    well, as a fellow endymion player, i would say it was working mostly due to his good starting hand and how the enemy recklessly pop institution. but overall, u were indeed playing it in the most optimal way there. really good job.

      Thank you very much. Like any deck, your turn obviously depends on what cards your opponent is deciding to negate, but with how many individual lines Endymions can take, the ability to adapt to the disruptions your opponent can do really is one of the skill caps the deck demands.

    17:58 Something I forgot to mention here is why I removed the counters from specific places. Most people would keep the counters on Endymion so he can’t be targeted, but I only had 3 counters on my field (one on Citadel and 2 on Endymion). If I removed the counter from citadel and 1 from Endymion and left him with the only counter on the field, if my opponent activated a spell I could not let resolve, I would need to return Endymion to the hand to negate it and then I wouldn’t have any counters on my field. Since I kept one counter on Citadel, I could use Endymion’s effect to return Citadel and put the counter right back on him so that during my turn, I could negate again if necessary (like if he used a Skill Drain or something). The deck requires you to think a lot about the future.

      Good point and Shadow that brings up a point I wanted to mention which was you would have been fine if your opponent hit you with evenly matched because when mighty master gets summoned from the pend zone it takes the amount of counters it destroys so after bp you would have been able to bounce citadel or mighty master to the hand. 😏

      Dark Ruler definitely hurts but if you just put in Secret Village of the Spellcasters, it takes care of all board breakers (except Evenly Matched which you can just negate with Endymion). I put that card in when I was rank climbing to D1 last season, and I might just keep it main decked in the future.

    • @shadowspector3611
      @shadowspector3611 2 года назад

      @@notimeleft1: you shouldn’t be using any handtraps in Endymions. The deck is going first and you don’t want to be seeing any handtraps in your hand when you’re trying to do your combos. Your scales need to have 3 spell activations in order to pop off so if you have 2 scales, 2 hand traps, and an Imperm, you won’t be doing anything at all with your turn. It’s not like Heroes or Dinos that just needs two cards that work with eachother in order to go full combo. Endymions need every card in their opening hand to work with each other so that every card can power the others up. I tried putting in Maxx C into Endymions one time and it was such a liability (especially with Into the Void shutting off all the handtraps). The only thing you should probably be using is Dark Ruler No More as you’re going second option.

      Also about Protos, I think I mentioned in the video that if he would’ve gone for Protos’s effect, he wouldn’t have Savage Dragon on the field, which means I’d still have a card effect resolve in my hand which would’ve either been Mastery or Institution (both very good cards). The only dark monster I went for was Accesscode to get rid of Borreload, Baronne, and attack over Grandmaster. Without Accesscode, I could still banish Protos with Cerberus and attack over either Fleur or Grandmaster now that Savage wouldn’t be in the field. That would only leave one troublesome monster, but I’d still have either Institution or Mastery resolve which would mean that I’d have a few more options to go into like Avramax to attack over the last problematic monster and give even more disruption/protection for the next turn. So it wouldn’t have been a total lost cause if he decided to go for Protos and call Dark.

  • @200efo
    @200efo 2 года назад +1

    This is why you have to read before negating cards... Endymion is a strong deck because no one reads its cards.
    Btw this doesn't showcase a "strong" endymion deck. Why?
    1) First duel is pure luck based - no ash in the hands of the swordsoul player that can negate electrumite and let's not talk about pot top deck.
    2) Second duel - that floo player is idiotic, just spamming his bird negate vs a card that is not a threat, and then he activates the trap and summons a floo he already used that turn.
    He also did a poor job with his chain block.
    These Endymion combos are perfectly executed, but dont do this deck if you think this is always going to break boards like in this video. This deck also costs A LOT.

    • @shadowspector3611
      @shadowspector3611 2 года назад +1

      MrVeritas: I see what you’re trying to say but the point is that with this deck, it can comeback from oppressive boards like what you see in the games. Everything in this game is down to luck. It’s a card game that relies on whatever anyone draws. With Endymions, it’s able to utilize the draws very well by having (almost) every single card be useable immediately.
      For the first game, the reason the Swordsoul player used all his negates early was because I had nothing else on my field and my hand that he didn’t know about. He didn’t think about Electrumite, so in his mind, I didn’t have any other play whatsoever if he negated all those spells in my hand. And saying that it’s just “luck” that he didn’t have Ash after he was able to pull out 3 negates and an indestructible floodgate doesn’t seem like a very good point to make with how oppressive his board already was. And with the Desires off the top, with my opponent only at 200 lifepoints, there are a lot of cards I could’ve drawn which would’ve finished him off. I had Ceberus in my hand so I could’ve searched a little Jackal which would get me Jackal King if I built enough counters. With how many draw cards in the deck that would’ve helped close out the duel, Desires was just the best card to draw in that scenario and not the only card that could’ve helped me win.
      For the second game with the Floo player, while he did misplay during my turn, the main idea was that against a board that most players would just scoop to, Endymions have a way around the problem cards. Also even if the Floo player chainblocked perfectly during his following turn, it still wouldn’t have been game for me with the board I was able to set up. Endymions is not a fragile deck in the sense that you can take care of all their negates easily and make them unable to recover. The deck can recuperate from a ton of damage and even come back fully with just 2-3 cards.
      Lastly, the deck doesn’t cost a fortune as most people would have you believe. If you want all the “precious goodies” like the Spellbook engine or the 15 extra deck UR’s that you’re supposedly supposed to go into every game, the deck can be an exorbitant amount of money. However, the only UR cards the deck needs in order to be competitive are 3 Jackal King, 3 Endymion, 1 Electrumite, and potentially 1 Avramax. The pure version I use doesn’t even have that many SR’s either (only Servant and Mastery). Also the secret pack for this deck is very generous with the UR’s it gives you (I opened up a 10-pack bundle and got another 3 Endymions just from it). A deck like HEROs take a ton of gems and has four different boxes you have to pull from but everything you need (besides Electrumite) is in the secret pack for it. It only costed me around 3000 gems to get the full skeleton for the deck.

      I’m just going to say this. Go back to this comment read what your reasons were. And see where you are providing miss information. This is a luck based game. Playing the “what if” game Dosent work. You play with what you got and that’s that. How the player skill level is, well that’s on them I can’t control that. I do urge you to re watch the match and read your own comments. There are also other videos of this deck on the channel feel free to watch those and critique those. Very interested in your input.

    • @200efo
      @200efo 2 года назад +1

      Misinformation? I am just telling people how these endymion combos can easily be stopped at certain chokepoints. So yeah dont waste your negates on random cards. Negate servant, negate electrumite, negate spellpower mastery, and negate endymion pendulum effect before the summon.
      I will check out the other video. Btw I do play endymion and most of the times ( not all the times ) i cannot out the statue because you do not play "going 2nd cards" like dark ruler no more, droplet or imperm.

      @@200efo: so the only thing that stops the Statute is when your opponent has the field spell and tribute summons for the Mega Monarch. But when that doesn’t happen, Garuda, Magister and Abductor can just attack over the Statute and then the normal plays can go from there. I’ve had many scenarios where they’ve summoned the Statute and I attacked over and still won, but I won’t deny that the Statute can be very problematic when I encounter it.
