I main Dusk also. I accept he isn't the best. But if you train against people in diamond or plat you can do better with him. He just isn't the strongest spear.
Cannon can get crazy high damage unjumpable read follow ups and has a true grounded damage builder and kill option. Spears issue of relying on a hard dodge read to get a kill while grounded I believe is enough of a weakness to not make it deserving of a nerf.
ThePikeOfDestiny normal slight is never a follow up after they dodge up unless they just fall after dodging up. In that case, anything is a good follow up lol. Everything else you said was true tho

Everyone good with spear goes for dlight rec. Its a great setup for clips at low damage and the optimal option to kill from center stage, or after elevated dlight catches. The spears you play against are shit.
If they slightly buff Scythe and maybe Mirage won't be overshadowed by all the other legends, because not only is she is one of the least played legends, most ONLY play her spear due to the fact Scythe isn't as rewarding and you can't really blame them for that.

Honestly I never thought that the un consistent Dlight and Slight were an issue (I actually really liked how Slight > Nlight was true at low HP, before they made both the hits knockback in the same direction), I just thought that it needed extra force on the recovery because getting kills with spear was WAY too hard.
So like I just started playing very recently, I'd say less than a week, and I watched this video regarding the best legends to play if you're new, and I went with Hattori as my main cause the video told me she would be good to use if I'm really new and wanna learn some stuff(something about edge) and well I got the slight into dlight down, and then watched some videos about spear bread and butter and then just naturally figured out I could do slight into dlight into recovery and seeing you telling us to use it really makes me happy for some reason xD
Lord TT it’s a really good edgeguard for ppl who try to recover high, u can also use it to juggle an opponent if u can catch them. It’s also a jump read

One spear combo i did in practice was, nlight, side light, and neutral air, (with mirage), and it does maybe like 60-80 damage, idk the exact damage, but i noticed i had a low defense opponent, so i switch to a high one, (onyx) and it did about the same amount of damage

combo only does a little under 68 (with recovery instead of sair) damage. not 72. using rounded numbers for each attack damage works okayish, but it's not super accurate. 4 damage isnt a lot tho, also a recovery after the last gc dlight does 17.47 compared to a sair which only does 15.smth.
Love the spear patch. For spear I main brynn and mirage. I think they both have really good spears. I used to main nai but she is more of a fun pick now. Also keep up the good work phazon.

Ive done that combo for so long but instead with a sair I use brynn nsig
