Just what I needed, will try this.... I have the very same model, the motor runs but the pump gave up on me a day ago .. had also been dealing with a leak... thanks
Always, before storing my K2,I turn off the water supply ,press the trigger to pump any residual water from hoses and machine. This helps to stop water freezing and cracking those oh so delicate, poorly designed elbows- which should be made in brass!
Hi I did the same cracked the elbow taking it apart getting the starter button to work .daft question, how do you get the elbow off the hose to the gun I ended up dismantling the light grey piece by its still attached given up for today but glad i found replacement part .Good video was about to chuck it away .
Thanks for the video, I need to do the same - I got a bit carried away with my K2 and hooked hot water from the kitching sink into it- - I think I will need new O rings plus that head you replaced - did you replace any main O rings on the motor itself - does the head include a gasket / O ring?
Glad you liked the video. The head came with gaskets already fitted. Plus the intake came with new gaskets and grease. You can get pretty much every part for them now though. 😃
Hi sorry but I’m not too sure as I didn’t have to refill mine as I kept it upright when taking it apart. You should be able to find the info on the Karcher web site though. 👍
@@KyushaStyleTuning indeed , I ended up jamming the switch in the on position, now I just turn on and off at the plug lol , I will get round to buying the switch, also has a slight leak
This seems to be a terrible design fault WATER LEAKAGE AND FRACTURED PLASTIC COMPONENTS on behalf of KARCHER. There are just so many units which have the very same issue and thrown away or sold as spares or repair. .

You are welcome. 😀 glad you found it helpful. 👍
Thanks, in the end we figured it out and today i cleaned my terrace again 💪🏼 it’s working!

Good idea! Definitely should be made out of sturdier material. 🤔
Well done on saving your Karcher’s life. I never knew they stripped down to that extent.
Thanks mate. It’s surprising how many parts you can get for them now too. 👍⚒

Have the same issue. Thank you for making this video.
!😊
Your welcome. Hope you get yours fixed. 😃👍
Just repaired mine with this vid thanks
Excellent! Glad you found the video useful. 👍
Thanks for the video. I dismantled my K2 and replaced the pump head. The pulsing is still there, though. Do you have any other ideas?
Check for leaks on the intake or outlet pipes. These can crack with age. Glad you liked the video. 😎👍
Great information thanks
Glad it was helpful!
What is the amount of oil in (milli-litres) do you need to put in on reassembly of a Karcher K2?
Hi sorry but I’m not too sure as I didn’t have to refill mine as I kept it upright when taking it apart. You should be able to find the info on the Karcher web site though. 👍
It's not a huge amount, and you can easily find it on line, but it MUST be non-detergent oil ,not too expensive, and a small bottle lasts a long time.
Do you have a picture of how to put the wires back? I didn’t made the picture 😢
Hi. Sorry but I don’t have the pic anymore. You might be able to download a wiring plan from Karcher
Great job , my switch has gone £10 eBay
Thanks! It’s good you can basically get every part for them. 😃👍

Just an update I have replaced my switch and the cylinder head , fully restored pressure washer 😁👍
@@paulstir excellent! Glad it’s all fixed. 😎👍
@@KyushaStyleTuning thanks to your guide, cheers brother all the best
Hello from France, Please give me an internet link to be able to order the parts for my water leak problem from the Karcher
Hi! 😃. Try www.espares.co.uk 👍
Merci
I watched 4 videos before this one and the second part you bought seems to be the culprit in every vid. Thanks and cheers 🇺🇸
IT WAS THE FUSE IN MY CASE
Glad you sorted it out. 😎👍

I agree. They could be made very easily out of a stronger material. But then Karcher wouldn’t sell as many ‘replacement’ items when they break. 🤔
Karcher leaking oil
Sorry to hear that. I’m sure it can be fixed.
That’s when repair cost is greater than a new one
But it wasn’t was it.
I replaced my Karcher with a Gerni. It has aluminium and brass components and plenty of power. Best repair I’ve ever done 😊
