Experienced divorce lawyer here. I saw a case where a very successful guy married a beautiful single mother (widow). She convinced him to adopt her kids. He did. Then she divorced him a couple of years later and successfully sued him for child support, spousal support, and alimony.
What a sham job... But thats the risk one takes with these women. But don't you encourage this marriage/divorce racket considering that is how you make your living? What is your angle?

2023 I am 51. In 1995 I was 22 US Army stationed in Germany 🇩🇪. Met gorgeous Brazilian who had 2 kids w German and was getting divorced. I fell in lust. Moved in. But, I knew it was a bad call. Army asked if I wanted to extend 1 more year in Germany? I said no, knowing it would hasten our break up. I will also add many points. 1) these women tend to be the queens of double standards. 2) Drunks/druggies/liars/users/losers. 3) highly manipulative. 4) they always want the baby daddy. 5) emotionally damaged. 6) very promiscuous. 7) debt 8) poor/toxic family and friends. 9) they never ever respect or appreciate you for anything. 10) hypergamy is their main behavior. 11) absolutely zero accountability. 12) trust will never happen on either side. 13) they always want to break you down to be the beta male provider while obsessively seeking the alpha side dude. 14) no matter what you do it will never be good enough or right. We had great sex and got along very well, that is until her bar habits and lying became obviously overwhelming and I left her. The next two happened latched onto me like barnacles each roughly a decade a part. I work way too many hours and haven’t drank in almost 12 years so, I’m not the fun loving, easy going party guy anymore and having a hot successful girl that’s 17 years younger and pretending to love makes it hard to pass. You are absolutely right. I did this experience 2 times and it was a drama every time. You are always the "friend of the mother" but never really an important part for the family. The woman can replace you at any time - and you lose everything. The child never tired of mentioning that you are not the father...
I was a bit numb in the brain some almost 20 years ago with this one single mom. Her little 2 year old toddler started calling me "daddy" about a week after I met her, she had obviously groomed that kid for it. My friend, Amber, set me straight and, to this day, I am so thankful I did not hangout with this lunatic any longer.

I agree with no dating single mothers, but personally I do see adoption as a form of salvation for unattractive/impotent men, it gives them a true purpose in life that no women are willing to give them. The only problem is that it is extremely difficult to even get an adoption as a single man as the systems discriminate and view them as those with ulterior motives. It is sad that these men are so looked down upon by society that even the prospect of raising someone else's abandoned children is seemingly impossible to them.

The funny thing I've noticed my whole life is the women I have dated in the 90s early 2000s that were single mothers would always be lil hesitant mentioning they had a kid.....like you said most would try to hide it in a way which means they've always known its not a positive for any future relationship.... This was my life for 13 years. Lost my father to cancer a year before and I never dated a single mother, but I had a huge hole in my life and I foolishly thought I could fill that hole with an instant family. She had a 9 month old baby girl and I had no one like crp to warn me of the dangers of this scenario. While it started out ok it progressively got worse over the years. She was totally damaged from her father, her life was a mess, red flags everywhere that I stupidity ignored, and I thought I could save her from her predicament. As crp says, you get very attached to the kid the longer it goes. As far as discipline, I didn't know what I was doing other than what I saw my father do to my siblings and myself which was old school whoop your ass style. I got a book on disciplining children and it really helped with time outs and stuff. The mother was totally cool with it and discipline was never a problem again. Her biological father wasn't hardly ever in the picture, so that worked out well. While my step daughter has turned into a wonderful little woman that I consider my greatest accomplishment in life, her mother turned out to be unable to get past her demons. While we are no longer together, I am still extremely close to my daughter. I say my daughter because that is exactly what she is and will always be to me and I will always be her real father to her. I put up with waaaaaay to much bullshit from her mother for a very long time, but I knew my daughter needed me in her life to become the person she is today (a straight A student who loves life, has a huge heart, and is never a problem to me or her mother). I went through hell with a fucked up single mom and experienced her turning into someone she wasn't in the beginning of our relationship (or should I say her true personality came out year after year and especially once we got our daughter to 14 years old). I would advise everyone here to listen very carefully to what crp is saying in this video. The mothers do change over to thier real personalities once they have you locked up. I got lucky with my daughter in that I told her mother to respect the fact that either we both co-parent and discipline together or I walk and that she could go find somewhere else to go, especially if she ever told me that I'm not the father. She clearly wanted me for the job, so she had to accept that ultimatum to continue. Thankfully it worked out, but most guys probably won't get that much respect from the majority of single mothers. As for the role of being a father, It is going to be the biggest, most responsibility filled task that you will ever do. And you must realize that the only thing that matters is getting this child to become a good person. And it will take over your life. They will require all of your attention for years and years. And you cannot let that attention go unchecked. Especially for girls. Otherwise they will get it in the worst of ways on down the line and you will look back and wish you would've paid her the attention she needed and not ended up on a pole doing drugs and having daddy issues the rest of her life or God knows what else. I knew how big of a responsibility I had once I took on the job of being her father full time. I wouldn't trade how it all turned out for anything, because I have one good thing to hang my hat on in this world that I did that was excellent. But trust me when I say that this is not a job for pussies. You have to be patient and consistent in a job that is essentially thankless. And thier are all sorts of problems with single mothers that crp has explained perfectly in this clip. But sometimes something that shouldn't ever work actually works out in the end. Mostly crp is dead on with what he is saying about this subject. It's a crapshoot with a high probability of failure. So good luck if you choose to go down the single mother road my friends.

Unless the father was killed in the military or in the line of duty as a cop or fireman, the chances of a single mother being of quality is almost zero. Also, the ones that lost a quality husband usually had a substantial life insurance insurance policy to last 10 years or more. My grandmother was a single mother for a time, because like many women of her time, she was a WW2 widow. So, there are a few exceptions.
'Alpha Widow' dynamics will kick in, you cannot have the 100% of the woman because her past belongs to a great guy and you are constantly measured against that Guy who died a heroic death.

My two brothers are with single mothers but there are some differences in the dynamic. My brother Tom married a single mother in 2003, they’ve been together since. He has 3 kids with her and is literally having financial difficulties but my sister in law is also helping with the money, she’s working too, especially during when the kids are in school. Most cases when the man is struggling financially, the single mothers leave them for someone better which is true. But my sister has been at his side even at his worst moments. And as far as disciplining the kids, she lets him discipline them. Especially the step kid. My other brother Terence is also with a single mother, but their relationship is really toxic. My brother is literally trying his damnest to provide for her and his child, and the step child. She doesn’t see that he is actually doing his best. She calls him a deadbeat dad, and that he don’t care about her or the kids, she’s so clueless. They’ve been going on and off and is considering getting child support from him and the other father. She also has trust issues too, she thinks that my brother is cheating on her which is not true, because my brother is very loyal and definitely a commitment type. If I would have known now then, I would have told both of them never to date single mothers. I was 9 when tom married my sister in law. And I was in my 20s when Terence got with the single mother. I feel terrible because I wish I was smarter. I feel like it’s too late. Not only that, I have mixed feelings about guys dating single mothers.
My husband died from brain cancer in 2016. I am a single Mom, I have had many men approach me, I turned them all down. I am raising our child all by myself. My family steps in when needed. Yes it is possible to take care of my child and myself.

100% dead on. Same issues twice. Did this twice.First one was a total train wreck, I should have known better. Ran past all the red flags because she was hot and the sex was amazing. The second one seemed successful, beautiful, and everything sorted for the first two months. She pressured me within the first two months to lock down the relationship and even move in. Once I wouldn't commit all the nightmares came out. Terrible kids with very little respect or discipline. She was in debt badly making over 120k a year.Found out she was using prescription drugs heavily. Baby daddy drama constantly. They were best friends one min and calling the cops on each other the next. Once she figured out I was getting ready to walk, she was on the hunt for the next sucker while still dating me. I’ve had three LTR’s with single moms. I will attest that every aspect of this video is spot on. We had great sex and got along very well, that is until her bar habits and lying became obviously overwhelming and I left her. The next two happened latched onto me like barnacles each roughly a decade a part.
I work way too many hours and haven’t drank in almost 12 years so, I’m not the fun loving, easy going party guy anymore and having a hot successful girl that’s 17 years younger and pretending to love makes it hard to pass. I agree with no dating single mothers, but personally I do see adoption as a form of salvation for unattractive/impotent men, it gives them a true purpose in life that no women are willing to give them. The only problem is that it is extremely difficult to even get an adoption as a single man as the systems discriminate and view them as those with ulterior motives. It is sad that these men are so looked down upon by society that even the prospect of raising someone else's abandoned children is seemingly impossible to them.

She went out of sight for a moment, bathroom or whatever and this kid was doing something she obviously should not be doing. As the mother returned, I said, "No, no, honey, don't do that." This was my life for 13 years. Lost my father to cancer a year before and I never dated a single mother, but I had a huge hole in my life and I foolishly thought I could fill that hole with an instant family. She had a 9 month old baby girl and I had no one like crp to warn me of the dangers of this scenario. While it started out ok it progressively got worse over the years. She was totally damaged from her father, her life was a mess, red flags everywhere that I stupidity ignored, and I thought I could save her from her predicament. As crp says, you get very attached to the kid the longer it goes. As far as discipline, I didn't know what I was doing other than what I saw my father do to my siblings and myself which was old school whoop your ass style. I got a book on disciplining children and it really helped with time outs and stuff. The mother was totally cool with it and discipline was never a problem again. Her biological father wasn't hardly ever in the picture, so that worked out well. While my step daughter has turned into a wonderful little woman that I consider my greatest accomplishment in life, her mother turned out to be unable to get past her demons. While we are no longer together, I am still extremely close to my daughter. I say my daughter because that is exactly what she is and will always be to me and I will always be her real father to her. I put up with waaaaaay to much bullshit from her mother for a very long time, but I knew my daughter needed me in her life to become the person she is today (a straight A student who loves life, has a huge heart, and is never a problem to me or her mother). I went through hell with a fucked up single mom and experienced her turning into someone she wasn't in the beginning of our relationship (or should I say her true personality came out year after year and especially once we got our daughter to 14 years old). I would advise everyone here to listen very carefully to what crp is saying in this video. The mothers do change over to thier real personalities once they have you locked up. I got lucky with my daughter in that I told her mother to respect the fact that either we both co-parent and discipline together or I walk and that she could go find somewhere else to go, especially if she ever told me that I'm not the father. She clearly wanted me for the job, so she had to accept that ultimatum to continue. Thankfully it worked out, but most guys probably won't get that much respect from the majority of single mothers. As for the role of being a father, It is going to be the biggest, most responsibility filled task that you will ever do. And you must realize that the only thing that matters is getting this child to become a good person. And it will take over your life. They will require all of your attention for years and years. And you cannot let that attention go unchecked. Especially for girls. Otherwise they will get it in the worst of ways on down the line and you will look back and wish you would've paid her the attention she needed and not ended up on a pole doing drugs and having daddy issues the rest of her life or God knows what else. I knew how big of a responsibility I had once I took on the job of being her father full time. I wouldn't trade how it all turned out for anything, because I have one good thing to hang my hat on in this world that I did that was excellent. But trust me when I say that this is not a job for pussies. You have to be patient and consistent in a job that is essentially thankless. And thier are all sorts of problems with single mothers that crp has explained perfectly in this clip. But sometimes something that shouldn't ever work actually works out in the end. Coach had a lot of wisdom. Several years ago, he deleted all his videos. I made a comment about how an important body of knowledge had been lost. I’m glad he was able to save most of them. I’d show this to my son if I had one. Many men (like me) have limited experience with women and then get blindsided.

Unless the father was killed in the military or in the line of duty as a cop or fireman, the chances of a single mother being of quality is almost zero. Also, the ones that lost a quality husband usually had a substantial life insurance insurance policy to last 10 years or more. My grandmother was a single mother for a time, because like many women of her time, she was a WW2 widow. So, there are a few exceptions.

My two brothers are with single mothers but there are some differences in the dynamic. My brother Tom married a single mother in 2003, they’ve been together since. He has 3 kids with her and is literally having financial difficulties but my sister in law is also helping with the money, she’s working too, especially during when the kids are in school. Most cases when the man is struggling financially, the single mothers leave them for someone better which is true. But my sister has been at his side even at his worst moments. And as far as disciplining the kids, she lets him discipline them. Especially the step kid.
My other brother Terence is also with a single mother, but their relationship is really toxic. My brother is literally trying his damnest to provide for her and his child, and the step child. She doesn’t see that he is actually doing his best. She calls him a deadbeat dad, and that he don’t care about her or the kids, she’s so clueless. They’ve been going on and off and is considering getting child support from him and the other father. She also has trust issues too, she thinks that my brother is cheating on her which is not true, because my brother is very loyal and definitely a commitment type. If I would have known now then, I would have told both of them never to date single mothers.
I was 9 when tom married my sister in law. And I was in my 20s when Terence got with the single mother. I feel terrible because I wish I was smarter. I feel like it’s too late. Not only that, I have mixed feelings about guys dating single mothers.
