I think that GS is very healthy for the game, a big reason that axe, hammer, and lance were getting played a bunch was that we don't have many heavy weapons and GS will help with that. Also, I think it's hilarious how I see so many people call the weapon broken or braindead just because it's new and they don't know how to dodge against it yet. It's scythe all over again!
I haven't played against it for a long enough time but for now it is very very hard to play against. especially at 2300 people know the strings and can punish you super hard if you make a wrong move or dodge weird. the thing i really hate about the weapon is the nlight into nlight because it catches so many inputs and after it you can do recovery which is also insanely good. jumping out of strings is pretty hard and dodging them can be a hassle too. it feels impossible to play against now but again that is probably because i haven't played long enough against it.
Im loving jaeyun so far. This patch was amazing, lance slight rec is gone, cannon got buffed, sword slight is more consistent. Heck boomie even said he might return cis of this patch

Well how do i he has like 4 hit 2 dodge frame combos which you cant really dodge because he literally covers every dodge option. Also its the first weapon to be rewarded if you miss a hit instead of being punished. With other weapon you just stand there but with greatsword you get into a stance and make a much stronger attack within 2 frames
greatsword is literally like fast as hell it basically isn't even a heavy weapon it's just a fast weapon that does a lot of damage also known as BROKEN
when your Greatsword gets stuck in the ground from dair you go into stance mode and you can combo with light attacks instantly just like the normal combos
They should make the greatsword sound effect more "hard" and distinguishable like axe, i still can't time my dodges against great sword and im very sure nlight nlight isnt true
i use to main jiro until jaeyun was added that was the final blow for me i refuse to get rushed constantly by a weapon with op sigs and has legit basically no stun time because everything leads into something else so read this and fear my message for now on i main ulgrim/macho man and orion/yellow man if I'm soon to be spammed may the spam battled begin
Also his stats are pretty godly. My favorite setup of any legend is speed stance diana for 7 speed and 5 all makes everything feel super smooth and jaeyun can do this aswell
Ammiel Crispin Jaeyun is a high skill, high reward legend. He's far from OP, and imo he is pretty balanced with how ridiculously slow greatsword is. You thought axe was slow, greatsword takes it to a whole new level on both startup frames and recovery frames.
The down air is used to start a combo ( idk what else ppl are calling it) but i use it to disorient my opponent because it looks like my weapon is stuck in the ground for a few seconds then i can follow up with a side light and a neutral light
The force on his Nair and Recovery should definetely be heavily nerfed. Probably the best moves force wise. Sound que for the ssig would be great aswell

Falling dlight from greatsword when u hit the ground goes into any bridge move except dlight, falling sair goung into the ground goes into any bridge move except slight. So they arent that useless like you said in the vid :)
Sair has too much force to go into any bridge, side finisher has enough range at low damage but has way too many dodge frames. Dair has no damage, though it does go into the bridge pretty well.
I think they need to disable the ability to instantly do another move after you missed one because it makes it a lot harder to punish moves than it should be, but otherwise jaeyun is cool.
Just saying, Jaeyun is one of the worst legends to spam with lol. Every single sig has pretty bad recovery frames making them easily punishable. Missed greatsword light attacks also have long recovery frames, and greatsword is among the slowest weapons in general. In fact, hardly anyone is playing Jaeyun because you can't mindlessly spam with him.
@@noro_2520 if the sair hits u in yellow, a little bit more and u die, happens the same with dair, GP and recovery. And the hitbox of sair counts like dair cause it hits above u and below u.
@REAPER ROSE YT Im playing a lot of scythe, so staying in air is part of my playstyle. If u hit those arial attacks u can basically delete people but if u miss u are fcked. I trained with a diamond and he showed me what happenes if I miss one of those arial attacks

Actually it’s very ez to dodge/play against Thicc sword, cause of the very big recovery frames on the most attacks

The way I see dsig is that it escapes from moves that usually can only hit grounded while delivering a counter attack
