TCAAC I kidnap lolis and Redsheep is a fucking liar Back In the 90s I wasn’t on A very famous tv show I'm BoBo the Zebra (bobo) Bobo the zebra Don't act like you don't know And I'm trying to hold on to my past It's been so long I don't think I'm gonna last I guess I'll just try And make you understand That I'm more zebra than a zebra Or I'm more zebra than a zebra (BoBo!)
I was surprised by how little they used the actual ending song this season, but I think that signifies how Bojack is no longer trying to “hold onto his past” and how he is actually trying to recognize and hold himself accountable for the shitty things he did in his past. He’s trying to be Bojack the better person, not Bojack the 90’s Star.
good thought, never thought of it like that ha. Was also surprised how little the original ending song was used but these covers are great! Looks like another year for season 6..
Your comment reminds me of that "I see you" scene. We look for so much meaning, like in the Horsin Around show with the coffee cup, when really it was just put there. We look for meaning in everything when really who knows, the producers just simply wanted to change up the ending credit scenes by having a different cover play every time.
Bobo the Zebra's opening could've had so much potential, it was a bad idea to not add princess Diana, -princess carolyn- pink floating gas of yarn, chocolate peanut brittle the dog, and the hand emperor.
GuppyDesu OH SHIT...it thought it was familiar...I been so distressed from watching the season multiple times that I didn’t notice...and the first time I watched it, it was technically like 5 one the morning lol
I mean, it does make a little bit of sense considering the context of the episodes it was in. Free Churro, while being the saddest episode in the season in my opinion, highlights aspects of Bojack's parents that show how he truly felt about them. They hurt him and made him out to be this person he is, this self destructive shell, and he has a very difficult time forgiving what they did to him. The Amelia Earhart Story highlights the aspect of Princess Carolyn's life that has haunted her for years as shown in the episode; her inability to have children. Going back to Eden after the pain her adolescence brought her (being blamed for a miscarriage she didnt even intend on), it brought some sort of nostalgic feeling that was overall bittersweet. That's my thoughts on it
I just realized, one of the few times this season that the original version of the credits song plays is when Diane put the moment from New Mexico into Philbert and Bojack and her stare each other down just before credits. In that scene, right before the credits start, you get the first initial guitar strums of the end credits song. This has only been done once before, in season 1 right after Bojack kisses Diane. At this point it can still be written off as coincidence. But it'd be cool if every time Bojack and Diane have some sort of friendship changing moment that they can't go back on, that that moment is met with those starting guitar strums, followed by the original credits song.a Sorry if none of what i just wrote made any sense lol
I thought it ment that the past bojack was trying to forget, was brought back up again. You noticed how back in the 90s, like the OG version, has been played this whole season until Diane ask what happened in New Mexico? There wasn't even a "hey are you the horse from horsin' around!?" Reference. He was finally letting go of his past, and Diane brought it all back to his face. It caused the OG outro to come back, because his past came back to haunt him.
Austin Verburg the strum is used in other places too. I just watched the episode where bojack is on Mr peanutbutter game show in season 2 and the strum is present.
princess carolyn’s makes sense with its softness and tenderness, as in “the amelia earhart story” we see her at her most vulnerable. the “free churro” one almost sounds like circus music, which fits with bojack’s humiliation with the world in that episode.
I really, really like how you matched the first three versions visually with an over the shoulder shot of Diane, Princess Carolyn, and Bojack looking off to the side. Super cool! I wish you were able to do the same with Mr. Peanutbutter and Hollyhock for the last two, but I get that you're limited by what the show gave you to work with. It's still nice that you matched all the shots of Mr. Peanutbutter in the car for the Halloween one.
The halloween one sounds like Danny Elfman, like his theme to Mars Attacks or Beetlejuice since it's kind of like what you kind of hear in Tim Burton's movies whenever he has Elfman on board to do the music. The one for Free Churro sounds like funeral or church music which is fitting.
To Diane, even she having a Vietnamese blood in her but she never feel like she is a Vietnamese. The lyrics in this version actually really sound stupid to a Vietnamese but it said that Diane try really hard to be a Vietnamese without know any of them.
@@TriglycerideBeware well, as far as I'm concerned, this soundtrack doesn't have a name (yet). You can look up "creepy ambient chord music that plays for 5 seconds in Bojack Horseman S5E11 after he strangles his girlfriend and looks at giant balloon version of himself", but I'm afraid you're not gonna find anything.
The Vietnamese version is epic
sd0824 its is, tbh I would listen to all of theses too sleep. Well except for the rock one at the end
sd0824 Thao Nguyen, buddy. She fronts the band Thao and The Get Down Stay Down. Treat yourself and listen to her stuff.
ThatGuyGlenn rock ones my favorite next to the princess coraline one
Okay, th

They should've made one for Bobo the zebra

YSwap and it’s not just about BoJack anymore and it’s all about these other characters
I’m disappointed in the lack of use of the OG outro song but you got a point he’s changing and he can’t hold on to the past
i like that the first three shots are so similarly composed. because they all have the characters looking back and addressing their roots in some way.
I love this comment so much
I love how many custom intro and outros there are this season
ThatGuyGlenn ikr this show is just great
Bobo the Zebra's opening could've had so much potential, it was a bad idea to not add princess Diana, -princess carolyn- pink floating gas of yarn, chocolate peanut brittle the dog, and the hand emperor.
I think it was to keep the surprise as the story goes
Julien I hope they make that April special next year in between season 5-6 of course for 2019

it actually is, a writer from bojack asked the creator permission to use it

It's a bit weird that the acoustic guitar version is sadder that the organ version
WOLF36554 hmm.. could it be an intention?
Hmmmm
WOLF36554 I mean why would bojack want us to feel about Bea’s death cause she was a bitch lolz

The organ edition was supposed to be funny, which mixes well with the last line in free churro.

It was an episode about holding on to the past so that's why they used the original version
Austin Verburg the strum is used in other places too. I just watched the episode where bojack is on Mr peanutbutter game show in season 2 and the strum is present.
The Carolina version is my favorite.
You can look for it in RUclips, Alex Heflin did it. ruclips.net/video/ktMMp08hW6w/видео.html
Nice touch that the vietnamese version was sang by someone named Nguyen. Or maybe it's true that there are no other vietnamese surnames hahaha
Nguyễn was actually the name of the last imperial dynasty in Vietnam.
In fact, 40% of Vietnamese is named Nguyen
@@bartoszszalaj The other 60% is named Tran.
Lmao
Nguyễn Thị Nguyễn
The halloween one reminded me of the Treehouse of Horror episodes from Simpsons
YES! I thought it sounded familiar haha
If you guys ever played Hit and Run, it sounds like driving music you'd hear in the Treehouse of Horror themed level
Yup, reminds me of the last level of Hit and Run. Very Elfmanian.

Boxer versus Raptor...NA NA NA NA NA NA!

Anon E. Mousse because it’s an organ lol
Well funerals aren't always supposed to be happy
Reminds me of Castlevania.

It sounds like a funeral and circus music at the same time

That punk rock cover is FUCKING GREAT.
I like how all of them are a cover of bojacks theme. And then mr peanutbutters is just completely different from the rest
