    Can you also do this with straight needles? And is it just the exact same instructions?

  • @lesleyannemacdonald401
    @lesleyannemacdonald401 2 года назад

    I tried this on straight needles but I always had the cross over bit on the pearl side and ended up with a very large, and noticeable I think, first stitch from the cable hook. I am not skilled enough to adapt the pattern so I have gone back to the circular needle. I also knit from the cable hook without passing the stitches back to the knitting needle which works better for me but I do love the simplicity of this pattern, thank you.

    Hi Ruby, Thankyou for your insturctions. Which are excellent and so easy to work to.
    I've knitted boots, and cardi to newborn insturction but i have loose tension so they've come out for next size up. However, i've done the hat and it's too small to go with the rest...I don't want to upsize by changing the yarn - how many how many stitches would i need for 3 to 6 months or 6 to 12 months or to add an extra cable section. i don't use circulars and have one set of 3.5mm double pointed needles. Thankyou in advance.

    For those that find it difficult to knit in the round on a 16 in circular needle, You might want to try a KOLLAGE SQUARE Circular needle with a SOFT CORD. the cord is also 16 inch but much easier to work with. Also they are coming out with shorter cords for this needle.
    The square needles are very easy to knit with.
