithic economy of agriculture and animal husbandry. The first use of Melian obsidian by inhabitants of the Argolid goes back to at least the 9th millennium BC, as the finds from Franchthi Cave in Ermionida attest

The name usually given to the swastika in classical contexts of the West is the Greek key.

    - It has come to be almost a proverb in scientific investigation that we argue from the known to the unknown. We might argue from this proverb in favor of the migration of the Swastika symbol and its passage from one people to another by the illustration of the Greek fret, we might extend the illustration to all Greek architecture. It is a well-known fact.

In the Western world, the symbol experienced a resurgence following the archaeological work in the late 19th century of Heinrich Schliemann, who discovered the symbol in the site of ancient Troy and associated it with the ancient migrations of Proto-Greeeks.

. A swastika border is one form of meander, and the individual swastikas in such a border are sometimes called Greek keys.[SWASTIKA IS A GREEK CREATION SINCE THE DAWN OF TIME!]

There are numberless historic evidences, that the Greek architecture of ancient times migrated --- that is, passed by communication and contact of peoples, and by transfer of knowledge form one man to another, and from one generation to the succeeding generation, until it became known throughout all countries of the world!

The Nazi swastika refers to the Greek swastikas, often used in decorations, usually as long rows of interconnected decorative elements, and to these alone. It's a claim on a symbol that they perceived to incorporate their ideals of classic "superiority" of a "pure race"

ARCHAEOLOGISTS ventured the suggestion that fully ten centuries before the great Trojan war, the coast of the Aegean had been inhabited by a mysterious Greek race of men who in many ways had been the superiors Greek tribes who were god-like giants, who in very olden days had built the greatest civilization ever!

SWASTIKA :The word swastika is derived from the Greek ευ-, eu-), meaning "good, well" and asti, a verbal abstract to the root as "to be" (cognate with the Romance copula, coming ultimately from the Proto-Greek root *h1es-); svasti thus means "well-being.,,,it's also called gammadion (from Greek γαμμάδιον).
