    G. Bottesini: Capriccio di bravura for double bass and piano
    Abstract:
Professor Levinson focuses on introducing of the Capricio to comment on fingerings and shiftings that can improve the phrasing. They work natural positions of the fingers that do not generate tension in the hand and wrist, specifically, they work the position of the thumb. Levinson talks about the added difficulty of the double bass having such a long fingerboard and such enormous distances between tones. All our study must tend to facilitate these movements in a natural way in order to achieve an adequate tuning.
