**disclaimer: this is my first time doing this kind of video, so the camera angle & music may have been a little bit off...
honestly, this video wasn't easy but i hope you can actually follow along & end up with a cute bucket hat!!

I just finished my hat! Turned out small but honestly I love it either way it’s my first biggish project and I’m so happy how it turned out. I’m gonna make another one with a bigger top so it can actually fit me 😊

I'm a bit new to these things, I follow all your instructions, but I don't know why mine turns out like a bowl, it's not flat and I don't know what I'm doing wrong.
it also happened to me but i figured out it was bc I single stitched the first round right after the loop. When I changed to 2 sc in each stitch, I got a nice flat circle. But I think after a few rounds you have to sc in every stitch, otherwise it's gonna turn into a flower shape (been there, done that)

First time in crocheting he he, when u finished the 6sc plus increase u measured 10cm mine didn't reach I was planning to add the same pattern until it reaches 10, is it okay though? Would it be a problem on the next pattern and counts huhu. I really want to make one :3

what do you mean "extra row" at 10:10 ? Is it different with "regular row"?
it's the same as a regular row. So I did a total of 3 "regular rows", after doing "6 sc, increase..." Hope that made sense :)

Yup, I think each round's supposed to end with an increase. Maybe you just missed/misplaced an increase in round 8. You can try double-checking your sc's in round 8 so you won't have to repeat from the start! :)

It mean that you have to repeat it, like, increase, regular, increase, regular, increase, regular, to make it as big as u like

On round four, when u say 2 stitch than an increase in the third stitch, do u mean first time do 2 stitches than go up to three than keep alternating?
ah no, you do 2 single crochets, then an increase. in simpler terms: do 1 single crochet, another single crochet, then 2 single crochet in the next stitch (which is the third stitch :) *2 single crochet in the same stitch = "increase!!"*

adorabelle an increase is 2 stitches into the same stitch so I’m guessing that you do 6 increase rows then you just do 2 normal rows which is one stitch into every stitch

they mean you do six singe crochets, and then increase (putting two stitches/sc in one loop) and then repeating that process until you have gotten to the stitch marker, or have gotten to the amount of stitches you need to carry on.
and then doing 2 rows without any increases. (normal sc)

Hey I am an amateur crocheter as well, but I will try and explain what increasing is, hopefully you understand it. 😅
3 sc and increase means that you will do 1 single crochet in the first stitch and then 1 single crochet in the second stitch and 1 single crochet in the this stitch, but in the fourth stitch you will do 2 single crochet in the same one (this is the increase) and similarly for 4sc and increase, you will do 4 individual stitch and then on the 5th one you will do 2 that's the increase.

when you say "increase, regular row" do you mean like one whole round of 7sc, inc and then the next round just one sc in each stitch OR do you mean in one round you do 7sc, inc only once and the rest of the round is regular just one sc in each stitch?? sorry if my wording doesn't make any sense lol

i'm trying to knit this beautiful hat but i don't know what i'm doing wrong :((( my top of the hat with every row becomes more and more wavy(?). Is it supposed to be like that? your seems straight, i did 7 stitches first, then one row of double stitches, and then 1 single stitch and the rest of the circle double stitches, then 2 single stitches and the rest of the circle double stitches and so on, so i tink i followed the tutorial. Is there any advice you could give me or tell me what i'm doing wrong?

When u said 3sc then increase means on the 4th stitch make 2 single crochet then on the 5th stitch do a single crochet or 2 single crochet?
Single crochet for the 5th,6th,7th stitch then 2sc in the 8th stitch then repeat;)
So it will be 1-1-1-2-1-1-1-2...
