    Teacher Mike . I am the guy who encouraged you talk about this topic. It is so funny because the confusion for us Spanish speakers is regarding do / does + ever. It is Not really a confusion but ever with the other tenses ( not with present simple) is very transparent but ever with do/ does (present simple) totally makes a change to the sentence. Previous to your explanation I had already asked another person about this topic. But Thanks for your explanation, now I kind of understand the connotation of ever in simple present questions. Byebye thanks a lot. You made my day choosing a topic I asked about and how fast you uploaded it :).

    Thanks a lot for reminding me of this topic- using EVER in different times!
    1. Do you ever cook Thai dishes?
    2. Will you ever be ready to change your behavior?
    3. Have you ever cooked Polish dishes?

    Hello Teacher Mike.Thank you so much for your lessons.For this topic,I've never known before about the difference of using "ever" in each tense.I am confused between "do you ever "and" have you ever" . Can I use it interchangeably some times? Thank you.

    • @TeacherMikeEnglish
      @TeacherMikeEnglish  2 года назад +1

      "Do you ever" is about the present. "Have you ever" is about one or more times in your whole life up until today.

    Can we use the word "ever" on a positive sentence using present simple tense?

    • @TeacherMikeEnglish
      @TeacherMikeEnglish  3 месяца назад +1

      The only situation I can think of is if you use "If + subject + ever..."
      For example: If I ever see him again...

    Teacher, I have seen, especially in some songs, phrases like "I will love you for always" instead of forever. I would like to ask you about the usage of "for always". Is it the same thing as "forever" in this case ? Thank you, Sir.

      I've never seen or heard that before. It's possible that they do that to make it sound more romantic/dramatic.
