They should've let Jane guide Ellen through the bomb defusing process at least once. I can imagine her picking up the headset and walking off to make a cup of tea, humming happily as Ellen's increasingly terrified screams acts as a timer for the kettle.
Could be worse. Mike doing the actual defusing. ... Right um so cant defus it I'm just going to blow it . Everyone else. Um Mike we havent even started . Mike yah but to late I already blew it up
Never seen Mike so focused on making something not explode. I guess that "Leading a Low Chaos Life" seminar hosted by Corvo Attano and the self-help series "Patience in a Cardboard Box" by Solid Snake really paid off.
Luke's "bear with us" sounds like they're running a hotline. "Hi, do you have frequent encounters with bombs? Are those bombs alike something the Riddler would cobble together on crack? Are you NOT an expert bomb defuser? Well, neither are we! But as they say, three heads are better than one, so do not hesitate to put your life in our almost-competent hands and call MIKE and LUKE, for YOUR amat--PROFESSIONAL bomb defusal!" MikeandLukesprofessionalbombdefusalservicedeniesallresponsiblityfordeathbyanythingexplosiverelated. Also, I petition for Ellen to play "Deadly Creatures" on the Wii.
Keep playing this game! I want to see Andy in VR trying to defuse, I feel like he'll freak out. I also want to see Ellen take a stab at the manual.Mike at VR and Jane at manual as well.
Isn't one of them actually a little bit color blind? Wouldn't that be entirely cruel to make them the defuser of the bomb?..... Please.. please do this!!!
Why doesn't the bomber just wise up and attach the New York Times crossword? Ellen: 14 seconds remaining, what's an eight-letter word for "to explode"!? Luke: Get Webster! GET WEBSTER! Mike: Detonate! It's deto- *KABLOOEY*
10:58 Ellen: "And then like a really weird one with a triangle, um, and an upside down, oh God it's like ... Mike: "Does it look like an octopus, that's got stuck on a door handle?" Ellen: "Yes!" Explained like a pro.
acesofthesky no, because the point of this game is to KEEP things FROM exploding That's the *opposite* of what Mike does XD But yes I'd be lying if I said I haven't been wanting to see them play this for the longest time
"Does it look like an octopus that's got stuck on a door handle?" "Yes!" Why do I live in a world where that conversation makes sense in a bomb disposal scenario?
I like how Ellen does what everyone does when trying to think which side something is on and has to wave their hand down to definitively say that it is on that side. It is on the *chops down left hand* left side
This video is amazing! I enjoyed all the games, and I just could not help laughing out loud at the octopus-that-has-got-stuck-on-a-door-handle part. Ellen's reaction was pure gold. She and Mike were on the exact same page. I would love to see more episodes of this game with all the Oxbox members. Keep up the great videos, guys! :-)
The only way this could be better if Luke and Mike were drunk/high and trying to convey the instructions to Ellen! New Fav Channel on RUclips! we love you Ellen!!
Having played the heck out of this game with my friends, my heart skipped a beat after they considered mazes and then skipped over it on the third bomb for what Ellen called "battleship" XD
the design of this game is genius, it's always fun to watch. Also, that number memory game destroys everyone, definitely the hardest module. Look up the bomb expert's LP, they were amazing.
i played this game with my friends months ago if not a year or so and... it is amazing as it seams. theres alot of shouting at eachother and ecitment for both people playing the game and reading the pdf.
that game is so great! played it a lot on my vive with my buddies :) best part is the funny ways people describe the buttons like "weird octopus stuck on a doorhandle" :D
They've done better than every single person I've seen play this. Everyone else has always failed almost immediately or not managed more than the first bomb.
Also Luke takes too much time and talks too slowly for the situation at hand. Gotta pick up the pace dude it's on a timer can't take all day reading things out loud.
This game is the most stressfull thing to play at a bar. We have this at our studentpub, with a papermanual and a set of walkietalkies. Straight up hillarious wacthing half the guest explode sometime after the 3rd pint.
Played this a while back when a friend brought it to a games day. Really fun, and its surprising how tense everything gets (I can imagine much more tense Ellen must have felt playing with the Oculus too) Most of it wasn't too bad, but we always seemed to struggle on the memory test too. Still, fun little party game!
It's funny how to two guys aren't the ones to defusing the bombs but have Ellen to defuse it for them. Now we all know who runs the show around here besides Andy
Ah this is good fun, a lot easier with the defuse manual printed instead of having to scroll up on the computer, however, VR is likely a lot easier than mouse and keyboard. I think the first time we got to memory module we lost too because no one was paying attention to what number the defuser pressed. You did really well on the maze, but I reckon that's because it's kind of like entering a cheat code for an old school game. Your names for the symbols were much classier than ours, we had right boob or left boob, full rack and Cthulhu holding a staff. You didn't get my personal hell module which is Who's on First; the creator of that is extremely mean.
Who better to help Ellen defuse a VR bomb than Luke and Mike? What's that you say? LITERALLY ANYONE? Well, we work with what we're given. Enjoy!
Outside Xtra should of gotten mick, he would of been so much better at this than mike
Do more, but with different people on the vr
Thinking about it, all of Mike's experience in blowing things up should've given him a vast knowledge of how to stop bombs.
Andy should do this!! His panic would make this a great watch, just like his slender scares!
Outside Xtra why is Mike the only one from outside Xbox that is seen on outside xtra ?
Halp me ;__;
icklenellierose XD
Not having the manual printed out? Having to fiddle around with the laptop to see each section? It's like they wanted you to explode!
icklenellierose you should have asked Jane to help not Mike
79.03.13 nonono Jane would blow it on purpose, and Mick is not alone.
You knew the job was dangerous when you took it. Having to catch the hand grenade should have been a clue. :D
They should've let Jane guide Ellen through the bomb defusing process at least once. I can imagine her picking up the headset and walking off to make a cup of tea, humming happily as Ellen's increasingly terrified screams acts as a timer for the kettle.
Or purposely giving her the wrong instructions.
Who do you think CREATED the bombs in the first place?
rofl. so true
I think Jane and Mike where like so I got an idea for a game
"Is it like an octopus stuck on a door handle?".... "Yes.. actually.. Yes. It's exactly like that." Best dialogue ever.
That got me, had to pause for a minute.
11:05 is the timestamp. Came here to write this exact comment
Really? Mike on a bomb DISPOSAL team?
That's like putting Ellen in charge of a spider farm!

Also, I petition for Ellen to play "Deadly Creatures" on the Wii.
“Riddler would cobble together on crack” LOL!
This was the first game I tried in VR and it _blew me away_.
RIP Ellen. She had so much to live for.
Roonco SP Yeah, like that oxbox fanfiction. I'd really love to see that one published
She'll be fine, they just need to sew her legs back on.
Roonco SP She was so close to finishing her 2,000th playthrough of kingdoms of amalur. Fate truly is the cruelest mistress.
In which Mike, astonishingly, helps PREVENT an explosion.
Keep playing this game! I want to see Andy in VR trying to defuse, I feel like he'll freak out. I also want to see Ellen take a stab at the manual.Mike at VR and Jane at manual as well.
We need more
Isn't one of them actually a little bit color blind? Wouldn't that be entirely cruel to make them the defuser of the bomb?..... Please.. please do this!!!
"The octopus stuck on a doorknob" played this with a group of friends, we called that one the alien coffeemaker.
Also FYI you don't need to collect the circles in the maze - they're just so you know what maze you've got.
Ellen: "Ah there's more on the back!!"
Luke malfunctions and loses all control of his arms, it's like it was his trigger phrase only Ellen knows...
The ideal scenario for this game would by Andy diffusing, with Ellen and Jane on the manual.
Mike has a advantage
this game is to test your nerves, but mike is a robot, he doesn't has nerves
Yeah, but you could see it getting to Ellen. Doing it in VR was an excellent idea.
11:35 ME IN A MATHS TEST
When you think everything is going fine and then you realise there is more
Why doesn't the bomber just wise up and attach the New York Times crossword?
Ellen: 14 seconds remaining, what's an eight-letter word for "to explode"!?
Luke: Get Webster! GET WEBSTER!
Mike: Detonate! It's deto-
*KABLOOEY*
This is basically the Mike game isn't it.
Frost why mick?
DNAspl1ce The original Outside Xtra video - Whe. the OXbox team read their script, they told him to call himself Mick, if I'm not mistaken...
Wouldn't the goal of "Mike: The game" be to blow up the bomb though?
Was the flaw putting Mike in charge of making a thing *not* explode?
10:58 Ellen: "And then like a really weird one with a triangle, um, and an upside down, oh God it's like ...
Mike: "Does it look like an octopus, that's got stuck on a door handle?"
Ellen: "Yes!" Explained like a pro.
Somethings not right... the Mike i know would never try to DEFUSE a bomb... WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH THE REAL MIKE!
must be mick
polkarrty Mikes sane twin?
what ellen and luke called him in their outside xtra's first video - his even more insane twin :P
xeamnz dear god
please make this a regular thing- best thing ever! i mean andy and mike arguing over stuff with jane trying not to panic defusing would be so funny
You could say that this video was the bomb, and who could de-fuse to play to play this game with its explosive content
"nothing exploded. great!" i feel like a good attitude to take in most places
I guess we know who they think is the most dependable... or expendable.
replace "or" with "and" and it will be all peachy
I need a video to watch to fall asleep. Oh hey, Outside Xtra released a new video, I'll watch that. *2 minutes later* AHHH DEFUSE THE BOMB!
epeman28 me exactly
This was legitimately one of the most captivating RUclips videos I've seen in ages, good work guys.
an octiopus that get stuck in door handle truely only Mike will be to under stand that
Isn't this the best game ever for these guys, especially Mike?
acesofthesky no, because the point of this game is to KEEP things FROM exploding
That's the *opposite* of what Mike does XD
But yes I'd be lying if I said I haven't been wanting to see them play this for the longest time
_/b1ack0ut "best"
acesofthesky gotcha XD
Also I think Ellen should have called LITERALLY anyone other than Mike and Luke. Literally anyone is more qualified XD
Not only best game but also using VR makes it even better; Ellen looked mildly panicked a couple times.
"Does it look like an octopus that's got stuck on a door handle?" "Yes!"
Why do I live in a world where that conversation makes sense in a bomb disposal scenario?
I like how Ellen does what everyone does when trying to think which side something is on and has to wave their hand down to definitively say that it is on that side. It is on the *chops down left hand* left side

Oh man, you're scrolling through the pdf while there's imminent threat of Ellen being blown up? For the love of god, Ctrl+F! CTRL + F!
nummy nummers, even better idea: print the damn PDF.
The only way this could be better if Luke and Mike were drunk/high and trying to convey the instructions to Ellen!
New Fav Channel on RUclips!
we love you Ellen!!
I liked the bit when Mike and Luke were celebrating before the bomb was defused!
That moment at 1:47 or so when Luke and Mike are both fully prepared for Ellen to get blown up
Ellen will be remembered.
I wonder who made the bomb? Prolly those other guys from outside xbox!
agidyne967 Jane
Oh my God, they killed Ellen!
YOU BASTARDS!
Surely asking Mike to prevent things blowing up contravenes the Geneva Convention?
"An octopus that has gotten stuck on a door handle"... that has to be the best description i have heard in my life haha
Mike kicked ass with that maze module.
I think we all thought it was over until he took charge with his hero maze skills.
I like when Mike wipes the sweat off his brow as if he is defusing an actual bomb.
I want Luke on my team. He might not get it right, but I find his "Let's not panic" soothing.
An octopus stuck that got stuck on a doorknob! Made my day. Cheers.
Please do more of this!!!!!
You guys are super awesome. Just putting it out there.
I also have a crush on Ellen and would take her on a date of her choice. But I guess it would bomb.
I can see why they didn't have Jane do this. She would've given Ellen the wrong answers just so the bomb would go off.
It's nice to see Mike trying to prevent explosions for a change
Oh man your guys faces when she said there was a detonate button cracked me tf up 😂
I literally have no interest in playing this myself, but have watched this video 5 times already and could watch you guys play all day.
Having played the heck out of this game with my friends, my heart skipped a beat after they considered mazes and then skipped over it on the third bomb for what Ellen called "battleship" XD
12:53 "Someone's got a real weird sense of humor"....... JANE!!!!!
Right Jane is totally the Bomber in this game..
the design of this game is genius, it's always fun to watch. Also, that number memory game destroys everyone, definitely the hardest module. Look up the bomb expert's LP, they were amazing.
i played this game with my friends months ago if not a year or so and... it is amazing as it seams. theres alot of shouting at eachother and ecitment for both people playing the game and reading the pdf.
that game is so great! played it a lot on my vive with my buddies :)
best part is the funny ways people describe the buttons like "weird octopus stuck on a doorhandle" :D
my heart was genuinely pounding watching poor Ellen trying to diffuse those bombs
Ellen dropping the f bomb was adorable
An octopus stuck on a door handle.
Octopus stuck on a door handle is the best description ever
They've done better than every single person I've seen play this. Everyone else has always failed almost immediately or not managed more than the first bomb.
Also Luke takes too much time and talks too slowly for the situation at hand. Gotta pick up the pace dude it's on a timer can't take all day reading things out loud.
Half a hashtag is perfect!
I always like to imagine this game is the work of a jigsaw/riddler type criminal messing with a town.
This looks like enormous fun. Especially if the participants were all slightly drunk.
THink they did the best of any videos i've seen on this game actually.
I love these group playing games with them. :D Such fun times.
This game is the most stressfull thing to play at a bar. We have this at our studentpub, with a papermanual and a set of walkietalkies. Straight up hillarious wacthing half the guest explode sometime after the 3rd pint.
Great H5 positioning guys. Totally blends with the background.
Best let's play type video ive watched in a while! So tense! Good work guys.
"Haaaaii! Haaaaaaaiiiiiiii..."
Adorable.
Used to play this one with a couple of friends, a couple of months ago. Very stress; much fun, though.
this needs to be a new challenge of the week 2021 edition!
This is probably one of my favorite videos. You guys should do more of these!
I'm like falling in love with Ellen each episode lol.
This game is perfect for the team, especially in VR. Very panic inducing for the person with the headset though.
Would love to see more of this with Luke and/or Mike on the Oculus!
That was surprisingly stressful! And way over my head. I would have been exploded ages ago.
they did really well for a first time. color me impressed. I've seen people die on the first bomb
Loving the intensity of this game - but definitely need different OxBox combos to diffuse, see how everyone reacts in the chair...
Played this a while back when a friend brought it to a games day. Really fun, and its surprising how tense everything gets (I can imagine much more tense Ellen must have felt playing with the Oculus too)
Most of it wasn't too bad, but we always seemed to struggle on the memory test too.
Still, fun little party game!
There is a big bomb, in the neighborhood.
Who you gonna call? ANYONE BUT ELLEN,LUKE AND MIKE DEAR GOD WE'RE ALL DOOMED!
This was by far one of my favorite videos of yours plz do more 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
"Octopus stuck to a door handle"
Mike is so good at this!
Hah! That first one, with less than 5 seconds left! Practically a movie cliche, right there! :D
'Backwards N'? Oh, come on guys, that's just a plain old Й!
And 'two Ks stuck together' are Ж. Yeah, I guess a bunch of linguists would rule at this game.
Well knowing the names or phonetic values of the letters doesn't really figure into the gameplay from what I could tell.
I guess unless everyone playing is a linguist... so I take that back.
I have never been so tense watching you guys play a video game. :D This felt like an actual thriller or whatever!
This was so much fun!! Please do another one of these. Maybe switch up the people to make it different. Was good :D
It's funny how to two guys aren't the ones to defusing the bombs but have Ellen to defuse it for them. Now we all know who runs the show around here besides Andy
man they really CUT IT way to close on that first run
my heart almost EXPLODED from the tension.
Can we get Jane and Andy to play this? And get other bomb defusers? This is hilarious!
Cutting the wire and defusing the bomb with under five seconds left? Wow, bomb defusal really DOES work like they show it in the movies!
this is literally the best thing ever
We definitely need an OxBox edition, that would be awesome! This could be fun for team building, I must mention it to my team manager.
Ah this is good fun, a lot easier with the defuse manual printed instead of having to scroll up on the computer, however, VR is likely a lot easier than mouse and keyboard. I think the first time we got to memory module we lost too because no one was paying attention to what number the defuser pressed. Absolutely great! I could never play that game my heart wouldn't stand the stress.
Played this at an office party when before it got VRd... really hilarious. :D
I watched this while doing a Sporcle quiz with a time limit, and it made the stakes a lot higher.
Awesome in all forms, but best played with VR and printed out paper manual!
This was so tense but I absolutely love the concept for this?? o.o
I want everyone having a turn in the hot seat. It would be great to see how they each handle it.
They are surprisingly good at this game.
