  • Solo Female in a camper van on Isle of Arran - (Pt. 6)
Following on from last week's video - • WHAT A GEM! Seal Shore...
I was so impressed with my first night at Seal Shore Campsite that I decided to stay another night but this time down at the shore front which meant no EHU which was well worth it to me for the views.
After a glorious sunshiny morning and walk on the beach, the weather really turned. Wind and rain for the rest of the day so I took myself to the day room where there was free wifi and I uploaded my first Vlog of the trip (Part 1 - the ferry over). So I didn't waste the day, but there was no recording that day.
Next day, my last full one on Arran, the rain was still persisting down so I had a leisurely morning before packing up, giving a quick site tour and then driving further along the south coast of the island and then north to Whiting Bay. I saw a sign for the Glenashdale Falls and Giant's Grave and included some info on this along with more photos from Pauline B who I'd met during the week.

The rain persisted all day really, as I drove through Lamlash and grabbed lunch before heading down towards Brodick.
I stopped at Cnoc Na Dail car park and picnic area along the way. Cnoc Na Dail is a mountain summit and the car park looked a great overnight spot - not sure whether you're allowed to overnight there though.
I finished the video here and next week I return to Brodick, visit the cheese shop and aromatics shop to treat myself and my Mum (cat/house sitter!) to some goodies. I spend the night back at Auchrannie Resort before my ferry back to the mainland the next morning.

Hi, I’m Sue from Lancashire, UK.
This channel is just me getting out and about in a converted VW Campervan, occasionally with friends but mostly solo. Fun, laughs, moans, groans, mistakes, and successes. It’ll all be in here!
I’ll share new places, hints, tips, any info I discover and whatever else I think you might find useful.
I began vlogging my solo travels in ‘Vanya’, to help me re-engage with life following the sudden, tragic loss of my husband nearly 3 years ago now. Working through a very complex grief has been the hardest & loneliest challenge imaginable. Some days it still knocks me completely sideways and probably always will. I really don't know. All I do know is that life can change forever and irreversibly in an instant.
By returning to the vanlife we had enjoyed so much together & embracing a new found love of video creation and vlogging, I’m continuing to build strength and balance to move forward through this completely unforeseen and unwanted next chapter of life.
Thanks for joining me. The company is nice.
    Sue x
