Jerry Horton isnt a super technical guitarist when he writes for P Roach, but he holds it down great, he has killer riffs, really creative arpeggio pieces and is super underrated!
Lol... that was funny when he tried to drink water in the mic hahah. "Ohh, that's not water!" _\,,/ This is the real Papa Roach man! C'mon boys... you could go back in time and bring us the "original Papa Roach soundfire" and become "The Cucaracha Boys" again. I'm missing that time... "and time again".
Jacoby is a crazy fuck with amazing energy although I only like Papa Roach's first and 2nd albums other then that I dont really care too much for their new music but still a good band
Yeah, he quit drinking and doing drugs. He is one of the only singers/lyricists who hasn't lost their edge since they quit drinking and doing drugs. As far as Im concerned, a lot of others like Corey Taylor, Ivan Moody, James Hetfield, Eminem and I know theres more that I cant think of. But Jacoby is just as intense on stage and just as creative, passionate and lyrical in the studio, although, admittedly, he's hard pressed to top some of his lyrics on Infest!
@@kustomhooligans I totally agree with you. I also like how the whole band keeps making new stuff rather than sticking to the same stuff. They experiment a lot. And some like it, some don't
shame, i miss this band. Personally loved the first two albums. Great riffs and that included the bass too. They completely lost their identify and soul.
Seriously? Please elaborate on how they've lost their soul. Crooked Teeth is a monster album with tons of integrity. Jacoby and the band have matured beautifully. They have the soundtrack to thousands of our lives.
@@scottschmucker5622 well, the first two albums had a style to them that is simply no longer maintained in any album since. Guitar tunings are different, drums, it's a different genre even. overall they made a massive pivot. Unsure if it was them or their label but they are like a different band when you compare musically. So yes, they are not the band I saw live in 2001. You may like their stuff and that's cool but personally for me, they don't have the identity they had as I said before. I've tried to listen to newer stuff and it's like they are trying to appeal to a completely different persona of person. If that doesn't answer your question I'm not sure what will.
Ok you answered fine. They’ve changed their sound but are far from losing their soul. Jacoby writes his lyrics straight from the heart and that is why they still connect with millions of people around the world, especially in these broken times.
@ledzep896 oh no im i listen to them since 2000 and they was allways amazing ok they changed theyr musik genre because they got older and more experienced and thats what you can hear in theyr new stuff its just amazing!!! i love theyr old stuff and of course love theyr new stuff . i gotta tell you something. if youre a real p roach fan you would grow with them!!! and you wont discuss about shit like (oh my god they was good but now theyre just crap) so poor man-.-
He tried to drink his mike hehe I love Jacoby hehe I hope he doesn't make us do that when i see them live.. I don't wanna slam into anyone I just wanna enjoy the music
@@ShaRoachie their first 2 albums are good, I also think the direction they took with the connection onwards is better than 2004-2010 but its missing some heavy nu metal
lol my fav part is when he drinks from his mic.
It's from Lovehatetragedy. They released it in 2002.

Jacoby had a metamorphosis like.. between lovehatetragedy and Getting away with murder
