I have the complete Anthology DVD box set. I have spent many a night watching it from start to finish. It always starts off making me happy, and as episode 8 of disc 4 ends, you are left crying. Crying that they broke up, crying that John and George are no longer with us, crying that you're too young to have ever been able to see the Beatles in concert. I've seen Paul himself 4 times.
I've got all three 'Anthology' albums (as well as the 'Free As A Bird' and 'Real Love' singles) on CD, Cassette and Vinyl. I also own the 'Anthology' series itself on both DVD and VHS, as well as the official tie-in book of the same name. I bought them all when they were first released and each one is still in mint condition.
Good God! When you see these "Early" Sessions they could give Phil Spector & Motown a Run for it's Money. As far as I know Motown never released Recordings in their originality. I remember seeing an Album called "Temptations Sing Smokey". At first I didn't understand it as a Kid, but I then realized that alot of their Hits were written by him, most notably their Signature Song "My Girl" Co Written By Ronnie White.
I loved their early looks with the Overcoats, Suits & Ties. Brian Epstein was so smart making them wear them, they looked so debonair, no wonder why Girls and Guys loved them.
I lived seeig them in Suits an Ties. They looked so handsome not realizing how their lives were going to change. You also see the influence that Blues had on them with In Spite Of All The Danger, also you saw how they like Brian Wilson (The Beach Boys) were Pre-MTV Unplugged with Where Did Your Heart Go, and Brian with The Beach Boys Party.
Exist many Beatles Recordings still not yet released oficial like: "September in The Rain" "Take Good Care Off My Baby" "Love Of The Loved" "Dream Baby" "A Picture Of You" "My Eveline" "Your Feet' s Too Big" "Red Hot" "Little Queenie" "Red Sails in The Sunset" "Reminiscing" etc etc etc
When I hear "Taxman" I sometimes wonder if Outkast who were diehard Beatles fans bought that influence into their own Music most notably their Masterpiece Speakerboxx/Love Below
He was right though. Waters for a time was trying to tour as Pink Floyd, while Gilmour, Mason, and Wright were touring as Pink Floyd. Then after the court said Gilmour et. al. could tour and produce as Pink Floyd with or without Waters, he kind of faded away. There's an interview where Waters was like "here's David and the guys playing sold out football stadiums all over the world as Pink Floyd and here I am playing coffee shops to 10 people and I wrote the fuking songs" When the Beatles broke up, they all knew it was over, it was done, they could not and would not try to perform as the Beatles if it wasn't the 4 of them and ONLY the 4 of them. That was the right thing to do.
I want to hear the demo of "It's For You", which they gave to Cilla Black. Recorded the same day as "You Know What to Do" and "No Reply (demo)", but left off of Anthology (copyright issues?). I know it exists! I want to hear that more than anything!
@namron93 me!!!! i totally agree the music now a days sucks with the exception of a few artists or bands. very few. there not even trying no more to be original
I often wondered why George referenced Roger Waters in this making of Anthology. Did Waters annoy him or what. Not that it really matters now after all these years because George is gone.
Masterfully speaking, bill Shepard says they have instead of we have and he reaches in to the sky with mister moonlight instead of I reach in to the sky. Because it was the original bio Paul McCartney singer mister moonlight and not him.
He was telling how each member was important in the band. Like When Roger Waters left Pink Floyd, the band died. I mean it was not the same Pink Floyd sound after that.
I always thought he just meant they weren’t going to replace Paul with another Bass player & go out as the Beatles. For a joke he just uses Rogers name.
"I was an only child with three amazing brothers"
This quote from Ringo really is a stunner. Says everything about the Beatles.
R.I.P GEORGE MARTIN 1926-2016
Karen Canaviri he said Martin, silly! Not Harrison
Talitha Rasha you slice of bruh cake
He was the fifth Beatle.
Thank you Jeff Lynne, you made this reunion possible and fantastic job on producing the 2 songs.
Paul quotes Ringo about G + P singing in harmony and suddenly it really was the Beatles again... send shivers down the spine

Wonderful! Beatles simply The Best Band Ever and Forever!
George was such a divine looking man❤️ from 18-58, he had always looked great....❤️
Thank GOD for the four of them. Apart or together, they sang love. They were, are, true LOVE!!!
George! Always so good looking! His guitar playing in "real love" is amazing!

Valerie Mercer x2
'Real Love' made me cry the first time I watched it...
Their love for each other was truly unconditional!
George did some amazing guitar work for Free as a bird and Real love. Well, and every other Beatles song he played on. Well thought out parts.
Real Love was a little gem.

The Beatles Are The Greatest Band
Yes indeed!!!
I love the older slower version of one after 909. Really good song
It's because of stuff like this that I loved the 1990s so much.
Almost made me cry.
Oh well this made me emotional
I STILL LOVE THE BEATLES, YOU KNOW. I CANT HELP IT
I 💕 The Beatles Merry Christmas guys 🎁🎄🎊
Please tell me I'm not the only one who cried.

I love both songs that came from Anthology, but Real Love made it feel like John was back.
Happy Birthday John.
アンソロジーは、最高に、良かったです!
I'd like to know what all the songs the Beatles gave away for other people to record. There were a lot of them.
I Love love love the beatles!!! ❤😊❤😊❤😊❤😊
im so with namron! Music today sucks! Its all this pre-recorded, electronic, crap with no instruments or real musicians.

It's funny to me that George mentioned Roger Waters of all people.
He was right though. Waters for a time was trying to tour as Pink Floyd, while Gilmour, Mason, and Wright were touring as Pink Floyd. Then after the court said Gilmour et. al. could tour and produce as Pink Floyd with or without Waters, he kind of faded away.

How is the top 2 greatest songwriter ever end up being in the same band thats fucking unfair their will never another band like them anymore.
I want to hear the demo of "It's For You", which they gave to Cilla Black. Recorded the same day as "You Know What to Do" and "No Reply (demo)", but left off of Anthology (copyright issues?). I know it exists! I want to hear that more than anything!
The Beatles really need to re-releaee Free As A Bird and Real Love using the MAL AI machine used on Now And Then
The best.
The Beatles Are The Best 👍💯
UnBeatleble
3:33 Interesting choice 😂
The only problem I had with Free as a Bird was since it was produced by Jeff Lynn it sounded like ELO and not so much the Beatles.
On the other hand, Elo always sounded like Beatles light so....
Didn't everyone say that if Beatles had stayed together they'd do the stuff ELO was doing
Beatle forever💞💞💞
ES INEVITABLE PESE A QUE FALTE JOHN :c EMOCIONARSE CON LOS BEATLES SONRIENDO Y SIENDO IGUALES A COMO LOS FUERON HACE YA 45 AÑOS :D

Bluray edition?
Does anyone know how to watch the Anthology documentary in 2022? Apart from buying the physical DVD
I don't believe they released it on streaming, and was recently taken down from the Internet Archive
@@seid3366 That's such a pity! I think a lot of people want to watch it and it's almost impossible to find.
@@emanuelevacca91 Apple is being a dumdum company.
@namron93 I'm going with you !!!!
@namron93 Or you could stay here, listen to all the good bands from history and some of the less appreciated ones of today.

@@shaide5483 they lost a lot without the CD
True?

@namron93 aye
What is George Harrison talking about, saying Roger Waters? I guess he meant David Gilmour going out as Pink Floyd in the late 80s
