I ended up going with the GYTR radiator cage brace guard, which basically came with a full cage and rods that brace to the side of the bike. So far that has saved the bike and most importantly my pocket a ton of times 🤣
ZIP Tie is better for Rad Fin alignment 🙂

Any video of the rides, I’m trying to judge if this bike is good for slow trail riding and slow woods riding
2022 has been a rough one for me and definitely haven't been able to ride as much dirt bikes compared to past years but this was an amazing trip riding the WR in Idaho. Trails there are insanely steep, narrow, and rocky: ruclips.net/video/KZl4IszvA1s/видео.html

I would recommend a little Loctite on the allen head bolts. I seem to lose more of them than the other bolts. I don't feel the wrap around radiator guards are needed unless there are holes in the plastics or there are no plastic fairings. If you lay the bike over hard enough to damage the sides of the radiator I think you will have bigger issues, so keep the tires down lol
Hahaha I lay the bike on its side on almost every ride, typically when I’m riding steep and techy trails. But I will take your advice on the loctite
@@wolfpackadventures I am not a motorcycle instructor but I do teach people to ride. I recommend to practice in an open area where you can ride as slow as you can. A large driveway or a small area of a parking lot is perfect. Do a bunch of SLOW left hand turns without your feet touching the ground. Go as slow as you can! When you can do left turns easily then do right turns. When you master those turns then do figure 8's. Get your 8's as tight as possible! You want to be able to turn one full circle then immediately turn the opposite direction. Practice these exercises while sitting, standing and a mix of both. This will teach you clutch and throttle control along with balance. Also practice going as slow as you can go in a straight line without touching the ground. Lightly dragging your rear brake will help you balance the bike. I have ridden for over 40 years and I still practice these exercises all the time. It is easy to teach someone to "ride" a motorcycle but these slow speed skills will help you master riding. BTW, I still have to dab a foot every so often 😉 Let me know if you have any questions. It is much easier if I could watch and give you tips while you are riding, but this should get you to hone your skills..... Maybe do a couple videos and I could try and help that way??
I ride KTM and BMW pretty much exclusively. Did you get away from KTM because of their maintenance requirements? How do you like the Yamaha after months of ownership?
Steph still has the Yamaha and she loves it but I (Jennifer) still ride a KTM 300 xc-w and I'm not sure I'd switch to anything else! Love it and really not that much maintenance.
@@wolfpackadventures The KTM 350 EXC-F is fun-perfect for what I use it for, fast enough on the single track around my area. I wouldn’t switch to another brand either. I just got a 9R 165 Pro RMK sled which was my dream for sooo long and it’s snowing more today and into next week at Mt. Shasta YAHOO! It’s a strong motor and ordered a push start haha!

@@wolfpackadventures Cool! Ever tried race track stuff on sport bike? Funny how counter steer is universal. Was a secret weapon on tight turns. Had a coach termed it Ubersteer!
