    I have 60K on my 2018 diesel. Lots of hard off-roading and it's my daily driver. I've had zero issues with my truck. I have the Alpha Command wheels also, they're a +20 offset.

      I also have a 2018 diesel with 43k miles. Under warranty I had 2 shocks replaced but no other issues. But I tuned it and that was well worth it.

    Trans flush should be warranty up to 5/50K power train warranty. My 17 has been extremely reliable, Peak, Deaver, shock relocation, Trifecta, 33's and 4.10s. Love this truck. Great video.

    Great video review at 50K. Your videos were one of the reasons I bought my 2021 ZR2 Gas. I ended up trading it (insane used car prices) and got a 2022 ZR2 Bison Diesel.
    I've looked at the BDS and I think the optimal approach is the high mark flares with the peak coils and add a leafs and 35"s. Just my .02.
    Enjoy the ride and best of luck with the new family edition!

      I really had a hard time deciding on gas vs diesel but these gas engines tuned are super strong. Honestly I think the weakest link here is the trans. If you get a gas version be sure and go with a trifecta tune. I have my AFM turned off and the trans has a “sport mode” on all the time. Makes the driving experience so much better.

    Yes 3M tape works great as long as the contact surfaces are nice and clean. That's what I used to put my flares on Sonoma crew cab. 😂 BTW coming to the Smokies for Christmas this year can't wait!!! Keep in mind once you go 35 inch tires probably going to suck a lot more gas LOL there's times I wish I would have left my truck lower to the ground so it would be more roadworthy. But yes it will look awesome I already figured you were going to do it LOL 😂

    That was great 50K review on your truck. I've got a 2020 ZR2 and I put rear shock skids on it and a rear differential skid plate. I noticed that you said you went through you firewall to hook up something. I'm a ham radio operator and wanted to run my mobile vhf/uhf radio's power cord to the battery, but I couldn't find a safe spot through the firewall for it. Where did you go through the firewall for your connection? Any information will help me alot.

      I actaully went through the firewall where the clutch pedal / master-cylinder would bolt to. If you remove that bottom panel there is a pocket stamped perfectly for a place to run wires.

    My Colorado fishtails on rough pavement and dirt roads. Also has some kind of noise from the rear passenger side. Anyone else have this issue? Is it the shocks? The truck has about 62 k on it. Took it in and the service department said nothing was wrong. I think they just didn't want to dish out the warranty.

    • @DAGOLFER34
      @DAGOLFER34  2 года назад +1

      My truck will slide on wet pavement. These smaller midsize trucks will do that since there isn’t much weight in the back. Trust me it can’t be as bad as driving a single cab 2WD s10 in the rain 🤣. I’m 99% sure your truck it fine. If the shocks start leaking then you have problems.

      Nicholas, what year model did you drive at the dealership? If the new Colorado trucks still have a shudder in 2021 it's utterly unacceptable and means GMNA (GM North America) is a joke. These Isuzu trucks built in the Rayong, Thailand plant run forever, are loaded way overweight and driven hard but keep on ticking year in year out. I don't know how GM managed to make the US units screw up. I admit the Isuzu / Colorado /Dmax units I've been around are right hand drive w/manual not 8spd auto. I like the proven, ultra durable, long lasting engine but I'm leery of the US units after seeing these posts on RUclips about Colorado's drivetrain issues. Have you heard of any 2020 or newer having these ludicrous issues with the drivetrain? The Colorado I looked at the other day in Phoenix had a 6spd/2.8 diesel, not the 8 spd, makes me wonder if GM is working on the problematic 8 spd trans. GM and Ford co-developed transmissions some years back but build them in their own separate plants, GM has QC problems, Ford not so much. I want the Colorado ZR2 and almost ordered one before Christmas '21 just now but am hearing about problems with brand new GM trucks. It seems hard to imagine they can be F'd up here because in SE Asia these bullet proof crates run and run with tons of miles on them, nothing breaking, just totally reliable. They're the perfect nice size, great mpg and just right for here in the US as an off road camper unit, would like to know if GM has managed to correct premature failures by now now or if not it's a pathetic waste and rules the Colorado out.
