nice job with the old Time covers. Enjoyed the ride - very nicely paced with the good music. That bridge is something else. I drove across the old version in 1988. Last time there.
I was looking at that image of those old overhead signs leading into the MacArthur Maze and looked at the obvious patchwork to cover the old routes and this is what they are, for those who aren't in the know: The left sign, the one directing traffic to San Francisco, was both US-40 and US-50. The one on the right, had Eastbound US-40 and Northbound CA-17 (prior to 1984). The I-580 part covered that, even the NORTH was covered up with WEST. those signs definitely dated back to the early 1960's, too bad they are gone now.
Very nice ride! Had the time to sit through the vid and I love it! San Francisco has awesome highways- loved the stack- loved the bridge- cannot ever get sick of seeing the Bay Bridge- as it is an icon to me like the Golden Gate is... very nice ride- and great Lenny Kravitz sound track! I have always wanted to cruise the Bay Bridge, see it- and soak it all in! Thanks for a great ride!
Thanks for another great ride, Jim. Interesting that you pointed out the Rockridge BART station but named the line and not the station. And, great title for the date.
Great video as always. I've not been to a lot of places you've been but I've been to the Bay Area. I love that place. San Francisco is the most beautiful city I've ever seen. Can't wait for the Golden Gate vid. I was there watching the video and thinking okay I've seen Nimitz and MacArthur where's Ike? It seemed like there was a theme. I was not disappointed. Fun but always educational. You rock !
Your record for superb videos, continue to climb higher and higher! Your passion for what you do really shines, and gives viewers like me a wonderful sensation of your driving experience. (GVJ)
I-980 may be a short route but it proved to be a double blessing after the Cypress Structure double-decker collapsed on I-880 in the Loma Prieta Earthquake. They would've been screwed for a very long time without I-980. Similarly, MN-280 saved the day up here in Minnesota when the 35W bridge collapsed.
Lambs noticed at 4:05, the speed limit is 65, not the 55 that your annotation states. Great work regardless and lambs really dig the Lenny Kravitz soundtrack
+Freewayjim Liked the music and the video & do you think that Oakland Bay Bridge got repainted? Back then from your old videos it used to be green & now it's gray or silver. Have a blessed day Freewayjim & make sure you answer that question.
when you showed the 2015 Google maps, saw a ton of RED lines, and if I remember correctly, seeing red line on this means NOT GOOD..LOL like very Heavy traffic, or maybe even something else, know about the little construction symbols, to put it plainly, what you want to see on these maps are all GREEN lines, not red..LOL
+bammybound You have to remember other things go into play with these videos like tempo, length, the breaks and where they are in conjunction to the footage, it's not always easy finding a song that works.
I think the whole San Francisco places scenics are so goods goods , so goods beautiful, so goods comfortable and so goods big, and so goods wides. I think the alongside roads places scenics are so goods goods, so goods beautiful, so goods comfortable and so goods big, and so goods wides. I think the alongside roads places all trees are so goods goods and so goods beautiful. I think the alongside roads places climates are so goods goods. I think the alongside roads places airs are so goods to fresh airs. I think the alongside roads environment are so goods comfortable. I can able be to the awersomes for it. I am to glads to it. I think are so goods values the delights or wows and praises for it. I love to it. I think are most favorites to it. Thank you for sharing thank you so much that’s right all right ok no problems me too see you soon see you later good luck good job you are welcome.

Looking at the new Bay Bridge never gets old!

+cjs121675 Thanks, I think the Bay Bridge, all things considered, is the #1 bridge in America, hope you get to see it one day.
San Fran and Seattle are just lush!!! Nice job!
+D Jazz Thanks!
Lambs concur with this statement.
Thanks for another great ride, Jim. Interesting that you pointed out the Rockridge BART station but named the line and not the station. And, great title for the date.
+ca2fla Thanks! Not sure it really matters either way with the BART line/station.
Nope, it doesn't matter, it's just one of my old haunts from college.

+Rohan Scott Thanks Rohan, I really appreciate that, glad you enjoyed it.

+michael patrusevich Thank you!

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for continuing onto the city streets at the end. I always like a mix of freeway and smaller roads.
+MKT Transport Video You'll get a lot more of the city streets Next Monday, thanks.
+MKT Transport Video The next two videos in fact, wait until you see Sausalito.

I always enjoy all your videos thank you keep m coming
+Shaunda Scott Thank you for the comment and for watching!
As always, Jim, you're videos are great.
+JJNYCguy Thank you for watching!
Dropping off the bridge and into the city was a great way to finish. And Kiss My Ass is a terrific collection of KISS covers.
+Ross Elliot Thank you, and yes it is!
Awesome as always!
+cagedtigersteve Thank you!
Nice, I like the cover of Deuce, I hadn't heard that one. Yeah those were some crazy interchange entrances/exits.
+Trans Canada Phil Thanks Phil!
You just can't resist the new Bay Bridge can you? lol great video
+Multiblue Blanket I wanted to make sure I got it in both directions day and night :) Thanks!
Great choices of music as always!
+Rajiblaze Thank you!
7:05 Double suspension? I see FOUR towers. . .Anyways, great video, Jim!
+benlonghighway Two Towers make up one suspension bridge, look at 7:15, that is the man-made anchor base that connects the two bridges. Thanks.
Yes, a double suspension bridge.
Great video as always, bro.
+PelicanGuy Thanks, much appreciated!
2:09 what an interchange
2:02

+Upeedina Lamb Thanks, good catch.
+Freewayjim lambs have bad eyes but this iPhone 6s+ does help us with seeing things.
Like
Is this bridge different from the Carquinez bridge? Great video as always!
+Vinodh Daniel Very different, thanks...I suggest you look them both up on Google for more details.
I see what you did there, uploading this particular video and entitling it the way you did on Pearl Harbor Day.
A+
+countenanceblog Thanks :)
Thanks!
When will the season finale be posted?
+AJTLfilms Video #15-43 at the end of February 2016. It will be 38 minutes long.

Justin Hundley i think it has been all gray
but i don't know yet.
+Justin Hundley Thanks Justin, it's always been gray, it could be how the light was hitting it in previous videos.
Another awesome video, I just clicked on the like button, you deserve a like from me:)
+acfhs2010 Thank you!
kool jam😎
awesome job thanks eh
+mrtequilashooter Thnak you!
You know what’s funny this is the first video I’ve ever seen that you went on a high interchange
I've been on plenty before this.
Ho which one was the biggest ramp you’ve on
@@lpha5324 Probably The High Five in Dallas.
How high was it I’ll watch the video later
Jesus Christ that was big I’m in shock I have another question what was the biggest ramp you’ve been in colorado one of my biggest questions

+Andrew Silva When I snapped the Google Maps route for the video while I was putting it together it was rush hour out there, yes red is bad.
No disrespect to your choice of music but Lenny's cover of "Deuce" is awful. I have the tribute album.
+bammybound I personally like it, but that's OK, there isn't a song out there that 100% of humanity will like.
+bammybound You have to remember other things go into play with these videos like tempo, length, the breaks and where they are in conjunction to the footage, it's not always easy finding a song that works.
Perfect ride for Pearl Harbor day
+Edward Kollin Thank you!
