How does Arcanite gain spell counters? Doesn't it have to explicitly say it gains however many counters per spell activated or am I wrong? I'm new to spell counters :(
Or just completely ignore the counters arcanite has, and abuse his effect by using the field spell counters and destroying all cards your opponent controls since it isnt a once per turn
2 other techs I'll mention for you cimo: 1. Amorphage for combo decks that rely on extra deck 2. Mythical Beast Garuda as a searchable handtrap that has synergy with the endymions, as well as being a searchable MST, making it incredibly versatile and underrated.
Garuda is an awesome card, which also makes running more copies of Cerberus favourable, but my only complaint is it's an expensive card. With the Cerberus re-print in Fists of the Gadgets, you can get away with running only one however. *EDIT* I would also add Mythical Bestiary for the unconditional 3 counters on a card which can be a lifesaver. If you don't need it, you can also just set it and either wait until you need it, or activate it as your opponent destroys it :P
I just started playing Endymion the other day and I looked on your channel for a guide but was sad that I couldn’t find one. The next day and bang there it is lol
"Oh, you flipped Skill Drain? That's very interesting. Anyways *pops your entire backrow*" It does suck when they Imperial Order you, but generally the good Eldlich match up is one of the best parts of the deck in MD. I've mostly moved on to Adamancipators to get to Plat 1 (3 Block Dragon is just insane, and it can actually run hand traps unlike Endymion) but they struggle with Eldlich so I occasionally switch back and forth.
Thanks Cimo I'm just getting back into the game (thanks to you and other yugitubers) after 10 years with my roommate and picked up 3 of the Endimiyon structure decks. Love the Content CHEERS
5:12 YOU should keep in mind that the destruction effect is mandatory, so please don't use endymion's special summon effect on the first turn and please don't use it if your opponent's field is empty, people. As good as this card is, calling it a "behemoth of a boss monster" is definitely a stretch.
I used to run the old Endymion Structure Deck back in high school. Because we all played with Tier 3/4 decks, I actually won a lot. Seeing the new Endymion top tourneys warms my heart a little.
This was really helpful thank you! I've always loved Endymion and Spell Counter Decks but never really played Pendulums so I wasn't sure how build my deck, but this gives me a better understanding of how to best utilize the cards. Thank you again.
I played a casual Spell Counter deck back in the 5Ds/early Zexal era, so I'm glad to see Endymion got so much support. But with the speed of the modern game, and all the reliance on staple monsters and combos, it's hard to find ways to play a lot of these new cards casually. Oh well, the old deck is still fun, when I'm playing at my level at least
I could never get into Pendulums since I left the game at the XYZ dawn and I feel this video is extremely helpful for returning players looking for a strong budget deck. Also thanks to nhymnym or whatever his name his for his "sealed only" series that really made me want to support this deck.
This is perfect. I want someone to make a sudo duel academy like Khan academy but breaking down archetypes and their support. Tech choices. Rules and rulings. And general introductions to cards and how to play together in combos and stuff.

Anyways, love the content! Thanks for all that you do!
Spellbook is also a fantastic engine for the deck. Easy access to spell counters, draw power plus you dont really have a devoted normal summon, so Blue Boy is perfect (Well unless if you want to go the Darkwurm route, but curtain raiser is enough imo)
@@donjuan6996 No he's right, I'm a Endymion player and even I know it's a turn off for most players even me. The only reason it doesn't bother me anymore is because I know the Interactions already but it definitely scares away potential new players.
Nobody knows yet but reflection of Endymion is a good two to one because of its bounce back an opponent monster to the hand effect, not good for every game but late game is pretty good plus it’s another scale two so if servant is ever pop in the scale you can put reflection in the scale as a substitute
Why are spellcounters so different to other counters? Never know I need an effect about spellcouters to place them on a card. Are there other types of counters with similar restriction? Or is it just the weird wording of the endymioncards?
If you are a casual player, half this list is also probably one of the best casual decks you can play right now for what, 50 bucks? 60 at most if you run 3 Master Cerberus, Garuda, and 3 Bestiaries. Pure Endymion with Mythical beasts is most likely the best pure build in the game, you just need some Mythical Bestiaries (heavily underrated card. 3 spell counters for 1 unconditionally is just awesome).
I hope Konami bans all of the Guardragons next format so that we can actually see which deck is the best and not 12 different versions of the same deck
Honestly, i think if the end goal from Pendulums Is killed (Guardragones) the best deck will be Endymion, a mostly pure variant. You can put negates just by using servant/magister, not really relying on Pendulum summoning. Mighty master Is already a Lv 7, so using it to get Odd-Eyes XYZ and then Vortex Is not so dirficult. Out of all of the Guardragon link cards, Agarpain is the best bet to getting banned. Agarpain is the only reason Dragon decks get 1 extra negate. Plus, I tried effect veilering Elpy, and that still didn't stop Guardragon users from pulling their 2+ negates.
Any suggestions on how to include Tempest Magician with the Endymion/Mythical Beast engine???? Summoning Arcanite Magician on my first turn is good and all, but by the time Arcanite is summoned I already have enough spell counters on my Citadel to activate Tempest's effect and nuke my opponent. I really don't want to change the Mythical Beast engine, but I want to add Tempest Magician and Nirvana High Paladin... So far I can only think in adding a Performapal Odd-Eyes Synchron or a White Wing Magician and two Jackals (the LV 1 card). Unless I'm using Destrudo in a wrong way, I can only summon LV 7 synchros. Would Tempest Magician be a good addition to the deck? I ask because since it's extremely easy to generate Counters, it would make her burn effect even deadlier. Also, I have a sentimental connection to the card but that's just a personal thinf
Usually Tempest isn't the ideal choice buddy since getting her out can actually be pretty difficult and generating the necersarry amount of counters to win with her (outside of as a finisher) is absurd (it requires 16 to FTK with Tempest) and generally outside of that she's just a win more card. Most players tend to prefer running more versatille cards since that's what Endymion is really good at.

Been looking around and they all seem so random. Let's say I was to get this pack to start off where is it at?
Bless you buddy, you can get the majority of the Endymion Deck buy buying 3 copies of the structure deck "Order of the Spellcasters" which costs about 30 bucks. You can find them online, buying the singles like Darkwurm and Chrono can be found on sights like Ebay, TCGplayer and troll and toad.
You DON’T want to normal summon Darkwurm, you want to dump it from the deck with Shrine/Foolish/Ravine and special summon it. Play other Normal summons
Nick Seeing Timegazer in hand is an issue irrespective of whether you want to summon Darkwurm or not. Fact of the matter is that just because one thing is a better normal summon than another doesn’t make it GOOD to normal summon it (Timegazer would be worse as it makes Chrono dead). Play actual normal summons.
You usually use destrudo to target one of the level 3's to make it a level 4 then use it to synchro summon borrel savage dragon and if you're running the magician package level 8's are easy.
If servant is in the pendulum zone and has more than three counters and you use the effect to summon itself does it keep the extra ones it had plus the 1 new one or do they drop off and you just get the one?
Once the card stops being an scale, it loses sol properties given as a Pendulum scale, so servant will lose all the counters, and then gain a new out its own effect. Remember, they're two different effects: the Spell (scale) effect and the monster one.
