I've been building ponds since the 80's and you are one of the most professional, helpful, creative installers I've ever seen! I love your eye for aesthetics, your attention to detail and job site cleanliness, and the fact that you're willing to give away advice (instead of making it "secret", so no one will "steal" your secrets!). I hope you are covered up with business!! And don't forget, when you get busier than you want to be, raise your rates by 10-20% so that you'll work more profitably, not harder!

Hi Eric, just wanted to thankyou for the great series on pond building. I'm a single fifty something woman and got inspiration from your show and now have two great ponds. I enjoy them all the time and everyone is impressed. I always tell them to watch yourr show to see how its done. My ponds have been running for a couple years now with no problems. THANKS

Thank you! I'm building my first pond, and this entire series was incredibly informative and educational, and helped me get over a few areas where I was hesitant. My pond is now up and running and I'm adding the edging and plants. Thank you for all the tips and help. You're definitely a 'Pond Whisperer'! (and I loved Billy Jean!)

Thank you, Eric! I was actually starting a waterfall /creek /pond project when I found your videos. I just finished watching the entire series. It's very well done and I found it extremely helpful. I just canceled some online material orders when I learned of better options from your videos! Now, for the same cost, my water feature will be of much higher quality thanks to your most informative videos. I really appreciate that!

Hey Catherine I'm glad to hear we have bee a source of inspiration for you! Yes our location in Yucaipa is a retail center. I would suggest a large holding pool for your fish during the renovation of the pond. We use a 6' round by 3' deep collapsible koi show pool for holding koi during renovations. You will need to fast the koi for a few days before your move them to the holding tank and aerate the pool heavily. Monitor for ammonia spikes daily and change 50% of the water each week.

We've been mobilized around the country for pond builds, yes. I am traveling to Northern California next month for a project. We currently have our toes in a couple projects in Texas that look like we will mobilize to before the end of the year. We have a project in Orlando that is considering bringing in our team but we may have them covered with one of our Authorized Helix Retailers & Contractors. Wife HATES it when we travel! We have a project that breaks soon in San Diego, 3 week in a motel!

WOW! The rock delivery issue you have experienced is alarming to me! We are looking at helping a client in Texas to build out their pond for them. If I mobilized my team to Texas and had to wait on rock like you have I would go broke. Keep in mind your pond is quite a bit more complicated (& bigger) than the pond in this video. I'm looking forward to seeing your pond up and running! Keep us posted.

Thanks for putting this together. Gave me some great ideas. One thing that was missing was connecting the plumbing. I saw the drain off the waterfall but I have no idea why it is needed. Would of sealed the deal to show all the plumbing hook ups being installed. No doubt you guys work your butt off doing these builds. Awesome job!

Thank you very much for the wonderful videos, you are a real artist!!
One little thing I don't think you mentioned and many newbies don't understand. The volume of the pump dictates how much sound the waterfall makes. Many folks are disappointed (in the long run) by how noisy they are. They are also hesitant to run the larger pumps all day because of the latent thought of how much energy they are using. JMO... think about downsizing the pump or adding a second pump that is lower volume to give an option of which one they want to run. For example, the waterfall you made here with a 500GPH pump or even 320GPH would create a sound you could sit and have a conversation next to.

Hey Alora that's a fine question. More often than not we are selling customized pond kits to owners rather than just a kit in a box that we offer in our online store. A Customized Pond Kit just for you is what you should be looking for.

Eric, I can't tell you how much I appreciate your videos. They are so informative and have answered so many questions I have about planning my pond. You have such a gentle manner and have encouraged me tremendously! Two questions for you, is there some kind of 'formula' for getting an estimate on how much rock I'll need to order of each type? Also, the black foam...how many canisters do you typically use in a pond of this size? I'm hoping to find it locally but think I might have to order it. Thanks so much for everything!

Thank you for this terrific series!
Especially the tips on edge treatment are very helpful.
The final result is surely something you guys can be proud of. Take care!

We really dropped the ball when we didn't do a video on introducing fish to the pond, I know this now! There are no fish in the pond because the pond is no longer there! The pond WAS on a demonstration set. We have already removed the pond and have the SET prepared for a new HOW TO videos Series!!! You can rest assured we will be covering the topic of introducing fish to your pond in a future video series. Thanks for the question.

The colors and choice of plants is incredible. The whole pond is awesome. It's sad to think this is the final video. I enjoyed clicking on the next video in the series.
I know the retaining wall was to prevent damage to the fence behind, but would you consider adding a couple of lights behind it to shine up on the fence for some accent or mood lighting?

awesome job and videos! something tells me that goat ate up all the plants when you left lol. the only thing I didn't see that I really wanted too was a look at the pond after the water cleared up to see all the shelfing and rocks below how they looked. thanks for the videos though!

FYI we tore out the pond only a couple days after completing the video. It was on our RUclips set for filming demonstration videos. We shot the Frog pond series in that location!. Thanks for watching!

Enjoyed every series.!!... ha couldn't wait for the next to show. Great stuff Eric..!!!
This is my second year with my "backyard" pond, and added a small waterfall. Haha, it turned out well, only a couple mistakes.
Thanks to your series, I'm ready to go full out next year. You and the crew helped so much.!!

Eric, as always, you have done an awesome job with the pond and the video series. I've learned a lot and am always looking for you next video. funny thing is i started my pond project before you did and you're done before i am. in my defense, i am in an area where rock is not abundant and must be trucked in. I've rocked 90%+ of my pond, set my skims and waterfalls but have been waiting for my final rock delivery for 3 (going on 4) weeks. It is very frustrating.

I had to move my pond this weekend because my neighbors built a very unstabe wall that was in risk of falling into my old one. I am very pleased with the end result and I would like to thank you for inspiring me to design it differently, im in a lot of pain now though lol :-)

I really enjoyed this series. You are actually really good at explaining things in detail. The only think I missed is how to put or connect the water onto the pond.

Quality job, good workers, and first class operation. When you finish it has to be great looking back that how it came out. The frog pond is a lot easier then the fish pond. I will be looking into doing a frog pond in my next house. Moving soon. Thanks for the help. PS---The goat was a trip.

Watched this entire series October 27, 2022. It was great! So much valuable information. At the beginning of the first video, I thought, "Oh this is what I need". After the rock install, my thoughts changed to "Oh this, but much smaller!" What a gorgeous outcome. What can one do with a jagged hillside?
